@aanover i had overlapping work experience and graduation date. in fact, i had business registration, tax filing, client testimonials and letters mga 4 years before i graduated working over 20 hrs per week as consultant. submitted about 30+ docs in all pero hindi umubra. it was all legal and even had my accountant do an affidavit to testify all i submitted were correct and true. they still considered 2 years deduction after my grad date. but that's ok, pasok pa rin sa 60pts for 189 visa. hope it helps.

for my COE+JD for my other work, i prepared the jd according sa anzsco description pero reword it according sa actual function ko sa companies that i worked for. so HR did not hesitate to approve it kasi totoo naman and you are not overclaiming sa ACS. if meron items sa anszco na hindi mo nagawa, find something similar in nature sa work mo to replace with. if wala talaga match, don't claim it. important is to be truthful pero meron naman creative ways to still achieve the desired results.

Yup. tama raw yun magkakaroon lng daw ng credit yun certification mo kung CISCO certification ang certificate mo kasi yun ang related sa networking na nominated job mo

@aanover your degree will be comparable to AQF Diploma and 5 or 6 yrs of work exp is required completed within 10 yrs or anytime im the past. So kun prior graduation or overlapping ng graduation un work experience mo e ok lang. So if u started working in May 2006, u will have a total of 8 years work exp by May 2014. So depende kun 5 or 6 yrs ang ideduct sa yo then u can claim 5points or 0.

@rcroque since acs updated the summary of criteria early this year tinanggal na ung MCSA.
For microsoft eto nalang nakalagay: MCSE/MCSD at MCSM.

@rcroque, tingin mo aligned ba ang Microsoft cert. sa systems admin na work tapos sa course mong Computer Engr.? naitanong ko lng po kc it seems or ganito n nga sistema ng ACS sa ngayon. Dati noong 2011 nagpa assess parang hindi ganyan ka higpit n may deduction cla sa working experience.

Kami tingin ko yung work ng hubby ko na tunog engineering din sa Accenture software engr. bka hindi rin nka aligned sa dati nyang work n programming sa Sales support kc sya sa ngayong project nila pero nid naming mag submit p rin ng jd pra malaman na walang puwang ung years of work nya at continues working sya. Pero tingin ko walang bearing yan sa assessment ng ACS. Finger cross i wish mali ako.

@magoo_z hi! thanks for your input. actually ung first assessment ko last year pa un. di na din talaga kasama mcsa sa criteria.. pero sa result letter ko ung mcsa ngaing AQF diploma major in computing.. akala ko makakatulong un sa qualifications ko para sana 2yrs lang madeduct sa work exp ko.

@heyits7me_mags feeling ko naman aligned ung microsoft cert ko. for win server 2k8 ung cert ko e so match naman sya for sys ad. tapos ung course ko na coe may mga subj din ako na related sa sys ad na role. weird lang kasi may friend ako same school kami tapos sya ece course nya pero 2 years lang deduction nya. mas related pa dapat ung course ko na coe sa it field.

@rcroque, case to case basis na kasi yan depending on the documents your schoolmate have submitted and the CO that handled the assessment. If u feel u can get what assessment result u need on your point system then go. If the assessment outcome has not change then use the same result and proceed to the next process. Sana kung malalaman lng ang reason ni CO kung bkit ganun outcome nya sa assessment result mo. Tama nman yun mas related ang Com. Eng. sa ECE.

rcroque, kelan kba nagpa assessed bago ba mag effect yung new guidelines ng ACS covering yung mga bagong certification ng Microsoft? kung ganun nga po effective pa yun noon. Check nyo rin po kc wala na nga sa bagong list ng ACS kung i-honor pa kung magpa new assessment kayo. Bka lang kasi i-send nyo tapos Hindi nman i-honor o bka rin pwede pasok n Sa ibang certification Ng Microsoft Yung MCSA new dati at pwede kayo kumuha Ng panibago. Tinitingnan ko Lang po ibang scenario Para magamit nyo pa Microsoft cert. in case at Sana makuha nyo Yung 2yrs. deduction nyo. God bless po.

Same tayo... last friday "Content cannot be acessed" yung nakalagay pag chinicheck ko status pero ngayon bumalik na sa usual screen and nasa stage 4 pa din sya. Medyo tagilid ako sa skills assessment kasi yung work experience ko eh more on sys ad mga 1-2 lines lng ang nakalagay na naghahandle kmi ng network... ni risk ko na yung comp network kasi yun nlng open for ss and nsa SOL pa sya... di ko na din na tailor ang coe ko sa occupation na tu... sana magka miracle haha or sana bigyan ako ng chance ng nag aassess na pumalit ng occupation.
Newayz good luck to us..sana positive ang skills assessment mo...

i think, ung school nyo nsa class 2 tpos ung ece mong schoolmate eh board passer kaya 2 yrs lang nabawas s knya.... maybe the reason, not sure though.... pero prehas lang kyo bachelor major in computing ang assessment...

Parang wala kasing guidelines ACS, unpredictable kung minsan ang result ng assessment. Parang dumadaan tayo Sa butas karayom nito Sa processing yung whole process ng migration.
