@persephone30 Sayang ang Writing nyo. Same kayo ni hubby nun 1st take sa IELTS, 6.5 din sa Writing. Kayang kaya yan! Practice/Review lang talaga... everyday 1 set ng Writing ang practice ni hubby, naka 7.0 na sya ng 2nd take. Good Luck!

Ask ko lang po. Meron 1yr. and 6mos. programming TESDA certificate si hubby sa STI(Systems Technology Inst.) wayback before he finished his 4yr. BS. Com. Sci. makakatulong ba yun sa skills assessment nya in terms of educational qualification points sa ACS ? Thank u in advance sa reply

Eto po assestment ng ACS sa akin:

Your Certification completed July 2013 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Diploma with a major in computing.

Your Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication completed April 2003 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing.

Pede po ba ako magclaim ng 10pts at the same time 15 pts? Or which is higher lang?

@heatman bro wala bang clause sa accesment mo na - "The following employment after MONTH YEAR is considered to equate to work at an appropriately". Kung meron, from that date ka mag simula mag bilang. uu tama whichever ang mas makakuha ng mataas na point yun ang iclaim mo.

Ni googled ko yung certificate ni hubby sa STI na 1yr. & 6mos. equivalent to AQF diploma level 5 pala yun. Ang volume of study sa AQF 1-2yrs. Send online na lang namin tertiary education rin yun more on technical nga lang...baka makatulong sa Bachelors nya section 2 school nya. Para 2yrs. ang deduction sa work experience. Sana tama.

Hi newbie here,

I graduated in a Section 2 school. My course is BS Biology (clearly not an ICT) but I do have certificate in U.P. diliman due to the short course that I have attended which was Database PL/SQL.

I am a Lead Software Quality Analyst and my total work experience is 7 years (from 3 different companies already). I am also a certified software tester ISTQB.

Do you think I still have to go with the RPL track?

@khatz, is your short course in UP Diliman equivalent to a seminar or does it has transcript of record that we might consider it as vocational course? try reading AQF( Australian Qualification Framewok) on how u might classify your learning in your short course so may find out where does it leveled in education. If its at least a diploma just like what's ACS standard list of qualification cguro 1 point yun para hindi kana dumaan sa RPL and u have a degree but its not related. I think ACS might consider that. I think from what i know ACS would only consider certifications that's only listed on their guidelines but try sending them online who knows they might consider that bka yun lng Microsoft at Cisco ang nka list down nila pero there are other certification pa nila na considered. @khatz, cguro walang bearing yung certificate mo sa UP diliman kung training or seminar lang kc hindi sya equivalent to any AQF level. Then kung ganun cguro RPL route ka. What do u fellow forumers need your input here. Just my 2 cents @khatz.

@khatz, additional info. if u apply nman for general assessment if your CO sees that your ICT content is insufficient on your educational qualification, they will request u to apply RPL route so better be ready. It is important that u read AQF where ur certification might fall in level of Australian education. Pki google na lng. Puntahan mo yung AQF level, i think.

Question naman po, if nasagot na po etong question ko pakisabi na lang po san pede basahin. I got may ACS assessment suitable for Network Admin. Kaso ang naassessed lang eh yung Job ko sa Pinas na 2 yrs and 3 mos experience. yung work ko dto sa SG di naassessed due to insufficient detail daw po, ngpass lang ako ng COE without job description kc kahit ano pagmamakaawa ko sa HR ayaw tlga. So my Boss gave me stat dec. pero mukhang d hinonor ng ACS. so that means d tlga ko pede mgclaim ng points s kanya, that is understandable. Ang question ko po pag nagapply ng State Nomination sa VIC, ngbabase ba sila sa exp assessed by ACS? kasi they need 3 years exp. yung experience ko sa Pinas nbawasan ng 2 yrs, so 3 months lang ang experience na nacredit. Pero I hvae 3 yrs exp dto sa SG which is di nga naassessed? Still cannot? Go for a different state without min experience needed?Salamat po ng madami.

tama po ba ang pg claim ko?

Company A: 08/05 - 10/07 - not suitable
Company A: 10/07 - 09/10 - Suitable ??? or 11/07 - 09/10
Company B: 11/10 - 01/11 - Suitable
Company C: 01/11 - present - Suitable

@frederique bro read this on this thread already at my nagclarify na nito. di ko lang mahanap yung link. ang ilagay lang daw sa eoi ang work experience which was assessed as suitable. in your case, ang ilalagay mo lang is yung 10/07 onwards. pag ilagay kasi lahat, ang mangyayari mag overclaim ka at bibilangin ng system ang total ng work experience mo pati yung hindi declared as suitable ni acs.

@ArvieP same din ang concern ko regarding sa vic ss. my clause dun sa portal nila na "Work experience in your nominated occupation must be post qualification. " Might want na mag appeal/pareview yung assessment mo baka ma reconsider at ma credit yung work xp mo sa sg. sayang at 3yrs+ din yan.

Else, you have to wait na mabuo mo ung 3yrs work requirement which is months from now nalang.

you can only claim the highest education level..
in your case.. that's the assessed AQF bachelor degree = 15pts..

Does the work experience I gained prior to qualification count?
We only count paid work experience 'post-qualification' toward the minimum work experience requirement. You should still include any 'pre-qualification' work experience on your resume for industry assessment purposes.

@ArvieP, as of now Vic SS lang ang alam kong open ang sponsorship kaya doon mo gusto mag apply. Totoo meron talaga required work experience mga state. Another thing to do kung hindi ka nman nagmamadali wait mo yun iba pang sponsorship to open on July 1, 2014 and know their requirements. Bka pwede nman at wala ka nmang piling state sa ibang state kna makapag apply ng SS. @magoo_z, 3mos na lang natira kay @ArvieP dun sa experience nya dito sa 'pinas reread mo ulit sa below part ng post nya.

@arvieP, pass ka ulit ng new detailed JD sa ACS yung ikaw na gumawa at ilagay mo yung koneksyon nyo ng boss mo sa ofis. Yung detailed JD na akala mong suitable na sa ACS. I mean magpa assess ka ulit kahit new assessment kc kung review bka lang mauwi sa dating result. Try mo lng ulit na makiusap na tulungan ka ng boss mo dyan sa SG. para ma credit yung SG experience mo. Godbless u

@ArvieP , had the same case sayo regarding sa isang prev work ko dito sa sg. hindi nag issue ng coe w/ job description at role yung hr. generic coe lang ang pwede daw nila ibigay. ang ginawa ko ay gumawa ako ng template, pinapirmahan ko sa direct boss ko at ni request ko na gumamit ng letterhead ng company pag i print niya. na assess siya successfully at na honor ng acs. same approach eto ng ginawa ng iba per previous discussions/thread.

@magoo_z Thanks po, ang arte kc ng company ko ayaw magpagamit ng letterhead. di daw pirmahan if gagamitin. So I guess the best route is to try SA SS sa July 1, since waiting pa din nmn po ako sa IELTS remarking ko. thanks po ulit

@heyits7me_mags Actually close n po sy sa VIC pero base sa pag monitor ko ang code ko eh nagoopen lang po sa ACT, VIC and SA. So while waiting po sa IELTS Remark at sa July 1 ngdedecide ako san pede magapply. Sabi po ng pinsan ko sa Sydney mas madami job opportunity sa VIC kaso may min requirement sila sa experience.Kaya ayun po ang aking prob. So for now best option would be SA SS. @lock_code2004, pareho cla ni heatman at ng hubby ko advised ko sa kanya submit rin nmin yung equivalent to AQF diploma nya sa STI na 1-2yrs. volume of study. Eh di whichever is the highest educational level pala dapat i-claim sa ACS meron din kc sya Bachelor degree BS Com Sci. Pwede palang yung credential na lng ni hubby sa 4yr. course. Sana gusto nmin i-pass yung short course sa STI credential para lang 2yrs. lang work xp deduction nya. Section 2 kc school nya. Pwede o hindi pala mkatulong. Bahala na...

Hi all, newbie here. Nais ko lamang pong magtanong at hingin ang inyong opinyon regarding sa case ko. Graduate po ako ng BSIT from a Section 2 University (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). Plan ko sana magpa-assess sa ACS by September kc by then pa lang magiging 6 years ang work experience ko as an application developer. Tanong ko lang enough na po ba ang 6 years work experience considering the fact na section 2 lang ang school ko? More than 2 years po ba ang deduction sa work experience if section 2? Plan ko sana Victoria SS but they require at least three years minimum experience(after deduction). Thanks in advance..

@speedmark, kelan mo natapos yung Bachelor degree mo, study ba muna bgo work. Depende kasi yan sa met date after met date, pag section 2 school 4yrs. work exp. deduction usually pero discretion na rin yan ng CO mo based on the documents you have submitted. Hanap kpa rin ng SS sa July 1 na meron yung nominated job mo sa ngayon kc yung ibang SS status limited or moderate priority na ang mga nominated jobs at normally by July pa halos lahat mg open. September pa nman yung antay mong 3yrs. ka cguro by the time ka magpa assess. Tsaka yun mga SS magkakaiba rin ng guidelines minsan walang required na lenght of work exp.
