How about citibank? Ok ba and accessible citibank sa Oz? Dito kasi sa sg kahit konti lang atm machines nila atleast meron sa lahat halos ng mrt stations :)
    nah... not that plenty!!

patay tayo diyan if nasa suburbs tayo as walang mga citibank atms.

you can't go wrong with a big 4; NAB and CBA kami.
ano po ang big 4 diyan sa Au?
Para makapag-apply online po ako dito sa SG then activate in Au soon (in God 's will).
Mate, google is your friend but since you ask, it shall be given to you... :)

We are already in Perth! :) ang ginawa po nmen about our money, since my account kme sa citibank nagopen kme dun ng foreign currency account for AUD. so nagpapachange kme ng aud sa labas which is mas mganda ang palitan kesa bank's rate. then pinapasok nmen sa foreign currency account. then pinaactivate nmen tong account nato bgo kme pumunta here. so withdraw nmen ung money thru atm with no charge. at saka nmen dineposit sa NAB. iwas bank's exchange rate tlga ang purpose nmen.

Anyone here na recently nagtransfer ng savings from PH to AU banks? My mom asked BDO and required daw may TIN and dapat approved ng Bangko Sentral. I understand yung part about TIN pero bakit kailangan may approval ng Bangko Sentral, hindi naman ako mag-ttransfer ng super laking amount.

shop around... key points to remember is iba dito ang savings account versus your everyday transactional account.

our savings is parked in Commbank Goal Saver; 3.8% nalang sya (it was 4.75% when we opened 18 months back) as long as you increase your ADB by $200 per month.

Some back offer introductory rates for the first 3-4 months upon account opening.

    bakit walang charge?
sabi ni citibank sg, nde daw cla nagchacharge pag thru atm machine. pero pag over the counter ka, meron daw cla charge. meron kc cla max limit na pde mo iwidraw thru atm. note na ung account namen eh foreign currency account -aud. nung nagpunta kme dito sa citibank bldg sa perth, walang charge nung nagwidraw kame sa atm nila. pero pag sa iba ka nagwidraw, even citibank atm pero outside ng bldg nila, we noticed na nagchacharge xa. so lagi lng kme dun sa atm machine sa citibnk bldg nagwiwidraw.

    Tips:

    - open transaction at savings account with the big 4 banks or any bank that has branch or banks where you can transfer money from overseas to Australian bank.
Look for banks that has no monthly fee. Some banks requires you to deposit from 1k to 2k per month to waive the fees.

Big 4 banks provide lower interest rate or they only provide honeymoon rate like good for 3-4months bonus interest rate.

Yoiu can stay with them until the bonus rate expire then move your money to an online savings account which provide higher interest.

Exampke is Ubank. They provide up to 4.17% interest rate.
    - makakuhaka ba sa pinas ng above 4% interest rate sa bank

note: I am not connected with Ubank or bnkwest any banks or finance institution I mention.

    What I did:
    - I have bank account with one of the big 4 banks. Open transaction and savings account.
I use the transaction account for everyday expenses as it has a link debit card.
    - Open a online savings account with higher interest rate.
savings account cannot be use for everyday transaction.
    - Advise your emplyer to split the deposit of your salary. deposit the monthly alloted budget on the transaction account and deposit the remaining salary to the online savings account with higher interest rate.

This way, you separate your bucket for expenses and for savings.

Actually, you cna create multiple account in Ubank if you want to be more specific about the savings like before I created an account for house deposit / emergency fund.

    - Open children savings account to get higher rate than online savings account.
Sample info of children savings account:

Hi. Just wanna share what I did. BM last May 2023. I opened Commonwealth Bank while in the Phils, online lang siya, then activated it pagdating ko here sa Australia. The card is available na when you arrive in the branch of your choice. Basta magdala lang ng passport and visa grant. Itatanong rin yung TIN mo sa pinas.

That's designed for migrants. Hope it helps.

Thanks po sa reply, were still thinking kng kukuha na now or sa Aussie na.
Anyway im still researching which bank we can use.
    thanks again.

Sobrang helpful po nito. Thank you
