@legato09 TFN application is online once you arrived in AU..
you will receive it thru post, after approx 2-3 weeks..
Thanks @Bossing Lock_Code2004, so even though it is online puede lang po kami mag apply kapag andun na kami, kahit po initial entry lang kami?

Wala naman po bearing kung mag apply na kami ng TFN pag initial entry naming then kasi balak naming next year pa totally lumipat...so mahabang time na di sya magagamit.

@TasBurrfoot salamat sa sagot ser. anong bank mo jan sa Australia?
Commonwealth and NAB kami ni misis...
@TasBurrfoot, yung sa NAB mo yun ba yung inopen mo online while still here in the Phils or SG pala?

Inavail mo ba yung Classic with iSaver nila na bank account?

Then pina telegraphic transfer mo din yung money from SG Bank Account to NAB?

    Tama po ba?

NAB opened while in SG; yup classic + iSaver and yes, DBS to NAB... :)
Hi sir. Thank you.

kapag everyday account lang, walang maearn na interest...pero kapag may savings account ka, like the nab isaver, your savings will earn interest with no account keeping fees and unlimited withdrawals.

Commbank GoalSaver to.

By the way, ano ang sinasabi nilang interest rates nila?

    Thanks, thanks! :)

Ang siste, parang forced savings every month if you want to avail of higher interest rates. Sinubukan ko lang talaga for 1 month.

May ganun din sa Westpac? Thanks!

    :)

kapag everyday account lang, walang maearn na interest...pero kapag may savings account ka, like the nab isaver, your savings will earn interest with no account keeping fees and unlimited withdrawals.
Hi mam. What's the catch kaya?

@Obi, no "catch" really. those 2 products will have different account numbers. siguro the bank makes the isaver optional because some people have some difficulty in saving so they just opt for the everyday account.

Commbank GoalSaver to.

    Salamat!!!

    :)
GoalSaver ako ngayon @Nadine... Bale yung savings namin from SG dito muna nakapark until we will have the guts (and more capital) to buy a house.

Currently at $4.05% a month if you add $200/month...

It is a bit more generous in the rates as it is giving 20bps more...

At 4.05%; your $5000 should be earning around $16.85...

Actually, I had more than 5k po eh. Lugi ako talaga. Tatanggalin ko na. Sinubukan ko lang for a couple of months kasi Commbank seemed to have the "best" rates....NOT!

Bibisitahin ko westpac as per @nfronda. I will also look into the NAB reward saver. Ang NAB iSaver ko currently, yung money andun is also not earning interest. :(

    Thanks for the input!

I agree with @jaero. maliit lang talaga amg interest kapag sa savings unless malaki na ang savings mo. If u are a risk taker, as what jaero has mentioned, invest ur money (pati super funds) into stocks or bonds.
