i believe employment contract or letter stating your employment start and end dates would suffice.

you can use the letter of inviation kahit non-relative. its not 'sponsorship' per se, its just an additional supporting doc for their application. personally, i havent heard of anybody i know getting declined recently. so you don't have to worry
