Departure from outside Philippines

I have just read this article on my Grant letter:

Important Information for nationals from the Philippines

There are guidelines on departure formalities for all international bound Philippine
nationals. Further information regarding this process is available at our website at
www.philippines.embassy.gov.au/mnla/Exit_Permits_Philippine_Nationals.html

As you have been granted a permanent visa, you are required by the Commission of Filipinos
Overseas (CFO) to attend the pre-departure seminar. Further information about this process is
available at www.cfo.gov.ph

Ask ko naman po kung required ito if me and my family are currently residing on a different country and permanent residence visa status din kami.

Registered naman po ako sa OWWA from our local embassy.

Thanks and God bless.

    Thanks sir for your clarifications.

Medyo complicated scenario namin, bale all of us will be travelling to Australia from Bahrain (Middle East).

Once initial entry at naverify na all passports namin, my wife and son will be travelling back to Philippines muna, then later on balik sila ulit may mga isettle pa kasi.

If all of our passports have been verified na in Australian Immigration, do we still need to undergo this CFO and PDOS?

By the way, I have already attended PDOS last 2005.

    Thanks uli

Obviously hindi na dapat kasi nga pumasok kayo sa au outside pinas nman but your actual problem is pag napatapat ka sa annoying na immigration officer na just "following blindly" kung ano ang inutos. Most likely if thats the case pakiusapan at paliwanagan mo nlang mabuti at usually wala nman cguro magiging problema. Either way you can still go and attend pdos/cfo if you have "free" time and iwas sakit ng ulo na rin plus wala ka na kung ano ano iniisip. Its your call. Ako cguro, in your case, malamang di na ako attend pdos/cfo and kakausapin ko nlang mabuti yung ph immigration. Malaki din kasi chance di na yan hanapin pag nkita nila may tatak na passport mo and galing kna au. Wait mo suggestions ng iba.

By right, hahanapan ng PH immigration yung mag-ina mo ng CFO certificate; being a landed PR does not exempt you from this stupid requirement.

And yeah, if you will depart from the Philippines on a one-way to Australia, you will still need a CFO Certificate. Country specific kasi itong seminar na ito eh so balewala ata yung PDOS mo back in 2005.

@ruelcortez_BH Sir, coming from the same part of the world (Middle East)-UAE naman po ako, I just need to ask you kung kinailangan nyo pa po bang ipa-authenticate at padaanin sa Australian embassy sa Manila yung NBI clearance nyo for Australian Migration? 3 days na kasi hindi pa sumasagot CO ko, kailangan ko na ipadala ang Form 5 ko sa Manila.

    Salamat po!

@ewikaah, first of all congrats sir at may CO na kayo. Di na sir dumaan pa sa Australian embassy sa Manila yung NBI. Pagka receive ko ng NBI namin scan agad then upload, di na rin namin pinadaan sa Notary or Certified Copy. Okay na yan sir. Good luck.

Sir, by the way ano yung Form 5?

    Hope that helps.
