Cancer Patients

Hi Guys,

I would like to ask for someone who has the same situation as mine, not exactly the same though, but anything that has something to do with medical conditions. I was recently granted Subclass 309 last Jan. 29, 2014, even though I had a thyroid cancer. My blood tests which I got yesterday showed that my cancer is back. I am worried that they might reject my permanent application when I get there in Sydney. Any inputs or comments anyone please? Thanks

During the visa processing ala talaga akong alam na my thyroid issue din pala ako that time.

If u dont mind sharing..

    I have cancer/heart disease /diabetes /tuberculosis /HIV/AIDS /am obese...will I meet health criteria?

No health condition, with the exception of tuberculosis, automatically precludes the issue of a visa. Apart from tuberculosis, every condition identified in the course of the examinations, or through the questions you are asked in your application, will be individually considered for possible impact on the Australian community, including the costs of treatment or support that would be attracted by that condition. Visa officers are not authorised to advise on medical conditions: the opinion on whether a condition means an applicant does or does not meet the criteria comes from the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth.

based lang sa nabasa ko before, baka irefer ka sa MoC para sila magdecide, but I have no personal experience since I am still waiting for IELTS prior lodging EOI. same case kase tayo I was diagnosed before pero doing good so far, worry ko din pag may history ng Ca baka mahirapan ma grant ng visa. anong variant ba ng thyroid Ca gun sa iyo? from what I understand highly treatable naman yun ibang variants, mas concern yata nila sa Au eh yun mga nakakahawa na sakit (e.g. Tb). pero again not so sure, based lang din sa mga nababasa ko.

@fyi_12 Hello everyone.. I am currently applying for a student visa in Australia and am planning to bring my fiancee as my dependent. He has had TB 5 years ago pero treated na. Only problem is, may scarring parin sa lungs nya which can be seen on Xrays. They say it will not go away na once may scarring na talaga but it doesn't mean na nakakahawa pa rin. Will this affect our status in applying for his visa? Please po I need to be advised kasi Im really worried na baka ma deny yung visa nya.. Thanks po.

Hi Andy, it depends on the immigration. Usually pag may clearance naman na ng doctor naaapprove namn :)
