simple question re: applying for a visa

mas maganda or mas makakamura ba kapag sabay na sa application ko ang wife and child ko? nagsisimula palang kami magresearch about this kaya sana mabigyan linaw po ito. salamat in advance.

Here is my timeline with fees incurred :) 2012
April 21- IELTS Passed (British Council Sg S$310)/ April-March -requirements for VETASSES, CTC 4 copies,DHL etc. (S$600)/March 19- Apply VETASSES online ($1150 aud)/June 06, 2012 - VETASSES (Architectural Draftsman) feedback positive /August 08- Apply EOI visa 190 at 70 points/September 11- Resubmit EOI (Was asked to change EOI form)/November 22- Apply for SS in WA (arch draftsman still available)/November 22- Resubmit EOI (changed the State from Victoria to WA)/December 05- Initial Contact by DIAC saying WA is interested./December 07- WA SS approved December 10- DIAC Invitation received (1 week down ecomm) December 14- Lodged Visa $3050aud (plus technical issues of ecom visa was "lodged" December 21 daw)/ Dec 28 - Medicals (frontload)/January 8 -CO Assigned/January 23-PCC/ JANUARY 23---VISA GRANT!!!!!!!!!!

    Mas praktikal po na isama niyo na ang pamilya niyo sa visa application. Isang bayaran at isang application siya.

    One thing to consider though is the financial capacity...Kelangan po may show money kayo para makita ng immigration na kaya niyo sustentuhan ang paaral at pakain ng pamilya nang 3 - 6 buwan.

    Kaya ang diskarte ng iba, yung main applicant lang muna ang pupunta ng Australia. Then pag may trabaho na at may naipon na, saka magpepetition na isama ang pamilya :)

    Wow! thanks LokiJr. does it mean na AUD2900 ang babayaran sa aming tatlo? I thought $2900 kse each applicant. and may Idea ka ba kung how much na show money needed?

    Kuya @LokiJr, sa 175 po, hindi kelangan ng show money. So kahit ilang family members mo pwede isama sa isang application lang. Mas matipid yun, isang bayaran lang. Dun sa application fee, meron lang question how much funds do you intend to bring to AU. Rough estimate lang ok na pero hindi ka hihingian ng proof of funds or show money. :) Actually, same din sa 176, hindi kelangan ng show money. Not sure with other types of visa pero so far wala pa ko narinig na nagrequire si DIAC na magsend ng proof of funds.

    Tama lang na mauna isa para pag nakahanap ng work pwede na sumunod ibang family members pero no need to lodge a separate visa application for them kasi pwede ngang isang application na lang. :)

    Nominated Occupation: Software Engineer (261313) - Husband is the primary applicant.

    10.21.2012 - Arrived in Melbourne. This is the day that the Lord has made. :)
    03.26.2012 - Visa granted. God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good! :)
    03.23.2012 - PCC submitted and medicals finalized
    03.02.2012 - Application being processed further / CO assigned
    06.26.2011 - Lodged Visa 175 application

    @Bryann, JClem, sa ibang visa options kailangan ang show money...sa 175 di na kailangan...sa 176, napansin ko yung ibang states humihingi e...Kung Family Sponsorship naman, kailangan may show money yung kamag-anak na nasa Australia...

    Kaya mas praktikal talaga ang 175 visa...strikto pero at least wala hinihingi masyado in terms of financial capacity :)

    ung Victoria, hindi sila humihingi ng show money. So as WA.

    April 16, 2011 - took IELTS (L:8, R:7.5, W:8, S:7.5 OBS:8) I June 2, 2011 - submitted skills assessment to EA I October 26, 2011 - applied for Victoria State Sponsorship I December 03, 2011 - fiancee took IELTS I December 26, 2011 - lodged visa 176 (Victoria SS/Melbourne) I January 23,2012 - CO Allocation (Team 6) I February 20, 2012 - Submitted Police Clearances (Philippines, India & Maldives) I February 26, 2012 - finished medicals I March 13, 2012 - VISA GRANT! THANK YOU LORD!!! I December 04,2012 - initial entry as stated in the visa grant notification

    Hi guys. May tanong ako regarding Victoria state sponsorship. Kakapasa ko lang kasi ng assessment and naka-schedule for IELTS sa April 21st. Pwede na ba akong mag-apply for state sponsorship kahit wala pang IELTS? Thanks in advance.

    Hello ulit. I can't seem to find a separate thread for Victoria state sponsorhip so I'll just post my follow-up question here. Talaga bang aabot ng 12+ weeks ang result ng application sa Victoria? Anyone who got the decision in less than that?
