Hello! I am seeking an advice about my case.. Me and my husband are going to Australia this January 2016 with visa 489 (my husband is the main applicant btw). I worked as a nurse in Pinas and in UAE and I want to continue my profession in Oz, but the problem is, i didn't get all 7 in my ielts test, am i still eligible to take a bridging program? If not, would it be a problem if there's a gap in my nursing job experience?

@miajb For the bridging course you need to get 7 in all components. You can still study Nursing by getting a 1 yr conversion course or if you really want to do a bridging course you can retake the English test. There are many options now like PTE, OET and TOEFL-IBT, not just IELTS. :)

I think its okay if its not continuous as long as you have the required experience (clinical practice) which is 450 hours within the last 5yrs.

Pwede po ba ma'am mag partime job while nag bridging? Or yung conversion lang may work right?

Thank you po ulit miss @Cassey

@miajb You're welcome. Oo mas madali PTE. 489 visa ninyo tama ba? From what i know you can work as much as you want with that visa as long as it's in the regional area where you applied. :) Check your visa grant, the conditions are there. God bless.
