I might be wrong din, meron lang kasi ako natatandaan na nabasa somewhere na holding a vendor certification might be enough to qualify for group b, syempre on top pa nun ibang requirements. Pero just forget what I said @tikbalang, baka kasi I'm giving false hope for a suitable assessment. Best way is to ask ACS yourself kung pwede yun case mo.

Hi Guys looks like I may have the answer to the question about the Education Qualification...

check out this pdf from the immi.gov.au ( http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/points-test.pdf )

medyo malinaw na ng konti ung tungkol sa schools that falls on Section2 and 3, as well as for those people na iba ang degree and current profession

    Educational qualifications
Points can only be awarded for the highest qualification attained. Example: If an applicant is assessed as having completed a Bachelors Degree and a Doctorate Degree, they will only be able to claim points for the Doctorate Degree. The following table outlines the number of points awarded for an applicant’s highest education qualification:

    Points Description of education qualifications
    20 - Doctorate Degree
    15 - At least a Bachelor Degree
10 - Australian Diploma or trade qualification.
10 - Award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation

To claim points for a qualification obtained overseas, the qualification will need to be recognised as being of a standard comparable to the relevant Australian level qualification. Generally, applicants will be able to request an opinion on their qualification claims from the relevant assessing authority when seeking their skills assessment. For further information about this process, applicants should contact the relevant assessing authority.
    See: www.immi.gov.au/asri/a-z.htm

An applicant may also be able to claim points for a qualification not related to their nominated occupation, for example they may hold a trade qualification related to their nominated occupation and an unrelated Bachelor degree. If the assessing authority conducting their skills assessment cannot provide an opinion on the non related qualification, applicants should contact the Vocational Education Training and Assessment Services (VETASSESS). VETASSESS is the national assessing authority for a broad range of management, administration, professional and associate professional occupations.
    See: www.vetassess.com.au

    Aolee,

saktong 65 points ka rin lang ba when you logged your application (and section 3 yung school mo) Just realized na section 2 nga pala yung school ko hhaahahh, but then again na-log ko na yung application ko so... wala ng bawian :P isip ko na lang, pag nagrant ng AU yung VISA, then Id be rewarded with a bright future, if not, nagkaron lang ng dent yung car fund ko bwahahahah! Its a risk worth taking I guess (or am I just trying to justify my fears bwahahah!)

I was looking at your IELTS score, having 9 in Listening and Reading would mean you got kinda above average IQ. If your school falls on section 2, you probably have scholastic grade, and probably belongs to latin honor of 'laude ? Accdg to RMA (registered migration agent), DIAC is also looking and weighing for other factor like good grade, and or PRC license in awarding for overseas educational qualification. Think positive, you have a great chance of granting visa. . Your australian dream will soon come true. CHEERS.

Ooops, we have the same occupation pala, 6 months ago, super bilis ang processing ng Business/Systems Analyst occupation for visa 175. Napaka-indemand daw ng occupation natin. Last October i got job offer from Adelaide (Hudson agency), few weeks ago Canberra (Hays) was inviting me for skype interview. I turned down the interview kasi urgent daw ang position.

@ Itchan, may separate thread pala, :) so pwede na i assume ang 15 points kung Bachelor degree whether anong CAT ka? at nilagay ng ACS or assessing authority na ...your degree has been asssessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor Degree with a major in computing

Skill nominated :262113 Systems Administrator|Oct 12, 2011 -Submitted documents to ACS|Oct 28, 2011 -ACS result ( Comparable to an Australian Bachelor's Degree)|March 31, 2012- IELTS Exam|April 13, 2012 -IELTS Result ( R-7.5 L-7.5 W-6.5 S-7.5=OB=7.5), requested for remarking but no change|July 01, 2012- EOI submitted|Aug 02, 2012- Submitted SA SS ( visa 190)|Nov 06, 2012 - SA SS approval and 190 Invitation :) | Nov 08,2012- Lodged 190 visa|| Nov 23,2012- Visa Grant! Well, there's still an inherent risk to that, kasi nga sa DIAC pa rin ang final say kung ilang points and ia-award sayo, but their decision should be greatly influenced by yung ACS assessment since they are considered the "authority" in your specific field...

If DIAC knows everything, then there shouldn't be any point in checking with assessment authorities di ba (well, it makes business sense, since may fee) lol... But then again, schools not in section 1 is still at a disadvantage...

Bottomline is, I have searched online for more information about this prior to submitting my application but didnt really find any concrete example so I decided to take the risk and have it arbitrary na lng if questionin ng CO.

@itchan, tama ba yan you are willing to risk P141k or AUD2620 assuming for 15pts. in bachelors degree pero sure ka including your assumed 15pts. for a total of 65ts. Well, lets see if DIAC shall grant u a visa.

    Yup, 65 points:
    - 25 points for age
    - 15 points for education (toink!)
    - 15 points for experience
    - 10 points for english proficiency

Haha, actually na-lodge ko na bago ko narealize yung risk associated to it so dasal na lang hahaha!

Pero yun nga, iniisip ko na lang din na arbitrary kasi yung case ng school ko, section 1 yung main campus, pero section 2 yung extension campus (I spent a year sa main and spent 2 years sa extension) sooo, I guess I can still make it a case if ever - saka di ko rin matanggap na section 2 yung school ko sa totoo lang, anakng patatas, honestly, we paid a premium to get educated from that institution only to find out na section 2, tsk tsk, na-scam kami dun a...

Anyhow, I also think na medyo subjective yung process and that if your work experience show na competitive ka naman, maybe (just maybe) fate would reward you for taking a leap of faith haha! Besides san pa ba iba pwedeng i-invest ang 141K nowadays that would assure you of good future d ba? ala e, kulang pa ata to para sa engagement ring hahaha!

Bottomline, if I lose yun 141K, I can still recover it, but having the "what if" nung australian dream would definitely break me and haunt me for life :D

Soooo... I'll be the guinea pig ng scenario na to if ever bahahahah!

Besides, I dont know if its just me, but based on the following statements:

    DIAC WEBSITE (qualifications page):
"You must obtain documentary evidence of having completed one of the qualifications described above.

You should check with your assessing authority about documents that have to be provided to them to enable them to provide an opinion about qualifications and/or skilled employment. You must provide the department with copies of all the documents that you provide to assessing authorities.

For you to be awarded these points, documentary evidence must be included with your application.

Before lodging an application, please read all related requirements."

Meaning, assessing authority (ACS on my case) plays a big hand in evaluating my qualification and all Ive got to do is to provide proper evidence to DIAC to back it up...

Like what I've said, I am not endorsing people to take the same risk as I did, I just think na if para sakin tong AU, para sakin hehehe, if not, then may other plans si lord and by eliminating this path, dun ko lang siguro makikita yun ;)

Law of attraction mantra: magiging AU immigrant ako... woosaahhh

    haha!

    @itchan,

sana magka-CO ka na para mag-take na rin ng risk ang mga nasa non-section 1 schools. Aabangan ng friend ko ang case mo. He's from PLM with good grades. Hindi sya risk-taker. Plano pa nyang mag NAATI exam to get additional point for community language.

Lubos-lubusin mo na ang pagbigay ng info. What is your GW Average in percentage? Pagbabasehan kasi namin ang case mo. Thanks.

Law of attraction mantra: magiging AU immigrant ako... woosaahhh

    haha!
Bow! ako sayo itchan...tameme ako sa statement mo...may mga points ka dyan, brother, pagka ganyan kalakas ang guts ng tao walang imposible...DIAC shall agree with you and take your side and grant you that deserve visa.

Well, let us now hear from DIAC side as the visa you are hoping for is yet to come, let us see the result, this is gonna be a BIG day for us...mag aantay kami...

Marami susunod sa yapak mo pag nagkataon, he he he....GODBLESS!!!

Btw, please update us, sure na kasi yan after ABPF kana...here's my pat on your shoulder, bro. "manalig ka sa pinanindigan mo at sasaiyo ang magandang resulta nyan basta sa tingin mo ay tama ka".

    :) :)

    @itchan,

sana magka-CO ka na para mag-take na rin ng risk ang mga nasa non-section 1 schools. Aabangan ng friend ko ang case mo. He's from PLM with good grades. Hindi sya risk-taker. Plano pa nyang mag NAATI exam to get additional point for community language.

Lubos-lubusin mo na ang pagbigay ng info. What is your GW Average in percentage? Pagbabasehan kasi namin ang case mo. Thanks.
Actually, walang GPA na nakalagay sa transcript ko, neither did I provide a separate documentation to ACS for that (since di naman nila ata inaasses and grade, course content lang) hahaha, pero for sure e, hindi ako extraordinary student - and only focused on subjects na interesado ako (i.e. computer subjects). Didnt really put much attention sa social study courses, so yun mga yun ang hihila sakin pababa bwahahaha (no bagsak though) - bottomline is, hindi ako abot sa required GPA(?) ng section 2 and 3 na hearsay is 2.00 ata?
