Student visa to Long-term work visa?

Good evening, Nagpa plan po ako mag take ng Intensive Business English program sa Sydney starting January 2019. Meron po ba ditong nag start on a student visa, worked part-time then successfully transitioned to a long-term working visa and/or PR? Pano po ba nag wo work yung ganun? Nagbabakasakali lang po ako kung may mga ganung success stories dito. Yun kasi ang path na nasa isip ko. Thank you in advance! :)

@Viennr Out of curiosity lang, bakit yan yung balak mo na path instead of applying directly for PR?

Kaya student visa kasi gusto ko sanang tignan muna ang life dun kung magugutuhan ko mag settle dun bago mag commit ng time and effort na mag apply directly ng PR. Kaya din pinili ko na student visa for 3 months instead of tourist kasi para may chance na makapag work ng konti habang nandun. Hoping for your guidance po. Thank you.

@Viennr Hindi ako familiar sa student visa pero kung balak mo magtransition to TSS na 2 to 4 years working visa or to PR kailangan yung nominated occupation mo nasa list na ito https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/combined-stsol-mltssl

My suggestion is ngayon pa lang check mo na kung nasa list yung nominated occupation mo and kung ano ang requirements ng assessing body mo for a successful skills assessment. Kung hindi eligible for a 189 visa yung occupation mo pero eligible for 190 or 489 kailangan mo ng state nomination. Pwede mong icheck isa-isa yung website of each state to find out which ones ang nagssponsor ng occupation mo and kung ano yung requirements nila. Most states may separate guidelines for applicants who have studied or are currently working in their state.

Pabago-bago yung immigration rules and nagrrestart yung fiscal year every July so nagkakaroon din ng changes at that time. Pero maigi nang may identified path ka to obtain PR since 3 months lang yung course mo so baka makahabol ka pa sa fiscal year na ito or sa 2019-2020 fiscal year. Good luck!

Ahh. Naka discourage.

@Viennr Depende yan sa occupation mo. Ang napansin ko is if highly related yung course mo sa occupation mo, mga 1 or 2 years work experience is enough for a positive skills assessment. May nabasa nga ako dito na fresh grad with no work experience na nakuha ng positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia. Wala kang makukuhang points for employment pero at least may positive skills assessment ka and pwede kang magstrategize kung paano patataasin points mo in other ways. Check mo rin if may thread dito specific to your occupation. Baka mas may makatulong sa iyo on the requirements.
