@wizardofOz Thanks for your comment boss. I just panicked when I read the comments yesterday regarding the paper size. It's a relief to know that the same case as I have was accepted by EA.

My transcript and ITRs are also in long bond papers.

Goodevening Folks! Newbie here. Electronics Engineer po ako with 3 years experienced. Tanong ko po sana kung meron na ba ditong nagkaroon ng positive feedback from Engineer Australia with only 3yrs exp? I want to start gathering the required documents pero gusto ko po kasi makasiguro muna na qualified po ako. Wala pa po kasi akong nababasa dito na may naapproved na same with my situation. Sana po may makatulong sakin. :-)

@bigdreamer bro welcome to the forum! yung EA Skills Assessment is not dependent solely on your years of experience.

It is a factor of your Education and if you could demonstrate that the engineering activities you have undertaken or doing satisfies the competency elements of the Occupational Category you want to be assessed against to (i.e. Professional Engineer, Engineering Technologist...)

And to demonstrate these elements, you need to write 3 Career Episodes or your CDR.

3.7 Writing your three career episodes. You are required to present an account of your engineering activities on each of three separate career episodes.
A career episode is a documented component of your engineering education and/or work experience which captures a particular period or distinct aspect of your engineering activity. It needs to clearly demonstrate the application of engineering knowledge and skills in the nominated occupation, not the acquisition of knowledge. It may use material from:

• an engineering task undertaken as part of your educational program;
• a project you have worked on or are currently working on;
• a specific position that you occupied or currently occupy (in this case, the career episode must comprise more than a mere duty statement);
• a particular engineering problem that you were required to solve.

Therefore, hindi factor kung ilang years ang work experience mo, kahit sandali lang duration as long as you are able to demonstrate ALL competency elements... you can even demonstrate it through narratives of engineering work you did while studying, or maybe industry intership...

I suggest basahin mo mabuti yung MSA booklet, lahat ng info na kailangan andun na.. Goodluck bro!

May impact ba sa assesment ng EA if halimbawa last employment ko 2013 tapos nagpa assess ako 2015?

Engineers Australia requires a full summary of your education and engineering work history to gain a full perspective of your engineering workplace practice. Your CV must be a complete record of your activities and must not contain significant periods where no activity is recorded.

based sa pagkakaintindi ko dito, may impact sya sa overall assessment result mo... although hindi naman specified kung gaano kahabang period (months, 1 yr, 2yr, etc), before i-consider ng EA na "significant" na walang "engineering activity" ka na ginawa for that period.

definitely tatanungin ka kung bakit parang more than 1 year na hindi ka nag practice ng profession mo.

I think depende din kung paano mo i-jjustify yung "period" na yun, for example lang kung related sya sa health or dahil your running a family business, or nag-aral ka, etc.. sa case na ganyan I suggest email mo muna yung EA describing your case, before ka mag-lodge ng actual CDR application... Sumasagot naman sila sa mga ganyang inquiry.

Guys good eve sa lahat. currently gumawa ako ng CDR. Ask ko sana kung aano pupwede gawin ko kasi kaka reorganization lang s office namin. Nabago yung designation from engr ginawa ng HR namin na Associate pero basically ganun pa din naman ginagawa.

@basti bro, icheck mo sa COE mo kung engineer pa rin ang nakalagay...kung engineer pa rin e di oks...pero kung associate na ang nakalagay sa COE mo, then you have to replace sa CDR mo na associate na ung position...

pero kung gusto mo na engineer pa rin ang nakalagay sa CDR mo pero associate na sa COE, then you just have to explain sa CDR mo na nagkaroon ng changes...something like that... :-)

Pero yung period na ipapa assess ko is telecomms engr pa nakalagay sa COE ko.nakakuha na kasi ako ng mga COE before ko pa gumawa ng CDR Another thing, just like yung case ni Drachir 10, ang nilagay ko sa CDR episode 3 is 2012 pa pero same company pa din ako nag work. Its just nagkaron kasi ng internal reorg nung 2013 at medyo nag aadjust pa sa bagong job kaya Ive decided na yun na lang ilagay ko.may effect kaya to? SAlamat bro..

Ask na din if for example naapproved lahat visa etc. Meron bang specific amount na dapat mo dalin or ipakita show money? And how much? Thanks ulit

@Drachir10 bro clarify ko lang na kapag merong period na walang employment or engineering activity, it does not mean na hindi ka na maaassess as Professional Engineer kasi overall yung titingnan nila since yung Education mo etc..

I suggest mag-inquire ka muna EA about sa case mo kasi medyo subjective sya depende sa lahat lahat ng ippresent mong info.

Regarding sa Visa... I just know for Visa 189, 190... Walang show-money required bro

Ang date ng ipapa-aasess ko is nung 2011 to 2012 na telecomm engr pa ang position title ko at meron ako nakuha na COE nun. Pano po kaya maganda gawin? Sana po may makatulong. Salamat ng madami.

Ito po gagawin ko:

1. Hingi ng testimonial galing sa boss in company letterhead. Request na specifically ilagay na telecomms engr ang job title. ilagay din ang job descrition mo. ilagay din example ng projects mo na relevant sa nominated occupation mo. Ipa notarize ang Testimonial ng Boss

2. Gawa ng Statutory Declaration explaining everything. i-attach sa SD ang New COE, old COE and Testimonial ng Boss.

Note: Ang Statutory Declaration need din ng pirma ng attorney.

pwede rin mag self-Stat. Mas maganda pag maka attach ka ng email or publication from HR nyo regarding yung reorganization. to prove ano man sinabi mo sa SD.

Hello po! Tanong lang po, yung detailed job description na issubmit ko po should exactly matched kung ano yung nasa bulleted list nila?
At okay lang po ba kung dated 2010 pa yung JD ko?
Same docs na sinubmit ko nung nag apply kami dito sa Canada before, kaya 2010 ang date. Buti po at naitabi ko yung scanned copy.. Wala po ba magiging problema?
Some duties are matched kung ano yung nasa list for ME but some are wala.
Yan po kasi ang nakikita naming problem if ever ituloy namin ang application dahil wala po kami sa pinas and its difficult to gather those documents again the second time around. (Baka makulitan na sa akin)

@TTam yung content ng JD should be related to tasks of selected ANSCO code, minimum of 3 bullet tasks pwede na i think. By the way, anu status ng canada application mu bro if you dont mind me asking.
