Each year visa planning levels are set by the government for the programme year which forms the Migration Programme. The Migration Programme determines the maximum number of visas that can be granted in each visa category each year.

The Direction specifies that Migration Programme planning levels take precedence over priority processing arrangements which can affect the order in which applications are considered during the programme year.

question po regarding initial entry. 489 visa po ako sa SA. pag sinabing initial entry, kailangan sa mismong sponsored state ba pupunta or sa Australia in general?

@jaceejoef Initial entry can be anywhere in Australia...

Condition 8504 “initial entry date” is condition if your visa will be affected by is it was granted whilst you were outside of Australia. A visa holder with Condition 8504 attached must enter Australia before the date that is specified on their visa grant notice. This is found on visa grant notice under the “Must not arrive after” date. This gives the visa holder time to sort out personal affairs before travelling to Australia. For permanent migrant visas, this is usually five years from the visa grant date. The reasoning behind this is to reduce the possibility of the visa holder failing the core health and character requirements.

Condition 8504 does not however, require the visa holder to settle in Australia before the date. It merely requires that the visa holder sets foot on Australian soil before the date. It is not possible for the initial entry date to be amended.

@chabawamba for IED: SA yung sponsoring state pero plan namin sa Melbourne mag port of entry & exit kasi dun kami makikituloy muna sa friends namin then punta ng Adelaide. Pwede kaya yun? Kaso hindi na yata pinakikita ang passport kapag interstate air travel

@auyeah I see. I don't know which one is not updated. the global processing time link below or sa immiaccount mismo. I checked my 190 application last March and it still states 8-10 months however when checking the global processing time link below, it states 11-14 months.. baka in a few days mag update din yung sa account natin just like when there was a processing time change few mos ago.. hay naku, when I submitted it was still 7-9 then changed to 9-11 tapos bumalik sa 8-10 tapos ngayon 11-14?
