AMA Computer College ACS Result for BS-IT Grads

Hi guys, i just want to ask if any of the members here are graduates of AMA Computer College? Did any of you already had their ACS? What is the result and how many points are you eligible to obtain?

Napaisip ako kasi nag pass ako ng resume on one of the agency's at Makati and they said that the only way for me to get to AU is by Study Path. The main reason for them to conclude that is because of my educational background.

I am a 4 year graduate of BS-IT with 4 years experience working on the same field, 263111.

Mejo dehado ako sa statement nila kasi baka daw mag negative ang ACS ko di daw ako makakakuha ng points for PR.

What are your thoughts?

• hello not sure if na visit mo na yung schools/ section category here sa forum to check anong section nag fall ang AMA computer college?
  From there you can take that information and check sa ACS site kung ano ang posible mong makuhang result. Note din na each nominated occupation is may skill level na sinusunod (level 1,level 2) and you need na ma achieve ito to gain positive assessment.
  Makikita mo din kung ilan ang required na years of work experience na need ng ACS for a positive assessment.
  Good approach ka in terms of identifying first your chances before proceeding. Very important na you are able to assess first para alam mo if you have the means to achieve higher points based on your credentials.

Wait tayo for others under the same school who can share their experiences.

Hi @ms_ane thank you for assisting use new members! I did check po yung schools&section and it listed my school as Section 3.

Hi @ms_ane, do you, by chance, know what Section 3 means?

In layman's term,
Section 1: UP and Ateneo alike or level institutions (malalaking university)
Section 2: other mid size State Universities level (mid size)
Section 3: mostly ay mga small institutions.

Kapag section 3, equivalent to AU Diploma lang po yung bachelor mo. most probably the ACS will require you at least 5 yrs work xp or more before you can have a positive result. Hindi ka pwede magclaim ng points for work experience sa mga yrs na idededuct sayo ni ACS. Kapag Associate Degree/Diploma lang yung degree mo, 10 lang pwede mo maclaim for Education. Heto din issue ko kasi yung school ko nasa sec 3 din kaya I opted to study Master's here in AU. 263111 is a pro-rata occupation, meaning you need higher points para mainvite ka. Usually ang trend ngayon 85 pts pataas.

@hikari, that is good to know. Mas alam ko na options ko ngayon. Mukhang negative ako if mag pursue ako ng application sa AU.

I think much better student path muna..

wag mawalan ng pagasa. fight lang ng fight hehe. Mas magastos lang talaga mag SV pero di rin masama kung magreregional basta pagaral mo lang mabuti yung mga options mo

kung ipupush mo mag SV, i recommend na sa regional ka magaral kasi may addtional 5 pts. Kapag graduate ka din ng regional, may 3 yrs post-study visa ka hehe.

482 TSS ka ba? or nasa pinas pa? Try m mag-apply sa Amazon Web Services Sydney, they sponsor visa and relocation
