Paiba-iba yung rules dito. I think ang safest thing for you to do is to follow the WA Government page para updated ka sa changes and what rules will be applicable pag dating nyo.

Hello po! Is it possible to get a job in Australia even before your first entry as a 190 visa holder?

I found some vlogs that said they had to fly in first to attend interviews, get their TFN, etc; while there were a few who were able to find jobs even before they had their big move. My line of work is business analysis/consulting and we plan to go to Sydney. Just checking po if others had experience on this especially now that perhaps most of the application processes are online.

How did you transfer your funds from PH to AU?

apply for job or apply for medicare? kung sa medicare, i'm not sure, d ko sinubukan mag apply offshore.

It depends on the industry and company. Many Aussie companies prefer to hire those with "local" experience (meaning work exp in Australia), while others don't mind if you don't have local experience. Are those vlogs you've seen highly related to your industry?

As far as I know, you can only apply for your TFN when you get onshore, as your TFN will be sent to you via post within 28 days (they don't send it via email). As for interviews, some companies may be flexible with doing online interviews instead of in-person, but this really depends on the hiring process of the company. Give it a go though; try applying even from offshore, and if you get asked when are you arriving in Australia, you can tell them your timeline and see if they're okay with that. May mga companies kasi na urgently hiring, so they might want to hire someone already onshore, whereas others may allow you to start at a later date.

From my experience dati, nasa limit ng card yan. If pasok naman sa limit, try to enroll the vard you're using sa paypal. Baka gumana.

generally, ikaw mamimili ng super fund (marami ka pag pipilian online). once nakapili ka na, create an account with your preferred super fund tapos bigay mo yung kelangan ng company mo na details.

as @Jacraye said, you yourself have to setup/create a super account. Your employer may have a default or standard super fund that they use (like REST for retail jobs, UniSuper for university jobs), and it's up to you whether you want to contribute to that fund or to somewhere else. Once you've created an account with a specific fund, you have to provide your TFN and super account details (super fund name, fund address, phone number, unique superannuation identifier/USI, account name, and member number) to your employer. You usually would provide these if you want to contribute to a super fund that is not the default for your company. If you're happy to contribute to the default fund, usually TFN lang ang info na ibibigay mo, because the company will help you set up the super under their default fund.

Hi, Yes po its possible. Kakagrant lang ng visa ko and I was hired by a company in Australia while I am offshore. Ung iba is through online. Ung iba naman is need na in person ung interview, pero you can always request for online interview naman.
There's no harm in trying naman.

Hi @danj , took me a while to find a new job after we moved here. My husband was transferred by his company from Singapore to their unit here in Australia so hindi ako mashado pressured magwork agad. Pero nung nabored na ko and decided to start working I was surprised na walang nagrereply man lang. I think they prefer someone with local experience. And they also rely heavily on networking. So mga referrals ng employees or contractuals muna. For medical professionals, I do't thik magiging choosy pa sila at this point but for other professions it might take a while.

You can start applying online since you have working rights na. I would suggest removing the location of your previous companies. I read somewhere na dahil sa automated filtering ng recruitment system, they would often filter out those whose experiences are offshore. Not sure kung totto but I did it anyway. Removed the location or any mention of Philippines or Singapore from my Linkedin profile and CVs. I think it worked! Got a few calls after that. :)

Goodluck! Which state are you moving to?

To add, according to their website, it has something to do with the limit, or scanning na ginagawa ng system nila which the banks in AU sometimes block, leading to payment declined.

Pwede ka tumawag sa Medicare to ask for your Medicare number. Tapos download the app and may tab with your virtual card. Pwedeng yan muna gamitin mo until dumating card mo. In my experience, never naman ako hinanapan ng card.

Hello! Question lang re cash that you brought with you to Aus. I’ve got USD as of now, is it advisable to exchange it to AUD here in Manila or exchange it to AUD when I get there in Australia? If in Australia san pwede magpalit na okay ang rate? Thank you po!

Hard to say. Not sure if okay yung rate or better if sa manila. I was hoping kasi mag open ng USD account dito sa AU. Pero dun, I can say lugi ka. Lahat ng galaw mo, deposit/withdrawal, may fee. I ended up converting all my USD to AUD na lang. Ok naman AUD, stable naman. Sa bank ako nagpa palit nun. I think mas okay magpa palit sa mga independent money changers. Good luck

Kung ano ang okay na rate.
Just exchange to the Ermita Mania forex shops to AUD. Remember, may reservation, kaya dapat tumawag ka bago magpaexchange.

Then declare it to the customs here in Manila, fill-up the form
bago ka lalapag sa AU if more than
    10k audollars.
    Nandito yung form.

Mahirap tumawag sa Medicare. Ang tagal ng waiting times. Nagsend ako ng follow-up email
Hopefully dumating na. Dagdag na identifdication number rin. Although nagamit ko na yung TFN sa
pagkuhan ng National Identity Card dito.
