@bookworm VIC nalang kasi open sa occupation ni hubby and basing from the forum, mahigpit sila sa SS. kaya we opted to go to ACT. Kaso ayan, nagulat kami at nagclosed naman na both saken at kay hubby. We'll just wait for July nalang siguro. By that time, I hope many states will open doors for us.

Well, ganun ang pagkakaintindi ko pero I am praying pa din na tama nga ung gut feel ko, i mean kung no chance naman they should have inform me agad. Nakalagay naman sa email nila na I was given 30 days to submit the necessary documents for SS.

Ibig sabihin, puwede kayo mag apply ng visa 189. Or kailangan nyo ba ng state sponsorship para sa points?

@bookworm 45 points (25 - age, 10 - school, 10 - exp). so there's no other way but to take ielts and ss or ielts and partner points if we're going for visa 189.

guys papunta kame ng wife ko sa canberra sa March 19. ask ko lang po dun sa mga nasa Canberra na kung ok lang ba magdala ng mga portable harddisk with downloaded movies at series? ganun po ba sila kastrict? at anu po ang weather ngayon sa Canberra? Para makapagdala kame ng jackets if malamig na po. thanks!

Okay lang naman magdala ng portable hard disk pero ang hindi ko alam kung pinapayagan ang downloaded movies. Its up to you na lang, ramdom naman ang checking sa Airport pero ready ka rin dapat kung na tyempuhan ka sorry na lang may penalty fees na ipapabayaran sa iyo dipende sa dami ng dowload mo. I'm watching full movies in youtube madami dun English movies i type mo lang ang title movie at dadagan ng words ng "full movie" sa search. Kapag nakita mo ang result sa time na may mahigit isang oras malamang yun full movie yun.

Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa – Closure of ACT nomination program to overseas applicants for 2013/14

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is pleased to announce that program targets for ACT nomination of a Skilled- Nominated (subclass 190) visa have been met for the 2013/14 financial year.

Effective Tuesday 25 March 2014, applications for ACT nomination from overseas residents will not be accepted. If you are living overseas, you will not be able to apply for ACT nomination of a Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa until the program reopens on 1 July 2014.

If you are living in Canberra and working in a skilled occupation, you are still able to apply for ACT nomination of the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa providing you meet the current nomination criteria.

Lam ko nagclosed yun since last year pa eh. Fear lang namen baka biglang mga one month o less lang sya mag open. Eh magpapaassess pa lang sya

Pa-assess muna cya. When she has the skills assessment, tsaka na ulit cya mag check ng mga state sponsorship status.

@bookworm umm what i mean is before pa po kc mag totally close yung act state sponsorship eh kasama na ÿung occupation nya sa closed na occupation nung mga last year yun. Diko lang matandaan anong month yun hehe pero usually po ba ilang months naoopen yung mga occupations sa act state sponsorship list?

@bookworm umm hindi po hehe lam ko po andun pa talaga sya sa list sometime last year nagclosed po yung retail buyer na occupation sa act csol list along with other occupations. I want to know po sana kung meron dito nakakaalam when yun nagclose hehe like baka yung iba dito eh kasama din na na closed yung status ng nominated occupation nila. Im asking this lng po kc worry ng ate ko na bka by the time na may skills assessment na sya at ielts(most likely august cgro or sep) eh bka closed nanaman yung status nung occupation nya sa act state sponsorship list hehe

@kremitz, gamble talga yan. Kaya nga ang maganda, meron ka na nyang mga yan para pag nakita nyong merong state, makapag file na kayo agad. Ako, I filed vetassess 2 years ago. Walang state na nag sponsor, kahit pasado points ko. So I had to wait and constantly check if there was a state that would sponsor my skill, until recently, ayun nga yung ACT sponsorship.

@kremitz, technical writer (212415). Skills assessment almost expired so I had vetassess reissue a statement. Wasn't expensive. IELTS, I only took that last year so it was still valid.
