    @welfred0518 i would not advise you to take jobs more than 20 hrs a week. It's too risky. Just be patient until you finish your studies. But if you are married or have partner, you can bring her with u as student dependent. She can also work 20hrs a week which is good for additional income.

    Good day!

    Medyo malayo sa topic pasensya na po.

    I'm a B.S. Civil Engineering graduate sa Philippines pero ang field ko is structural engineering. I have 7 years work experience (Phi & abroad). Napansin ko medyo matagal, mahirap at magastos ang pag-process ng visa pag Skilled Migrant. Usually pag engineers ang hinahanap sa mga pinoy skilled migrants is "local experience". Tingin ko by "local experience" they mean knowledge about Australian Design Codes (one of the requirements).

    Naisip ko, mag-aral muna sa Au ng Diploma Course like Advanced Structural Engineering then habang nag-aaral try maghanap ng employers na mag-sponsor ng work visa. Tingin ko mas madaling makahanap ng employers na mag-sponsor o ng work na related sa experience ko kasi magkakaruon na ako ng in-depth knowledge sa Australian Code.

    Tanong lang po. May nakagawa na ba nito (either ibang profession or kapareho ko ng work experience?).

    07/25/13 CDR sent to EA
    12/03/13 Positive EA Assessment
    01/28/14 Submitted EOI (VISA Subclass 189, 70 Points)
    02/10/14 Received invitation from SkillSelect

    marami nmn gumawa ng ganyan.. like ung mga nurses.. kasi kailangan din nila mag-aral... at hindi nmn impossible mangyari yan...

    but i would just like to comment on your statement "matagal, mahirap at magastos ang pag-process ng visa pag Skilled Migrant"

    Matagal - ang medyo matagal lang ang pag-ayos ng documents, but if you have everything ready, Skills Assessment (2mos), Visa Application (average 2 months, but meron dito sa forum na-approved within 1 month)

    Mahirap - it depends on your situation.. reading your post, mukhang straightforward lang nmn ang application mo.. i mean walang complications masyado

    Magastos - Cost ang pinakamalaking consideration talga.. compare mo ang cost ng schooling mo (tuition, allowance, rent) versus skilled migrant application fee (approx 3000aud + other expenses 1000aud)... pero kung may relative ka na susuport syo dun.. baka nga mas okay ang schooling...but also, mag-apply ka ng migrant visa, tapos saka pagdating dun mag-aral ka (mas mura ang tuition ng mga PR)..

    just my 2 cents..

    July 28, 2013 - Final move to Perth
    Sep 9, 2013 - Started work with the same company i worked for in UAE/USA
    Oct 28, 2013 - Moved to another company.. ;)

    hello po sa lahat. Gusto po lang po sana humingi ng tulong if ano ano po ang mga step para sa pag aaply ng student visa sa australia..interesado po kasi ako kaso hindi ko po alam kung saan ako mg sisimula at kung ano ang mga needs para maqualified to study in australia. tsaka mga magkano po ba ang need na money if ever mag apply ka ng study to australia?.., at saka may list po ba n kung saan pwede ko makita yung mga indemand na course ngaun doon para po if ever makagraduate ako eh mkahanap ako agad ng work?.. pasenxa na po if madami ako tanong,..wala lng po kasi ako masyado ideya if pano ako mg aaply ng student visa s australia. sana po matulungan nyo ko..maraming slamat.
