Good day, I have a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Tech. Major in Comp. Tech. Took Education Units so that i'll be able to teach. I am currently a Public School Teacher in the Philippines and I've been working for almost 8 years now. I teach ICT subjects specifically "Basic Computer Operations", "Computer Networking", "Computer Systems Servicing" etc. I am quite curious about the assessment. Can I undergo ACS skills assessment or AITSL (teacher assessor) assessment? I would prefer the ACS since I don't have plans on continuing to be a teacher in Australia. I'll push working in the ICT industry. Thanks for the nuggets of information.

The skills assessment only matters on the visa application stage. Once your visa is granted it's essentially useless, because you are free to work on whichever field you want dito sa Oz, hindi ka limitado sa kung saan ka lang may skill assessment. The thing you should look into is saang occupation ka magkakaroon ng positive skill assessment that will give you more visa options.

If I were you, I would do to the AITSL assessment. Mukhang sa ACS they're more on the application of the field of study. Mas malaki pa nga po yata chance mainvite if Educator ka.

I did a quick check sa AITSL. Sa ACS naman AFAIK need ng 2 yrs work exp for a positive assessment.

For ACS, itong ANZSCO 223211 (ICT Trainer) baka po suited yung job description sayo. Eligible for 190/491 visa din per immi.

2 years akong Computer Technician pero need kasi nila dati sa DepEd ng ICT teacher so I decided to take the TCP. Ayon, naging teacher for 8 years... Sayang din pa pala ung pagiging Technician ko, tinuloy tuloy ko sana.. Pero nappractice ko din lagi sa school kasi ICT Coordinator/Focal person din ako. Tinatawagan ako sa mga schools to setup their computer labs and network infrastructure...
