Legal Age in Australia to Leave Children at Home Alone

Just thought of sharing this to help families who are migrating to Australia. A very important consideration if both parents will be working, especially for those with younger kids and even those who have teenagers but still under the age of 18 years old, who may be left in-charge of the other siblings.

This may subject parents to stiff fines and/or charged in court or worse, the kid/s take away to a "safe place". :-SS

@JCsantos - accdg to the article po, in Queensland below 12 is not allowed to be left home alone.

Sa info din po on the different states, its not so direct po but it mentioned about "When the time is right...and says leaving a 13 year old, depending on the maturity of your children will make a difference". From this, they may actually be consider children below 12 as young children and not sensible to be left home alone.
