Hi Sir @davidx23, same po pala tayo ng type of job. IT auditor din po ako dito sa Manila in a multinational company. In demand po ba yung work natin dyan? Do employers look for certifications such as CISA, CISSP or even ITIL?

I'm also in the field of business process analysis. Madaming openings sa seek.com but I'm not sure if malaki din ang competition. Once kasi maapprove na visa namin, I'll start sending out applications na. Actually nagsesend na ko kaya lang madalas na reply is to contact them pag nandun na kami sa AU.

I'm not sure kung may limit kung ilang kids. May nakita ko sa news ginagawang scam yan ng mga ibang locals. nagproduce sila ng 5 fake (identity) na kids tapos kumuha sila ng support sa centrelink. May ibang scammers more than 5 pa yung claim nila. May iba nakakalusot may iba nahuhuli.

May iba pang benefits aside dun sa kid allowance, meron din housing assistance ang gov't. kung nasa minimum wage yung family may parang pag-ibig style na pabahay where you can rent at discounted prices.

Kung wla kang work may allowance ka sa centrelink (subject to certain conditions). You can buy computers (core2duo types) and other appliances sa mga auction sites for less than $200 or buy it from ebay or gumtree ganun din. Buy your meat/fish/veggie/fruits sa farmers market is so much cheaper compare sa woolies and coles, effort nga lang, kasi dadayuhin mu pa yung mga lugar, tapos commute ka pa. So plenty of ways to save money.

btw, IT auditor ako and internal auditor si misis.

How about bank accounts po? Required po bang magbukas ng account sa mga tulad ng ANZ, Wespac or Commonwealth or puwede na bang imaintain ko na lang yung accounts sa Pinas tulad ng BPI, BDO?

kailangan nyo magkaroon ng local bank account dito.

Usually hinahanap nila big4 experience (pwc, ey, etc) and added points na lng yung certs pero mangunguna ka sa list kapag meron kang big4+certs. Medyo fierce ang competition sa sydney pero dito sa brissy konti lang competition kasi maliit lng ung city/konti opportunities.

Usually they want to meet you in person for any job application, why don't you try big4, phone interview lang pwde na. Yun nga lang, be prepared sa low wage+stress pag nakuha ka.

^ I think so. Malakas ang demand ng IT jobs sa Sydney, Melb, Brisbane not sure kung anung area (sec/dev/ops). Try seek.com.au ito yung sikat na job searching site dito sa aus.

@Davidx23 thanks! actually matagal na ko may account din sa seek.com.au. kaso limot ko na username at password ko sa sobrang tagal na. hehehe. hindi kasi ko pinapansin dun dati. actually pinapansin pala resume ko.. pero ang sagot e they prefer nga daw nandun na.

Well, depende yan sa goals mu. Kung priority mu is career, sweldo and entertainment go for sydney and melbourne. If you want balance, relax, a bit laid back environment go for qld (brissy, gold coast or cairns which is a tourist spot kasi maraming beach resort). Kung sweldo naman and maximum savings go for those mining towns in Western Australia or Rockhampton and Mount Isa in QLD, medyo patay nga lang ang entertainment.

If I have a family of 5 here in brisbane, I think I should be receiving 150K per annum my wife should be receiving more than 100K per annum with a $600/week rent. Pero I think this is a bit exaggerated bec. I'm factoring yung bisyo ko sa IT equipment/gadgets and shopping ni misis. Besides if you have 3 kids, you are entitled to $$$ grant from the gov't. Parang may additional allowance ka to support your family.

Ako lang with my wife, almost 4 yrs na dito sa brissy. Ok naman dito, a bit boring pero it's perfect escape from the stressful life in manila.

Hi @Davidx23 , ask ko lang po if ano usual requirements hiningi sa wife mo as internal auditor? i'm also an internal auditor dito sa pinas and still waiting sa visa na magrant hopefully early march since nag undergo na kami ng medical. And baka may idea kayo kung gaano kahirap makakuha ng job as auditor sa brisbane....medyo nakakakaba lang kasi maghanap ng trabaho outside pinas especially hindi naman i-acknowledge PRC license ko dito. thanks po!

hi my family and I has just been granted a WA regional sponsorship visa. I'm an accountant for a multi national company. Mahirap ba mag hanap ng work mga accountants? Lam nyo ho ba anu ok and safe na area sa WA, may 1 year old baby kc kami. We are looking at bunburry or mandurah pero not sure ano ang opportunity for accountants? Tapos do they really look for local experience? panu kaya for new migrants? Since 475 visa pala kami ,mahirap ba mag apply ng PR visa after 2 years? kialangan ba i sponsor ka ng employer or is it enough na 2 years residence ka and 1 year experience?

The fact that you were given visa means accredited to some extent yung work experience niyo sa Pinas kaya puwede kayo magpasa sa seek.com.au ng job application...huwag kayo mag-alala, maraming opportunities ang accountants sa Australia hehe. Kailangan niyo lang kumuha ng accreditation pag andun na kayo pero kadalasan provided siya ng employer.

Dun sa PR...alam ko puwedeng isponsor ng employer yan...but if I were you, I'd take things one step at a time. Aabot rin kayo sa puntong yun sa tamang panahon

@K_mavs-by the way girl ako hehehe. Na visa grant kami Dec 2011. Actually nakuha namin request for police clearance and medical november 2011, nov 28 kami i think na medical and since on line submission na ang medical ,mabilis lang, 2 weeks after nakuha na namin ang notification ng visa grant na good for 3 years.

may alam po ba kayo na 2 weeks house rental sa bunburry o mandurah na di pricey pero safe and near lng business area. we are planning to have our first entry on Sept 2012 but will return pa and kung decided na talaga ,we are planning to leave for good 2nd quarter of 2013.

@raycel Whoops Sorry mo ma'am. Congrats nga po pala ulit sa Visa nyo.Maglodge pa lang po ako ng visa this March on a 475 visa. Mandurah din po yung balak namin pag natuloy kami sa WA ito na kasi yung regional area na pinakamalapit sa Perth.

If you're ok na may room mate, sure why not. Yung 2 kong barkada nagrent sila ng 2 bedroom unit sa may chatswood area for 600/week. after 6 mos. nagkanya-kanya na sila. Nakahanap yung friend ko 1km from cbd 1 bedroom 400-450/week (kalimutan ko na kung saang area). Tingin tingin ka lng sa sydney.gumtree.com.au marami kang makikita dun na for rent.
