Yeah right, if u have enough time mas mabuti pang kuha na lg drivers license sa Pinas. Pra after 3 months converted na into AU license as long that u have pass the theory test and PDA.

Great 10 days! Done with the basic and urgent TFN, Medicare, etc.
Libot, pasyal, muna sa Melby and CBD
Lucky si huby nagkawork na after 5 Days (via friend's referral) kaya kahit isa lang nagwowork ok kami, plus mababait ung nag guguide samin dito sa Melby, ung umampon muna samen (coteacher ko dati, 4 years na sila dito)
Ako aral muna related to my course - funded sya ng VIC government...
so far so good...

1. TFN - online, ginawa namin the night na dumating kami (til now wala pa heheheheh)
2. Bank Account - we opened while stil in the Philippines... needs validation though, upon
arrival; Debit Card received after 5 days :-)
3. Medicare - mabilis lang din application (card will be delivered 2-3 weeks)

First Home Saver Accounts provide a simple, tax effective way for Australians to save for their first home through a combination of Government contributions and low taxes.
FHSAs offer several benefits to first home savers including:
a variable interest rate;
a tax rate of 15% (cf the individual's marginal tax rate), that is paid by the FHSA provider;
17% government contribution, up to a specified limit.
Tax-free withdrawal.
Flexibility in determining how much is contributed, up to a maximum account balance cap over the life of the FHSA.

28-05-12: Lodged RSMS 857 visa (seperate from my dad already)
28-06-12: Done Medical check

07-11-12: Went home on a bridging visa B for holiday and wedding..:)
12-01-13: CO allocated and nomination approved
18-01-13: CO asked documents of my husband to be included on my application as migrating dependent..Thank u LORD!
15-02-13: Husband completed all requirements (police check, medical, english requirements and joint statement)
15-02-13: CO issued pre-grant letter instructing hubby to apply tourist visa to enter Australia in order our 857 visa to be granted.
27-02-13: Hubby applied Subclass 676 tourist visa.
06-03-13: Hubby's tourist visa approved.
16-03-13: Hubby arrived Australia.
18-03-13: Our RSMS 857 visa granted.. (nothing to ask more)

"Under the FHSA, the government contributes 17% on the first $5,500 of individual contributions made each year. Account holders are required to keep savings in the FHSA for four financial years before they can use the funds to buy a home.
The government amended the scheme last May to allow savings in an account to be paid into an approved mortgage at the end of the minimum four-year qualifying period, if the saver bought a home earlier, rather than require that the money be paid into a superannuation account.
However, should a saver decide not to buy a home (for example they may decide to head overseas), the money must still be transferred into the saver's super fund and can only be accessed when they retire."
So kung 2014 nyo na balak, hindi nyo magagamit pandown pero magagamit nyo pambayad ng mortgage after 4 years. Halos lahat ng bank sa Au may FHSA.

Anyway, ok namn kmi sa reward saver namin sa westpac, ok din ang interest and in case of emergency mawiwithdraw mo anytym.
Ang first home saver account pala, on my opinion lg ay pra lg sa may maraming extra savings sa salary nila. Ok ang benefit nya, pro sa katulad namin na hindi gaanu kalakihan ang sahod parang hindi convenient samin.
