@dreamprayhard84 hello.. ask ko lang, pati ba ikaw pina-undergo ng further tests after malaman na may ptb history si hubby mo? Isip ko kasi what if ang isa sa parents ang nagkaron ng tb noon, pero clear na ngayon, kung pati ba ako as applicant ipa-undergo ng ibang tests kung clear naman din yng lungs..

Ako may ptb rin. Nagdala ako ng old films pero d namn nila tiningnan. Pagdating ko dito pina xray ako ulit. Yon lng. No delay no hassle

@Gft_SG . I have one concern po, . I was actually diagnosed nag PTB INACTIVE last 2011 and applying for a job in australia ngayon. Tanong ko lang po is it really a factor na kinoconsider sa visa application kapag nagtake ng medications for 6months? Since 2011 this was already a scar according sa pulmonologist ko.and even yung sputum test ko po puro negative results. Is it critical to take medication?hope sana po makatulong po kayo.thanks

@hopeful101 naku don't take my response as an "Expert" advise kasi hindi naman ako doktor, pero paliwanag ng doctor ko sa pilipinas dati, inactive PTB means may TB ka pa rin. Your body is able to suppress it kasi malakas ang immune system mo. The moment your immune system goes down, magiging active sya, unless you cure it. TB is a bacterial infection and hindi ko alam kung kaya ng immune system natin na patayin ang bacteria na yan. I decided to go for a ct scan after years of conflicting diagnoses from different pulmo (hassle na masyado yong taon taon may findings tapos i clear ulit and paulit ulit na every year).....And when I did the scan, may fibrosis nga. went on a medication.....after 6 mos, walang scar na naiwan. I had around 7 xrays after i did the medication and so far wala namang nakikitang scar. They wouldn't even know i have a history unless i brought it up.

Doon pala sa tanong mo kung kailangan mag medication.......probably yes (again hindi ako expert). if i were you, i would start the medication now. by the time mag memedical kana dito baka magaling kana. :-) all the best

@Gft_SG thanks a lot po. Actually I started my medication last 2 months. I'm in my 3rd month na po. Currently I have ongoing interviews with my different employers right now in Australia. Nag woworry ako kasi bka when time comes na the employer advised me to apply a visa e di sumabit ako sa medical dahil lang sa naggagamot pa ako. My question po is , is it better na saka nlng ako magpainterview sa mga employers ko after the medication? after 6 months? considering na they will not grant me a visa kapag nag gagamot pa ako. salamat po sa advise atleast I have some idea.

@hopeful101 ang alam ko 3 mos magaling na ang ptb. Again hindi ako expert. Ang remaining 3 mos of medication para yata yan sa immune systen natin....para hindi maging auto immune ang katawan natin sa anti biotics. Naku hwag ka pastress.mabagal sila dito so baka by the time mag memedical kana eh tapos na ang 6 mos mo

@Gft_SG pero just to have atleast an idea din po, when time comes na i have to take medical to apply for work visa while under medication, do I have to declare na I'm taking those drugs (for TB)?kasi ang alam ko po one of the questions yun sa form na kelangan i fill out. Do you think that would be a deciding factor to grant a visa? Yung mga employers jan sa Australia, very srict ba kapag may old scar TB cases? thanks po

@hopeful101 ito na lang siguro, gawin mo mag pa xray ka sa clinic kung saan mo balak magpamedical kung mag aapply kana ng visa dito. sabihin mo lang na annual xray lang ang plano mo tapos tingnan mo kung clear ang result. Kasi pag clear na yon, your xray is still valid for 12 mos (well...maybe but back in singapore yes it is 12 mos). try st lukes..maybe???

@Rafing wala.. it was a prescription drug from my pulmo. hwag kayo kabahan kung may history kayo ng PTB. as long as you can make sure na magaling kayo, you can go here. Kung may scar, it is not the end of the world. Pa diagnose nyo lang. kung may TB gamutin. pag magaling na kayo kahit may scar pa yan, your doctor will clear you of the disease. ma dedelay lang approval nyo pero you can still go here.
