How to continue prescribed medicines here in down under

Good day po mga kababayan! Itatanong ko lng po sana kung paano ba ang proseso dito sa down under about sa pagshift to local meds for a pre-existing health conditions like hypertension. My mga "maintenance meds" po kasi ako and since ngmigrate na kami dito, i'm not sure panu ko ba itutuloy ito? Pupunta lng ba ako sa GP tapos si GP na ang bahala mgrefer sa kin sa isang specialist?

Same here i have prescribed medicines ask ko lang @viperregs how long does it take before na grant kayo ng visa at anong process ang pinag daanan nyo, hypertensive din po kasi ako. Meron din po akong past history ng PTB pero that was a long time ago i think since i was 27y/o pa single pa po ako noon 1997 pa po yun. I wonder how i will present my old pulmo plates and yung mga results na matagal na yung illlness na yun. Nag undergone napo ako noon ng medication. Salamat po in advance sa input

aha! ako din hypertensive kasama ng diabetes. Humingi lng ako ng medical certificate from my cardio/internist na lahat ng organs ko currently e maayos pa (I'm 31 y/o po now)..binigay ko un letter na un sa clinic kung san kami ngpamedical..lumabas naman un Visa namin during the usual waiting time i.e., 3-4 weeks after submission ng medical results.

Punta kayo sa GP para sila ang magbibigay sa inyo ng reseta o kaya sila gagawa ng referral letter sa public hospital. Mas mabuting maghanap ng bulk billing na GP para libre or less fees sa susunod na checkup.

Kapag pumunta ka ng private GP. Ang regular fee is $80 to$85. 50% ang babayaran ng govt while yung kalahati ikaw ang magbabayad. Pero kung na tyempuhan mo na may bulk billing Doctor na malapit sa inyo. Mas okay laking tipid yun. Use google search to find bulk billing Doctors.

Dalhin mo yung reseta mo sa local gp, then tell your gp about your condition and your medication in ph, he will give you some test just to confirm what you are saying and then they will give you the meds you want, if you require a specialist they will refer you one based on your situatio

One time I saw my husband place it in a trash container buti nkita ko nakikialam ang...pinagalitan ko. Bkit kasi pinakialaman ang Hindi kanyang gamit. In-explain ko nman kung bakit ako nainis.

I dont think they would use your old outdated xray, normally they would ask you an updated one

@JCsantos, i think a certification from my pulmonologist would do that my illness was old and healed. Just what vipperegs have done. Those old x-rays are just for reference.

depende rin siguro kung gaano ka lenient yung GP. in my case, sinabi ko lang yung case ko plus pinakita yung empty box of medicines i'm taking. ayun, ni prescribed ako ng equivalent meds good for 6 months. ang disadvantage lang, ang mahal ng meds. hindi yata uso dito ang generic brand. hehe.

i think pde ka mgdala ng meds supply mo na good for 3 months like what i did ..make sure lng na myron kang reseta from your doctor

make suer may prescription namay contact detaisl ng doctorna nag prescribe and don't forget to delcare.

Not unless may illegal substance yung prescription mo. better dito kana lang bumili.

subsidize naman ng government kung magexceed sa threshold (ano threshold - do ko matandaan parang over $32).

Kung may equivalent generic - you can go for generic medicines (your decision).
