If you have internet connection, a pen and paper and a phone with voice recorder, that should get you through. Lahat ng ituturo sa iyo sa review center I would say available sa internet. Dito sa pinoyau try mo rin to back read if you have time. Marami nang nag share ng review materials, tips, tricks and what-have-you :) good luck po.

@BeBBang hello. i had an experience on both testing centre and parehas lang naman sila, but i would say i am much comfortable with BC honestly because of the speaking examiners they seem to be friendly and nice. at saka yung experience kong nag-exam last Oct 12 where isang parang auditorium na mahigit sa 100 nag exam sabay sabay parang ang saya nun daming tao.

@sonsi_03 salamat sa input. parang mas madami kasi nag-t-take sa IDP, akala ko mas 'madali' dun and mas mabilis din mapuno ang slots nila compared sa BC. :D

@BeBBang depende po sa tao pero the procedures are just the same. siguro dahil 3x ako sa BC and 1 time sa IDP kaya mas nasanay ako sa BC. Just my opinion. :D

@sonsi_03 alam ko na, since 2 naman kaming mag-take, yung 1 sa BC, yung 1 sa IDP. and you're right, same procedure lang naman, same set of tests kaya up to me nalang kung papasa ako o hindi :D buti ka pa close to finishing na, kami start palang. :)

hello, to those who have taken the General training Test:

    1. Is the question paper sa Reading Exam printed in back-to-back or walang print yung likod ng page? (i find it hard to manage question paper in back-to-back)

    2. Is it possible to have Yes, No, Not Given question type in GT or sa Acad Training lang?

    Thanks a lot!

I assume you also hate the yes, no, not given or true, false, not given type of question in the exam. Ako rin hate ko siya. Lol unfortunately, when I took the general exam last November, natiyambahan ako sa dami. Lol so maybe we should start learning how to love it. Lol

@gotstamped thanks. aw back-to-back pala. so mostly yung passage sa harap tpos questions sa likod nung passage, vv. mejo hassle kasi pag titingin sa likod then harap then likod kaysa kung nasa next page yun questions.hehehe. At may Yes, No, NG din pala! Thanks thanks congratz ang taas naman ng scores mo sa IELTS! :)

@filipinacpa. Exactly! I really hate those type of questions haha. I'd like to have more Short-answer and Gap Fills hehe. Kaya pala, sayang yung reading mo. yup mahalin at tanggapin na natin ang question type na yan. Btw, ang galng naman nung exclusive exam ng Niner. Kung totoo man, jan nalang ako mag-take ng exam. hehehe

@the_adventurer, sa pagkaalala ko di naman madalas mag turn ng page between the text and the questions. parang booklet kasi siya. yung reading passage nasa left side tapos ang questions nasa right side, most of the time.

sa pag practice - use cambridge ielts 5-9. ito yun suggestion dun sa free workshop na napuntahan ko.
sa writing at speaking, nakatulong sa akin yun sample essays sa ieltsbuddy.com.
sa speaking, pasang awa lang ako hehe. it's easier said than done, but just try to relax. there were a few times where i paused for a few seconds because i was trying to find the right word or phrase to say. nakakababa yata ng score ito in terms of fluency.

    goodluck!

By the way guys, I attended the mock exam of niner last Saturday and I met some people there and heard about the exclusive exam of niner given in the provincial areas. They told me examiners are more considerate in giving points there. How true is it??? Any thoughts??
Sis @filipinacpa, aren't the official exams administered only by either BC or IDP? I think baka parang marketing ploy lang nila yung to promote Niner via word of mouth. Or who knows, really.. :)

@gotstamped. really appreciate your inputs! i see. ok naman pala. so parang lumiit ng konti yung font para magkasya sa page.

nice. na-try ko din yung cambridge 5-9 and yung ieltsbuddy.com looks good

really.haha. ako rin nga kinakabahan sa speaking, hopefully i could talk more than 1 minute sa part 2! haha. Yup I think so too, kelangan ata fluent talaga. Kumakapit na lang ako sa Pronunciation which is one criteria sa speaking. Sana i-9 na nila para mahatak yung ibang criteria like cohesion and grammar hehe. I'm not sure though if a good accent/intonation could help raise your score.

thanks again! helpful advice indeed! :)

Yes IELTS Exams are only administered by either BC or IDP. Niner arranges an exclusive exam only for their students to be administered by BC in provincial areas. :)
