    We have similar case. My partner and I are working as Accountants here in Malaysia for a year now and we are planning to migrate to Australia using visa 189. Initially we are thinking to apply individually using are own credentials but reading the thread, we are now leaning towards using the de-facto partnership. Can you please let me know how this work? Will the primary applicant apply for visa 189 and the de-facto spouse apply visa 100?

    you decide which of you will be the primary applicant, the other will be secondary..
    the primary will be the basis for claiming points..

    @bernaabad - Hi! I came here on a PR 189 Visa and included my same sex partner as my de facto secondary applicant. I don't think there is discrimination related to job opportunities in Sydney at least because of your de facto status. If anything, the disadvantage would be on what type of visa you have and actual local experience.

    I just got invited to lodge visa 189 today. Nilagay ko de facto and same as you guys, same sex. I'm just wondering, I will be the one to leave first to look for work, yun partner ko will be left here sa pinas and as soon as I'll be able to find a job and maipon yun fees she will be needing, sunod na sya. Same visa fee ba ang primary and partner? We did not claim any points sa kanya, lodged with 60 points ako and was invited naman agad. Yun processing ng visa, may requirements din ba na kukunin from her end kahit hindi pa sya kasama sa visa application ngayon? Medyo overwhelming pa yun elodgement nun tignan ko kaninang umaga, andami kelangan fill up :D

    @fyi_12 isama mo na sya sa visa application ngayon, dahil mas mahirap at matagal ang application ng additional dependent pag na approve kana..

    Basa basa lng dito sa forum.. Pwde mo sya isama sa application pero ska na lang sya sumunod pag nauna ka.. The good thing is meron na kayo visa together..

    Yes..

    Isama mo man or hndi ngaun, hihingian ka din naman ngaun ng mga documents at magpapamedical din naman sya..

    So mas magandang gawan na lng ng paraan na isama ngaun..

    ahhhh it will make more sense nga na isabay na..yun visa fee pala eh 50% lang ng primary unlike if apply for partner's visa later...doble na ang fee. anyway she will have to undergo medical and NBI din naman ngayon, good thing we will not claim points for her skills mas madali. salamat po sa pag sagot. guess kelangan iurong ang planned IED ko to allocate the funds for her visa.

    Help! nun nag log kase ako ng visa application first was ako lang..pero when I read sa mga iba't ibang forums esp dito, nag decide ako na isabay na sa application yun partner ko (e.g. mas madali and mura that way, in the long run). kaya lang may part dun na question kung may non-migrating dependents. nilagay ko wala kase I was just thinking about me. ang prob yun partner ko kase may 2 kids, not living with us nandun sa mga lola nila. Now may CO na kami I don't knw what to do kung pede pa ba sabihin ko sa CO I need to update an item sa application ko, or hindi na pede since may CO na? If ever hindi na pede palitan, pede ba yun maging grounds na hindi approve visa namin?

    hi, hope someone can help me with my scenario: i lodged my application as a single independent skilled 189. But when i filled in form 80 i listed my same sex defacto as non migrating dependent. My CO asked me to provide them with my defacto's police clearance and medical check. I'm confused why they asked for this eventhough we dont have plan of migrating together soon. Our plan was to get him with a partner's visa once i get fully settled there. My questions are:

    -will my partner be getting his visa too when i get a grant?
    -why is my CO asking this?
    -what if my defacto has a health issue that we do not know as of the moment, will it have a negative impact with my application?
    -should i just delete him and just submit form 1022 to take him out of my application for easy evaluation of my application?

    @LittleFinger, just my general thoughts on this... I believe your CO is evaluating ahead your partner circumstances, in case in the future you will petition for him as a de facto dependent... although, at this point he is not yet included in your visa application, whatever your partner circumstances are, I believe, should not impact the outcome of your own visa application...

    but if I were in your case, I would respectfully ask your CO those above questions you've just mentioned, so as to accurately respond to his requirements kamo... :)

    Just to update..approved na visa namin. Some notes that might help yun same situation smen. medyo mahaba, pero I hope makatulong sa kahit isa lang hehehe

    1. Initially, mag isa lang ako sa application then plan namin sunod sya pag nakahanap ako work, buti nabasa ko and inadvice din dito sa PinoyAU na mas mahal and matagal pag partners visa kaya nag update ako application sinama ko na sya kaya medyo nagtagal un approval kase we needed to update all the docs na ndi ko pa na prepare earlier kase mag isa lang yun plan ko dati..medyo mas marami docs needed pag may kasama sa application, pero worth it naman, 1 month delayed lang hehehe
    2. Undergrad yun partner ko pero tinanggap naman ng CO yun diploma and cert of english as medium of instruction from both grade and high schools nya, sinama na din namin TOR and cert din from the University 3rd year sya nag stop nun college. No need for IELTS, nagbigay na lang kami cake dun sa high school nya kase medyo busy sa upcoming graduation that time kase yun office hehe para mapabilis.
    3. Wala kami joint account, sa bahay kami ng parents ko nakatira kaya medyo nag worry ako paano ma prove yun financial aspect. What I did eh sa bank statement ng account ko ni lagyan ko lahat ng notes san ginamit tapos nagsama ako ng mga receipts to prove. nagsama ako even ng resibo from our date, itinerary ng local travel, pati resibo ng shopping (clothes and grocery). Mas maganda na gamitin yun EPS (BPI kase ako) para naka reflect din yun account number sa resibo, tapos sa BPI online nandun naman yun last 60 days transactions so make sure na mag download ng copy kase last 60 days lang ang available (para ndi ka na kailangan mag request sa bank pa if ever need mo older than 60 days in time sa application).
    4. Statement from my mom na dito kami nakatira and ano yun mga share namin sa bahay (phone bill, dsl, how much sa food, and nagbigay kami amount in peso na binibigay ko twice a month) na naka reflect dun sa bank statement..withdrawal ng ganun amount twice a month. and statements from her mom and 1 of our friends for the social aspect, kasama pictures ng travels, dinners with friends, kahit date namin 2 lang.
    5. May anak yun partner ko, though ndi namin kasama sa house and sa application. They will require them to undergo medical din, pero since bata, physical exam lang ang ni require. They required initially passport para sa medical, eh wala passport yun bata kaya I asked if pede iba since ang available lang now is school ID and birth cert (nabasa ko kase sa slec site na pede birth cert), ayun binigyan kami HAP ID using birth cert, no need to apply for passport.

    6. sobrang helpful ng site na ito sa all steps na ginawa lalo na wala naman kami agent. mula sa pag decide ko mag try to Oz (dito ko una nakuha yun idea, I forgot though paano ko nalaman yun site na ito hehehe). ACS, IELTS, EOI, and Visa. Tuloy pa din sa pagtulong itong site for the next steps na medyo marami pa din hehehe.

    may question lang ako, dun ba sa mga receipts and bank statement nyo, current lang ba? or meron ding mga past. mahirap kasi irecover ung mga past receipts and statement. like yung sa amin since 2010 pa kmi and most of the receipts from that time are gone..

    nag agent pa ba kayo?

Naka-agency kami pero sa ngayon kakasubmit palang ng docs ko for skills assessment. Pinagpeprepare palang kami ng mga letters na may address to prove na isang bubong lang kami nakatira, bukod dun wala pang sinasabi sa amin.
