    guys... nakatanggap ako ng email sa victoria about yung victoria state sponsorship ko na during the transition period (up to Aug 31, 2012) pwedeng gamitin pa yung victoria state sponsorship for skillselect and that will earn you an automatic invitation to apply if ever
    nag email din saken ng ganito ang Victoria... pero ok na ang SS ko sa NSW... may visa nako...
    kelangan ko ba ipaalam sa kanila na hindi ko na kelangan sponsorship nila?
    para mabigay sa iba yung slot ko?
    anong sasabihin ko?

    @lock_code2004, yun ang mahirap sa SkillSelect. Pag nag expire ang isa mong document kelangan mo iupdate yun kaagad.

    That's not to say your prior Skillselect application will be void...andun lang siya sa database at kung sakaling pending siya at may mag-eexpire na dokumento, siguraduhin mo lang na ma-update mo siya kaagad bago magpadala ang SkillSelect ng EoI kasi yung EoI may expiry rin! Kakapraning noh hehe :)

    here is another information:

    State and territory sponsored visas

    State or territory governments will locate and select skilled workers that they want to nominate. State and territory governments may do their own assessment of people before they nominate them. If you are nominated by a state or territory and you have indicated that you meet the points test, you will then receive an invitation, subject to occupation ceilings.

    When you submit an EOI for one of these visas, you will be asked to select which state or territory you wish to live and work. You can select one state or territory, or any state or territory. You will also be asked to indicate if you are prepared to live and work in a non-metropolitan area.

    so in short, for EOI skilled visa you must have:

    -completed a skills assessment and/or a job ready program
    -taken an English-language test to prove you meet the English language requirement.

    @donaldsg", sa Vetassess kayo magpa assess, ang ANZCO code 224611 for Librarian...ayon dito sa link SOL schedule 1-2,pdf eto ang link...immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/sol-schedule1-2.pdf.

    05/12/14 - ACS assessment application received.
    07/02/14 - ACS skills assessment result suitable ANZCO code 262113 Systems Administrator as recommended by CO for hubby's job description rather than ANZCO 261311 Analyst Programmer the first ACS ANZCO result suitable released in 2011. I conclude ACS reclassifies ICT Occupations.
    - Work exp. 12yrs. less 6yrs deduction by ACS.
    - Educ. Qualification assessed as AQF Associate Degree major in computing for a 4yr. course BS. Computer Science in a section 2 school.

    @issa, yung point system sa requirements (IELTS, Education, Skills etc)...malamang yun pa rin...Ang mga in demand jobs ang maiiba siguro. Dun sa huling announcement kasi ng DIAC, mas bibigyan nila ng incentives yung Employer nominated visa, moving forward....

    thanks sa mga input, di talaga ako maka move on sa ielts :( pasensya na :( .May part kasi dun na atleast competent english which is kelangan atleast 6 in each components. For example sa subclass 176 ( current) kelangan all 7 on each components para makapag apply ng state sponsorship, so for this new (subclass 190), na sa pagkakaintindi ko ay ang kapalit nitong 176 ay ok lang na kahit 6 ? napalaking bagay talaga ng ielts pero nakaka walang gana at pag asa na dahil dyan. hays.

    ^hmm depende per state kase. May mga nominated occupation na pdeng 6 lang. Yung sa iba naman at least 7 tlga in all modules. Pde naman tlga 6 as long as eto ung nirrequire nung state and the occupation AND nammeet mo naman ung minimum points required ng DIAC.

    Tama dami pa naman ibang visa options for Oz. Like for my case di ko talaga kaya na makuha yung band 7 on all IELTS subtest and wala na rin akong budget para mag retake ng exam kaya i opt to take the 475 visa route. Hindi sya PR visa pero at least makakapunta ka na rin sa Oz with this visa. After 2 years lang nman e pwede ka na mag apply for a PR visa.

    Guys, do you think na mababago ang point system sa IELTS after july 1? Let's say - 20 points for overall band score of 8 instead of 8 in each components or a certain point will be given to 6 IELTS band score.

    Yung point system puwedeng mabago (puwedeng mas mataas ibigay na points sa IELTS, puwedeng bumaba) pero alam ko laging "All" score ang basis at hindi over-all. Kasi siyempre habol ng Immigration yung marunong gamitin ang English language sa lahat ng pamamaraan :)

    @issa, i know the feeling, pero wag mawalan ng pag asa. Try to review kung ilang points na kayo right now. Ganon ginawa namin, pinag aralan namin kung ano next move, san pa pwede kumuha ng points, extract everything kumbaga, pwede partner points, state and regional sponsorships (WA for example doesn't require 7 in ielts as long as you reach 60 points before you apply),or you can take it again.

    Do you think na wala na hiring sa Pilipinas or abroad for Australia once skill select will be fully implemented? Skill select enables employers to hire and choose employees based on EOI. There will be no recruitment party involve as the employers will contact directly the employees. that is bad news sa mga recruitment agencies!

    Tingin ko po hindi po mawawalan ng trabaho ang mga agencies kasi kasama sa serbisyo nila yung magbigay ng professional immigration advice at may mangangailangan nun lagi kahit sabihin pa nating maraming information makukuha sa internet hehe...

    Saka sigurado mas pipiliin pa rin ng ibang employers dumaan sa agencies kasi at least hindi matrabaho sa kanila

    SKILLSELECT FAQs: Do I have to use SkillSelect to sponsor a skilled worker?

    No. Employers who identify people through their own selection processes will still be able to sponsor them without the skilled worker submitting an EOI in SkillSelect.

    I guess the good thing about SkillSelect is that employers and employees have another way to "meet" hehe...Pero dahil extra step ang SS, mas gugustuhin ng employers pa rin yung direct hire tingin ko :)

    Mukhang tumaas ang allocation despite of skillselect, so I guess hindi naman dahil gustong maghigpit ng AU sa number ng immigrants ang pagintroduce sa skillselect, but rather para magkaron lang sila ng "quality control" siguro sa mga pumapasok sa AU...

    @arlene5781 - yes visa 175 will be affected. kahit complete na yung mga document para sa lodging ng visa di pa rin po pwede maglodge ng application until mapili sa "skill select". unlike today po, bsta complete na yung mga document pwede na maglodge.
