Forfeit dependent's granted visa OR Shell out more money for IED requirement?

Hi All. I need some input on what will you do if you were in my position.

Only my son kasi was granted the 175 visa under my application. Automatic na siya added kasi pinanganak siya after I lodged the visa. I didn't pay extra visa fee for him. Si hubby daw, I need to apply a separate spouse visa for him. My son and I have both 21-Feb-2015 as initial entry date.

Ang una ko naisip na option. Apply hubby a tourist visa (and crossing fingers), he'll be granted before Feb21. Kaso, this will triple expenses for us as compared na ako lang muna yun mag fly to Oz and look for work.

Hubby said, let's juts forfeit the granted visa for our son and just add him as another dependent on the spouse visa I'll file for him. Nag-compute nga kami, I saved 46k on my son's visa fee. Pero yun 3 kami sabay sabay punta dun plus rent and daily expenses, let' say a week, will cost me 100k+.

Family entry for IED then hubby+son will fly back to PH
==================================

Tourist Visa for hubby: Php6k++
5J Plane fare RT: 30k*2 = Php60k
Rent in Sydney AirBnB hostel (2nights) =Php15,000
Food, Transpo expense (3D2N) = Php50,000

VERSUS

FORFEIT Son's Visa and re-apply as additional member in Spouse Visa
=============================================

Spouse Visa new application
Spouse: 190,600
+son: 47,600 ---> This is actually my savings when my son was granted automatically under my Visa-175.

    tama ba pagkakaintindi ko , na approve ka at yung anak mo pero not the hubby?

    Kung ganun mag entry kayo ng anak mo without hubby .. then i apply mo sya ng another visa ....

    Just apply your hubby a visa whether tourist or spouse and keep your son's current visa.
    You can also apply tourist visa for your mom/mom-in-law kung pede sha just in case lang. Mabilis kase magrant pag parents.

    I just want to update this thread a good news I received about my dilemma in not being able to meet my son's IED.

    I got an official letter from my CO that they can still accommodate my son's next entry in the future kahit di namin ma-meet yun IED nya this February. Basta daw valid pa yun visa nya (which is until 2020), he can still fly to Oz. Truly if you lift all your worries to the Lord, gagawan nya ng paraan. (",)
