How To Get Your Money Back From A Migration Agent

Hello Everyone,

We have recently been approached by a number of Filipinos who have had a poor service experience with their migration agents (eg. through slowness, incompetence, misrepresentation and even dishonesty).

Each of those people have tried themselves to get their money back, but the migration agents have either refused or ignored their requests.

You should be aware that there are effective ways you can force a migration agent to refund your money through proper legal channels. And it doesn’t have to cost much money at all: our law firm, Winthrop Mason, can generally assist under a “no win, no pay” arrangement. This means you will only pay legal fees if we are able to recover your money (or at least some of it) – and if we don’t succeed, then our services are FREE*!

Under this arrangement, you will be able to easily afford a lawyer to represent you in your case against your migration agent. You should NOT feel afraid to take them on if you feel they have done you wrong. In fact, you should always assert your legal rights because this is the only way we can stop dodgy migration agents from hurting more Filipinos in the future.

So if you’ve had the same experience, or know anyone who has, please feel free to contact us. Note there are time limits in Australia for making a claim, so you will need to act quickly!

[*Excludes any outlays, or out-of-pocket expenses, that might be incurred.]

hi po, I just want to have an idea if it is possible po na magapply for bridging visa A separately, even hindi pa po kami nakapaglodge ng next visa namin? we're here po sa melbourne and our visa will soon be expired, ang problem po I need to wait first sa release ng result sa university to know what is our next visa, if i need to extend student visa or graduate visa. release po ng result is 13th of march and expired po ng visa namin is 15th of march na nagfall sa weekend. so may gap na dates na wala po kaming valid visa... would they allow me po kaya to have a bridging visa A for this case?
