@Supersaiyan malapit na yan bro. focus on the brighter side (kaya mo nang i-superior lahat). Next goal, sabay sabay na lahat ng modules. Nung last take ko nagbago na din ung headset pero ok naman sa recording during testing.

tama sabi nila, i-pang retake mo nalang kesa ipa-rescore. sayang time and momentum.
During testing nalang din sa headset, when in doubt, ipapalit mo na. Goodluck bro.

@lecia @ClmOptimist salamat po sa inyo, nabasa ko na di pala ako legitimate magpa rescore this time. In my case ksi na tick ko yung auto allocate scores sa DHA at NZ, so that leaves to 1 option kundi mag retake na lng ulit.

Hello po! Share ko lang po naging experience ko sa PTE. Nagstart po ako magreview January 18, 2019 ang target exam date ko po noon ay February 16. Every weekdays 2-3 hrs review after office hours then kapag weekends 5-6 hours(all sections). Every morning bago pumasok nakikinig/practice ako sa youtube for Repeat Sentence and ASQ. Nag avail po ako ng scored tests and did my first mock test on February 10 - L73 R63 S85 W73 so hindi po ako nagbook for Feb 16. Pero binook ko na ang Feb23 and super review. Took my 2nd mock test on Feb 22 - L90 R74 S85 W90 weakness ko talaga ang reading kasi magkakapareho lang meaning ng choices. Then came the exam date muntik pa ko malate kasi sobrang traffic. Yung headset ko hindi nagana nung una nilipat lang ng port nag okay na. I was troubled sa reading ko kasi di ko natapos 2 questions I ran out of time pero MCSA lang naman pero feeling ko talaga mababa ako dito. Confident ako sa Speaking kasi nakaka 85 naman ako sa mock tests however the results were L80 R74 S69 W90 so nagulat ako sa speaking I was blaming the headset/mic hehe. Anyways, I booked again for March 3 exam then nagreview review review and got L90 R90 S90 W90 (hindi ko po inexpect kasi worried pa din ako sa reading). I realized I paused too much on my RA during my first exam so nung 2nd I changed my pacing and minimized pauses. Mahirap ang DI ko puro maps kaya kung ano na lang sinabi ko basta fluent at tama ang grammar kasi content is not that important. Halos nakuha ko din ang RS at nakuha ko lahat ang WFD. Sa essay naman po I used template and for SWT I used compound complex sentence. Nagpractice po ako sa site na ito ptetutorials.com at pinanood ko mga videos ni Jay-E2 Language.

@von1xx structure lang po ako sa essay and sa MCMA may instance isa lng po pinipili ko lalo kpg natatagalan po ako sa pag eliminate, kapag sinwerte at napunta sa huling part ng Reading yung MCMA, pinipilit ko sagutan ng 2 hanggang mag times up. Sa FIB madalas dito kelangan mo makuha yung overall meaning ng passage and from there maeliminate mo yung options na mali, then apply yung collocations, mejo matinding practice po ginawa ko dito sa Reading bago ko makuha yung 79+.

This March 22 po ako mag te-take ulit dahil nag kulang ako ng 1 point sa READING nung exam ko last month.

Bro, na experience ko rin yan... hindi plantronics yung headphone dun sa testing center ko before... Para sa akin parang hindi ganon ka okay yung output ng mic after several recordings ko.. Ang ginawa, nag testing ako many times, iba-ibang mic positions... tapos pinakinggan ko ng mabuti yung output.... sobrang na tagalan talaga ako last month sa preparation for the speaking, to the point na nilapitan na talaga ako ng proctor...kasi sobrang tagal ko sa mic adjustment.

Tapos, I found out na para sa akin, ito yung pinaka okay na placement:

"place your mic at the level of your lower lip and two fingers away from your mouth"

Additionally, nag flash back sken yung ginawa kong new strategies nitong last exam and I think isa sa mga ito ang dahilan kung bket bumaba ng husto yung Speaking, OF at Pron.

1. Mic position: since new yung headset nila naging kampante ako na same mic position as plantronics headset yung ginawa ko
2. Naalala ko na-cut ako sa isang RL item ko sa sobrang kadaldalan ) (though tuloy tuloy ako magsalita dahil may template pero sa dami ng contents ayun)
3. Eto yung isa pa sa possibleng nagpababa ng husto sa OF ko (though not sure enough), hinihintay ko sa Repeat Sentence na lumabas yung first blue bar, which is dati hindi ko ginagawa and mataas yung OF ko non kapag speak agad once nag change ng recording yung status from playing (not so sure baka coincidence lang)

@HillSong papost po ng recent score nyo siguro including enabling skills para po may idea yung mga masters nten kung ano po dapat nyo iimprove. BTW, kelan po kayo nag exam and sang location po if ok lang po malaman.

hi @HillSong maybe sa intonation, speed ng pagsasalita and pauses? not too fast but not too slow. tapos minimize or eliminate stuttering kung meron man.

L:86, R:80, S:88, W:90

@anntotsky Nakita ko lang ung guidelines nila sa PTE scoring sa SA na website. Kasi na curious ako ano ung Proficient Plus - though 10 points pa din.

@HillSong sa pteplus ba yan na scoring? if yes, try mo kahit normal pace lang, pero tuloy tuloy.. nag trial and error ako neto para magets ko kung ano talaga yung OF nayan, since computer base nga, we can outsmart them by reading and speaking continuously. Yung para bang kahit di kana huminga para di maputol yung boses hehe mag trial and error ka hanggang ma-gauge mo na yung technique. Sa mga period and pauses naman, saglit lang ako nagsstop or sa case ko tuloy tuloy ko lang as long as andun yung intonation.
