Mayrun talaga na ganyan ang bilis magsalita halos di mo na marinig at di maintindihan... just ask him or her to make it louder and slower so you can understand just dont forget to say "please" he or she will understand you.

    AMEP eligibility

AMEP eligibility is complex. All clients enquiring on their AMEP eligibility should be referred to an AMEP service provider who can assess clients' eligibility.

Access to the AMEP is extended to some temporary visa holders as specified in the legislative instrument for 'English Courses for Holders of Certain Temporary Visas'.
See: 'English Courses for Holders of Certain Temporary Visas'
These include the following classes of temporary visas:

Sa work ko wala akong na feel na discrimination they are professional when it comes to work.

May cleaners twice a weeks pumupunta after office hour to clean the office at toilet.

buhayin ko lang thread na to, i find this interesting. :) i once worked in a company owned by australians here in the Phils. And the aussie bosses are the worst bosses i have worked with. but reading all the posts in this forum, i felt relieved to know that generally naman daw ausies are nice people. isolated case lang cguro experience namin ng mga officemates ko before with aussie bosses. :D

this was actually my first impression with my aussie bosses in my first few weeks at work. they were actually soft spoken and very nice. then the company had encountered financial challenges and find it difficult to keep the business going. so the bosses axed their employees one by one... as in sinabihan ka ngayon, last day mo na din ngayon. Our HR manager (who is a Filipino) nakiusap na huwag naman ganun, na give us atleast time to prepare. But his plea fell on deaf ears. Buti na lang hindi ako ang nauna, when i knew about this, nkpag prepare ako, i started looking for work. i thought then, they are so different with filipino bosses who are more considerate and compassionate. well...i hope nga and i would like to believe na isolated case lang to. :)

Yup most likely isolated case. Sudden ba or gradual. Fair should be atleast 1 month sana like tender notice when your resigning for a job hehe. Well unless youre a contractual then on the spot termination should be expected. Sa ibang company nga (though hindi sa aussie) force retirement or they given reasonable time to move. Paunti unti nman kasi yan business/ financial challenges unless meron major events tlaga like a major loss sa head office and needs to streamline the branches or ung products totally na obsolete/ sumasadsad sa market. Kakatakot din so pakiramdaman tlaga.

@loudandclear - i dont think this is unusual.. Ive seen this from my two previous companies in US and AU...

On the spot din ang termination, but the effective date is 30days after (to comply with notice period).. Hndi nmn ito dahil ugali nila yun, but that's a corporate practice.. May mga security issues na iniiwasan..

So i think that has nothing to do with being Australian..

but its on the spot termination and on the spot effectrive date din, parang they didn't follow labor code in the phils. madami na din nagsarang company sa phils during that time, pero na-plan ng mgt. ang gagawing termination sa employees kaya hindi biglaan.

anyway, yes, i would like to believe nga it's their individuality and not about their race. :)
