@rei_ya hi...you may check sa gumtree, yong mga nakilala ko na pinoy..minsan free lang nila nakuha yong iba sa mga kelangan mo...tomorrow may sunday service ako pinupuntahan sa South Ballajurah Community hall, 10 am, pulos pinoy don at medyo matatagal na sila kaya if you want have a chat with them/us..

@rei_ya, hello nasa Aus ka na pala.... buto may work agad si hubby mo. ikaw naghahanap ka na din ba ng work? we are schedule to fly to perth this june 20. stay lang muna kami sa friend ko ng ilang days habang naghahanap ng matutuluyan. hope to see you there as well.

Kami nuing dumating dito last june; so daming sale at doon kami namili ng gamit para sa bahay sa ikea. For now we are still renting in south perth bare unit din.

Kung gusto mo makatipid at looking for second hand items try to check the following;

Furniture at gamit sa bahay = salvation army / salvo store dami sila binibenta mura lang.
Used and Un-used Clothing (very good condition at some are branded) = Good Samaritan

Palagi kami namimili ni misis sa Good Samaritan. at every month meron din silang sale like 50 percent discount. mas marami choices pambabae at mostly new or never used clothes.

Syanga pala Perthy Peeps esp. those with family here, san po kayo nagparegister ng Medicare at Centrelink? Di kasi ako makaabsent sa work para pumunta sa mismong offices nila. Meron malapit samin na Centrelink CSC - Seniors & Carers Perth Medicare, pwede kaya kami dito or para lang sa senior citizens ito? Pwede rin kami dyan for Medicare registration. Isa pang office na malapit sa amin ay Centrelink CSC - Victoria Park, kaso nga lang lahat ito ay office hours at walang Saturday.

Yung Medicare form po ay i-download na namin para filled up form na dala namin pagpunta ng Medicare. At yung sa Centrelink naman ay dun na kami mismo sa office nila magfill up ng forms, tama po ba?

@clickbuddy2009, i dunno san ka dito sa Perth. doublecheck mo yung day at timing ng Medicare na malapit sa inyo. dito kasi sa Morley, yung Medicare ay open ng Saturday morning sa loob ng Galleria Shopping Centre. yep, download the form and fill it up na para ipapasa mo na lang.

Sa Centrelink, sa amin yung form ng pag-claim ng Family Tax Benefit ang ni-fill-up-an namin. Ibinigay yun nung taga-Centrelink when we went to the Centrelink Office. Sabi yun na ang pinaka-registration namin. Kumbaga, claim and be registered at the same time.

Salamat po sa inputs perthy pips! Knina lng may tumawag na pre-approved dw ng agent ung lease application nmin, subject to owner's approval bukas. We r supposed to check out bukas sa holiday apt. Possible pa kya na mka move in kmi bukas? Kc hndi pa kmi nag abiso na mag eextend kmi ng stay sa holiday apt.

another thing, for 190 holders, did u guys visit the WA govt office to register? Un kc nxt ggwin ko soon as mgka lease agreement na kmi.

Sa TFN, medicare at centrelink nman, i cant register online kc wla kmi permanent adress. As per website kc reqd un, for correspondence purposes. FYI , and for comments po?

@rei_ya yep tama po ma'am regarding sa tfn, medicare and centrelink. Napakadali lang naman po nun kaya no need to worry. Medicare I don't know if you can do it online po pero yung tfn sure po yun na you can request online and just wait for it through mail.

@joestrummer hi! ok na po ang TFN, medicare, centrelink nmin.. what i realised eh, sa 1st few weeks tlgang mdmi dpat pag aralan... nalunod ang brain understanding tax..super..insurance..pati garbage collection! we moved on wednesday, thursday AM pla dapat ilabas garbage bin! ayun, 2weeks ang aming basura..

but the more important realisation is, God indeed is in control.. from the moment we arrived, ang dami daming favors na binigay sa min..even sent us good people to help us along the way.. thank you thank you thank you Lord!

now its 12midnight at inaalam ko pa san mas mura mag bulk buy ng groceries..

Thanks thanks @cind3r3lla, centrelink na lang po kulang namin. Yung Medicare, dun kami nagregister sa tapat ng woolworths sa St. Georges Terrace. Nakapagopen na rin kami ng joint bank account sa ANZ. Plan sana ay saka na kami magregister sa centrelink since akala ko iuuwi ko pa anak namin sa Pinas. Pero mukhang magbabago na naman kami ng plans. Magregister na lang kami now ng centrelink eventhough we're not sure yet kung tuloy2 na anak ko dito or uuwi pa ba sya ng pinas. Pero atleast nakaregister na kami. Malalaman naman cguro ng centrelink kung lumabas sya ng bansa.

Sa victoria park lang pinakamalapit samin na centrelink, pwede ba wife ko na lang ang pupunta dun? Di kasi ako makaabsent sa work.

@clickbuddy2009, okay lang naman na wife mo na magpunta sa Centrelink. better na i-print mo na yung claim form ng Family Tax Benefit, fill it up, attach the necessary docs… tapos dalhin nya na lang sa center together with your passports.

About dun sa kung malalaman ng Centrelink kung lumabas ng bansa yung bata or not, yep malalaman naman nila. pero mas okay rin na ipaalam nyo na rin just in case. 1 phonecall lang naman yun. I got to know this kasi nung nagpasa ako ng claim, may page na nagsasabi na wala yung anak namin dito sa Aust last year. hehe. Though start ngayong 2014 lang naman yung ni-claim namin. Siguro tiningnan rin yung 2013 kasi andito na si hubby sa Aust nun.

After na ma-register na or your first claim, yung succeeding claims (kung meron pa), pwede nang online o kaya by using the mobile app. nice noh. aliw lang. hehe.

Sya nga pala, about house rental naman. Mahirap ba makarent ng whole unit kapag wala pa work dito? Maghahanap na sana kami ng malilipatan by mid of next month.

Pano po ang initial payment nun? I understand there is a bond of atleast a whole month's rent. Iba pa ba yan sa deposit? Then another 1month for advance payment? Thank you

regarding house rental, just look for for lease/rent house at www.realestate.com.au at www.domain.com.au

Ang system kasi dito is need to book for viewing, need mo mg view the unit then sa scheduled viewing doon ibibigay ang application form for interested applicants to rent the unit. From the applicants mamimili ang may ari kung kanino niya i-gragrant to rent the unit. Take note, if maganda ang unit marami kang kalaban na applicant then. Once ikaw ang napili to or granted of offer to rent the unit. You need to pay a bond which is usually 4 weeks times the weekly rate. then advance payment is 2 weeks rent (minimum). For Us first pay namin and 4 weeks bond, at 2 weeks advance payment. then ginagawa namin is pay the whole month either 4 or 5 weeks. Last thing pala to consider contract here is 6 months or 1 year.

one thing pala i forgot to mention.
Regarding renting, application form requires point na ma meet. For you to be considered in renting.
This point is usually consist of passport, medicare card, driver's license, atm/credit card, financial statement.

i am ece, but yung nature of work ko is more in control safety systems engineering. yung mga client namin is mining, oil and gas companies and other company that ha a safety system requirement. Purely doing safety system engineering/programming at site commissioning are scope of my work. How about you?
