@paanfsurn its up to u kung ano gusto mo, student visa with 40 hours/fortnight rights or visitor visa with no work rights. both with multiple entry (provided multiple entry bigay ng immi officer). as ive said, not all BP schools qualify sa student visa for doing bridging program.

@kymme pero pag sa school like acn and etea na nag require po ng student visa for bridging, 3-5 mos lang po duration ng student visa? For example 12 weeks po ung bridging so 12 weeks lang po duration nya? Hindi po 1 year. Tama po ba?

@paanfsurn I'm not quite sure what you meant with multiple visa. Immigration never issues multiple visa...this does not exist.

I need your advise guys.

With the Bridging Visa - it's from Ato E so depende yan sa prior visa na hawak mo. Hindi siya automatically na BVA. Once you lodge your PR Visa, it automatically comes with a Bridging Visa. Each BVs have their own conditions attached to it. Sometimes you have to wait bago siya magtake in effect. For example, you have a visa prior to that like TV hindi magtetake in effect yung Bridging Visa not unless maexpire yung TV na hawak mo. In saying that, kahit na allowed ka to work with the BridgingVisa, hindi ka makakapagwprk pa dahil nakatake in effect pa yung TV mo.

@paanfsurn i stand corrected by @cassey di pala automatic na BVA. it can be from A to E. bridging visa will only take effect if expire na yung dating visa mo (tourist or student visa). kaya twg e bridging kasi ng bridge xa sa dalawang visa mo. but before u can lodge, dpat nainvite kana. yun yung pataasan ng points. ilan points mo?

Depende sa case mo if youre hilding a TV pero expired na before kapa mainvite at makalodge ng visa ang bridging visa for you is BVC but you cannot apply for BVB for this type of BV unlike BVA.

@paanfsurn if 189 skilled independent ang plan mong i apply, pataasan ng points kasi konti lng invitations per round. i think ngayon nsa 300/round lang for all occupations. so yung matataas na points, sila yun nauna mainvite. at the moment, 70 pointers iniinvite. may friend ako 60 points lang submitted july 2017, wla pa din invitation.

another option is visa 190, state sponsorship. if yung occupation nsa nsa skill list ng target state mo and u have met the state’s minimum requirement, then u can apply for 190. di xa ksali sa invitation rounds. dpende na sa state kung kelan nila bet i invite ang applicant, dpende sa need nila. at the moment nsa average 12 weeks ang invite sa state on victoria. idk about other states. this will also give you extra 5 points. points system p din. but in return, u have to live and work at the state for at least 2 years. note that its nit the state ang mgbibigay sayo ng work. this is not employer-sponsored visa. ao ikw p rin mghahanap ng work

@paanfsurn what made my application stronger for the state of vic is yung permanent job ko as RN. u have to prove kasi na ‘highly employable’ ka sa state. and i claimed 5 points for 1 yr Aus RN exp din. although konti lng points ko 60+5, un ung nka tulong sa papers ko

At may edge un sa state.

@paanfsurn Medyo may katagalan ang 189 invites ngayon kasi from 3000, it’s down to 300 ang nabibigyan ng invitation.
With the 190, nagclose ang Queesland for RNs until July of this year. Even the 457 Visa, mas matagal din ang grant ngayon.

@paanfsurn I’m not sure, you have to check the English requirement for each of the individual state as it varies from state to state.

    or

@LovellaEllen Afaik, pandagdag lang po ang SSS info and contributions as proof of paid work... di man po sya required. Same goes true with ITR. Of course, you have ITR if you are working in the Phils so if you're not, then no need.

Some OFWs contribute to SSS as OFW/Voluntary Members... you can do a screenshot your member data and list of contributions if you have access to MySSSOnline, and you can enrol if you do not have access yet, assuming you have recent contributions. Otherwise, you have to go to your nearest SSS Office and request to have those printed.

    @jammmy Wow!!! Congrats!!!

Processing times for 189 visa applications can take 9-12 months according to DHA website.

Based on your situation, you can either do the following:
    1. Cancel your 457 application and lodge your 189. However, since 457 implies that you have an employer as sponsor which initiated the process you will have to discuss the situation with them because this would result in additional delay in commencing work with them.
    2. I suppose that since you were able to lodge the 457, you have beaten the cut off period. Just the other day I was checking and 457 now indicates DISCONTINUED as per immi website. Last time, with all documents (both from employer and applicant) are in place 457 visa processing took about a little more than a month. Assuming, it will still be the same, you can wait for a month or two for the outcome of 457 application, commence working with your employer/sponsor and then lodge your 189. Anyway, you have 6 months grace period after invitation to lodge.

@jammmy Congrats! Are you currently in Au? What Visa are you holding? Before you withdraw or cancel any Visa application make sure that you have a valid visa that lets you stay lawlfully here in Au. Are you staying here on a Bridging Visa (from the 457 ) at the moment? If you will cancel the 457 , it automatically cancels the Bridging Visa that comes with it which will leave you unlawful IF you are staying here on that Bridging Visa.

Don’t do anything in haste. I don’t think telling your employer will help at this stage especially that it was just lodge a week ago. I think it’s best to tell them once you have submitted your PR application. Read your contract as well and see if you’re breaking any of the clauses.

Lastly, before you lodge your PR application, make sure that you have uploaded all the needed documents for a chance to a Direct Grant otherwise it will be a LONG wait if you missed to upload something.
