Hello po @dy3p @Cassey :) I need your advise regarding my options after BP (which will be this July-Oct 2018 at ACN). Based kasi sa ibang threads, sabi nila for PR application 189/190, 75pts is the new 60. Wala na daw invited successfully lately na 60/65 points lng. Is this true for us Nurses? Please po check my situation and let me know kung anong best option.

My points is only 65 (if 15 points yung school natin sa pinas). Im based in SG for 10 years as Reg Nurse in Anesthesia department. I know TSS will replace 457 visa and it sucks since in TSS, your only eligible to apply for PR after 3 yrs working. So do you think its better to apply for 190? or perhaps 189? or just grab if someone will offer me sponsorship through TSS?

@LovellaEllen , may kakilala ako nag 190 sa Vic December 2017, 60+5 xa, at nainvite ng January 8 2018. Yung TSS medyo blur para sa akin talaga kasi basen on my understand may pathway to PR ang nasa MLTSSL under ENS after 3 yrs. Pero ang 189 is independent skilled hindi under ENS. So i presume pwedi parin mag 189 anytime under TSS.

Sorry, ano po yung ENS? dko alam if possible yang PR 189 application less than 3 yrs under TSS. Sana ma confirm natin soon na possible para if may mag offer accept agad yung TSS. I will be resigning kasi this early July since my BP will be on the 30th. As much as possible, I would like to work agad :(

Anyway, thanks for your insights. I guess the demand for Nurses is still high that's why 75 points may not be required to us. Hopefully, it wont change by the time I'm done with my ANMAC. By the way yung friend mo through 190 invited in VIC, ano po yung specialty niya and how many years experience?

ENS - Employer Nominated Sponsorship. Yung pagkakasabi kasi, yung STSOL no PR pathway, ngunit ung MLTSSL meron after three years. Ibig sabihin, yung employer mo magsposponsor ng PR mo. Pero kasi ung 189, independent, ikaw at ikaw lang, walang tulong/sponsorship from state (190), regional (187), or employer (186). Pero it is still very unclear kung tama ung comprehension ko sa binasa ko.

60 pointer sya, mataas experience nya kaso may years sa experience nya di nya napa assess sa ANMAC dahil mahirap makakuha ng professional reference kasi nagwork sya sa UAE dati. Supposedly 65 sya, naging 60 dahil dun.

@LovellaEllen Hi, have you checked kung kailangan mo pa bang magBP? You have to check with AHPRA kasi baka you won’t need to do a BP since you’ve long been working in Sg. Lately, mas mabilis ang invite ng 190. Yung 189 may naiinvite pa rin naman ang nakita ko na waiting time is around 6mos kapag 189 but may nakikita pa rin naman ako na naiinvite after a month. Nagbabago bago nga eh kasi during our time, mas mabilis ang 189 tsaka pag nurses regardless of the points naiinvite kaagad pero ngayon parang iniba nila yung process nung invitation.

Sabi ng hubby ko, with your experience eh pagaagawan ka rito sa Au, you just have to try and submit
    wherever possible.

Yung sa TSS, yung sinasabi na you need to work for at least 3yrs is for the Visa 186. I think you can still apply for PR as long as it’s under 189 or 190 regardless of the years you’ve work with your employer.

April 13, 2016 Lodged EOI thru Skill Select
April 27, 2016 Received invitation to apply for Visa 189 (Nurse)
May 2, 2016 Lodged application for 189 Visa (Onshore)
May 11, 2016 CO contacted for Form 80/Medicals of daughter
June 17, 2016 189 VISA GRANTED Thank you my amazing God :)

Hi @Cassey! Yes I've checked with AHPRA, I was hoping din na no need na mag BP but hindi raw up to standard school natin sa Pinas. Sana tama yung hubby mo lol The whole process was never easy for me, it took me 4 IELTS and finally 1 OET exam just to pass the English requirement. tpos ngayon, I'm considering to take again PTE to try to get another 10 points (since 65 lang yun sakin) before my BP which will be on July at ACN.

I've also read other forums and they all say even with TSS, you can still apply PR through 189/190. This is a really big relief for me. I'm hoping and praying after BP I could get a really good offer so that will proceed with TSS. Then once I'm in AU, we will apply PR through 189/190 asap. If no offer then will proceed with PR through 190 after BP.

By the why I have few questions (Sorry kulit ko).

    1. Regarding IELTS, does my hubby need to take it as well even we are not planning to have his experience assessed?
    2. Regarding payslips for PR application, how many months needed? 1 year? or last 3 months lang?
    3. For professional references, I saw the guide from anmac, but does any one have a sample? :)
    4. Before SG, I have 1 year hospital experience sa pinas, do I have to get professional references/payslips? I'm having 2nd thoughts kasi hindi kami good terms with my direct supervisor which was the reason I left in the 1st place. Do you think it's worth it? Will it add to my pay grade? in SG alone, I have 2 years EN as PACU Nurse and 8 yrs RN as AU Nurse.
    5. Regarding medical, they said to obtain it before lodging EOI. Do you have available list or could direct me to a link for me and my dependent?

Thank you so much ahead @Cassey

May kakilala ako na while working sa SG, nagparegister xa sa as RN sa NZ, bale mga nurses galing SG automatic ma register as NZRN without undergoing the CAP. After nya nakuha ang registration sa NZ, nagparegister xa sa AHPRA thru the TTA(Transtasman Agreement) so naging AURN din xa while working pa din sa SG, nakapaganmac na xa at lilipad na xa sa AU under 457 visa.

Anyway regarding the PR application, may kakilala ako na PR na last 3 mos lang ang prinesent na evidence of paid employment at tinanggap naman ng case officer. per may advice din na 3 payslips per year of employment para sure.

Any experience na gusto mo iclaim as points ay dapat assessed ng ANMAC otherwise it will have no count/bearing when you submit your EOI and subsequently lodge your visa.

Regarding sa medical, do it after getting the invite to lodge a visa. Either way kung ano mauna, be it pag lodge or medical, but make sure na di masyado malaki ang gap days kasi nga iwas CO contact.

    @LovellaEllen No worries at all.

    1. He doesn’t need to take IELTS, he just needs to get a CEMI from the Uni which he went to as well as have a copy of his Uni qualifications like TOR, Cert of Graduation and Diploma.
    2. Random lang na payslips, maybe 1 per year if you can. Depende kasi on how fussy yung CO na hahawak nung application niyo. Yung sa amin is 1payslip lang for the whole 3yrs pero yung kakilala namin hiningan pa siya, so depende talaga
    3. Sorry, wala akong sample. Maybe try to ask others.
    4. If you want to get points for that experience, you need reference letter as well other proofs for that particular experience. I think ang inaassess lang ng ANMAC is yung experience for the last 10yrs..
    5. Yes, it’s best to have the medicals done prior to lodging but you have to consider as well kung kailan sa tingin mo maiinvite ka and kung kailan ka makakapaglodge. One thing na I always tell applicants is to lodge or submit the PR application only when all the documents or requirements are ready. Matagal kasi bago balikan ng CO yung papers kapag may kulang. Sa immi account meron yung “my applications” then click the new application then click health then health declaration tapos you can go from there. You can read more from this link:

Hi @Invisible_Man! :) Yep I heard about the TTA path. Pero para sa akin, one of the purpose of BP is for you to be acclimatized on what's the hospital setting in AU which is still very different from SG. Maybe if you really work in NZ even for a few months tpos mag transfer through TTA ok lang yun. It's a loop hole in the system that others are taking advantage and I'm scared what if 1 day AHPRA decides to check. But still I don't condemn those who took that path, whatever works so it's ok. Hindi na din applicable for me coz I already applied sa AHPRA few months ago and they refer me to BP. Thanks for the advise regarding the points, payslips and medical. I try to prepare everything before I will leave SG :)

@Cassey @Invisible_Man Thanks for all the inputs. I've been a lurker in these forums for a while now and you guys always answer all queries on multiple threads, we really appreciate all the effort :)

    @LovellaEllen , youre welcome.

Ako din galing SG bago ako nag BP sa AU, pero PTE ang napasa kong exam hindi ang ielts at oet kaya i have to go through the BP. Yes, to be accustomed with AU health care is actually a good idea and 3 months is way enough even lalo na kung galing kana ng Singapore or other first world country. Di ko minamaliit ang AU in terms sa healthcare, in fact, mixture siya ng Singapore at Philippine setting. Advanced healthcare pina SG na maypagka laidback pina Pinas which is gustong gusto ko.

@Invisible_Man lol oo nga it will take time for me to adapt esp accent. Baluktot na English natin dito eh hehe Tempting din talaga yung TTA pathway kaso I can't take the risk. OET yung sakin pero referred for BP parin. Do you knw anyone who's from SG, passed IELTS/OET, with good experience then registered right away without BP? I heard those stories but I cant confirm them. Maybe yes if you probably graduated from one of the top schools in the Philippines? I'm from Davao Doctor's College, I'm sure it's not up to standard with AU lol

if you dont mind, may I knw what VISA your taking? I guess PR? 189/190? any reason why you never went from 457? Also, saan ka nag BP.

Like mag CAP pa and stuff. PAregister lang ako as NZRN, at once maregister na, pwedi na hanap ng employer while working pa rin.

Recently nga, may kakilala na ako, nagresign na xa sa aming hospital na winorkan ko sa SG kasi on 457 visa na sya ngayon sa AU, magaling kasi wala siyang work gap, tuloy-tuloy sahod niya hahaha. I think it doesnt matter which school sa pinas ka graduate. Yes you are correct, isang malaking loophole talaga siya, kasi kung reciprocal ang SG at NZ, at separately ang NZ at AU, bakit hindi pwede ang SG at AU. To make things easier for everybody kumbaga. Or baka money talks. hahaha. Di ko alam. Ayaw ko nalang din alamin kung bakit.

Ngayon, I am currently waiting for my PR 189 visa. I underwent BP at IHNA Perth IRON July 2017 batch. Since July pa ako resigned sa SG at tengga pa rin til now. Pero at least i am at my last step of the whole immigration process. Visa nalang talaga hinihintay ko. At least kumbaga may progress at worth the wait.

@Invisible_Man My husband also is from Cebu! hehe I love Cebu :) Oo nga eh, all my friends naman nasa AU or processing pa lang tpos under BP din.. I knew about the TTA pathway from friends from other hospitals here in SG but I just decided against it. Takot kasi ako baka mag backfire sakin.. In paper kasi, hindi talaga pwd unless probably you worked in NZ even for few months..

I'm sure you will have your PR soon. Atleast your done na dba. Just keep your self busy, Im sure dyan sa Cebu hindi ka ma bored dyan :) For my case, if there's a very good offer then will proceed with TSS.. If no offer then just apply for PR like you, maybe 190 since 65 points lang ako.. :( then apply PR when in AU.. hope everything will be smooth for me.. Congrats ahead sa VISA mo :)

@changeiscoming Nasa Aussie ka na po? Nasa 450 hours ba at pwede mo pa bang makuhaan ng proof yung volunteer nursing experience? To be registered kasi you need to prove having worked 450 hours as a nurse in the past 5 years. Initial assessment eh parang pasok pa rin naman kayo sa required points na at least 60 after taking the course.

Sana dahil puro 600 invites per month for Dec to Feb so far, mapabilis na ang usad ng 189/190 once maclear na nila ang backlog ng current fiscal year.

@kymme Thanks! yes will definitely go for 190 (I only have 65 points). I'm just not sure if I should proceed with TSS (if employer will sponsor me) or just go for 190. If TSS and 190 have around same processing times, might as well go for 190.

May sense ba yung assumption ko or mali?
