    Nakakahiya naman sa PLDT/Smart at Globe... sa laki ng kinikita nila sa telecom businesses nila... Wala ba silang balak i-upgrade ang Internet sa Pinas?


    In the country where I am right now, we are paying equivalent ~PHP 800 for 15 (fifteen, kinse, labing-lima... yes more than ten) Mbps internet...

    Sa Pinas I am paying Globe WiMax PHP 899 for 1 (One, Isa, hindi Dalawa, walang kasunod na Zero... Blank Space baby) Mbps?

    Wow na Wow, Boom na Boom, Payanig sa Pasig!

    Tsk tsk... observation ko lang… ang Pinas ata ang may pinakamabagal na “internet slow” sa buong planet earth…

    Medyo mahaba yung article pero parang ang gist ba is monopoly.. kaya kontrolado… or manipulado?

    Yes ang problema is ang PLDT, I remember during the dial-up internet Era, I was working in an Internet Service Provider. PLDT simply killed those ISP by becoming an ISP themselves. Since they got the infra, it will be easy to for them to rule, unlike those ISP who rents their Infrastructure (I'm talking about the telephone lines) for their bandwidths to reach their customers. They know opening the Peering will bring their business to a dangerous spot. That's why they don't care.
