    @FrenchMilk: Mag-exam pa rin ako. In fact nakabook na ako before mag-open ang SA. I don't want to rely to much sa SA kasi antagal din ng TAT nila then not sure pa of the success of the approval. I need to act fast na rin kasi time flies. Yun main reason ng application namin (yung baby ko lumalaki na hindi namin kasama.) :-(

    Hello folks, may dilemma ako. I need ng mga opinion kasi nalilito na ako.

    Open na occupation ko(271299) sa SA for 190/489. Pasok naman ako sa points if 489 ang i-apply ko. Kaya lang, naka-apply na ko ng student visa for masters ko sa Canberra. Bayad na and all, just waiting for the visa kung aabot. Sputum test :(

    I'm torn between Canberra on a student visa vs SA on a 489.

    Nakatira na ko dati sa Canberra before going back sa Pilipinas and 3 kapatid ko ang nakatira doon.

    Ang plan ko is to apply for 190 sa ACT after 3 months and after makapasa sa interpreter exam for additional points. If I choose this path, magsasara naman path ko sa SA dahil sa state commitment requirement of having lived in another state.

    Sa SA naman TR na pero wala akong kakilala duon and never pa akong napunta doon. Kung single ako or kung kami lang ni misis, game kami sa adventure, pero may baby na kami kaya medyo complicated.

    @MyOzdream good luck buti hindi ka naabutan ng Special Conditions Apply...
    Ako nga need ko na mag prepare ng plan B just in case refused ako. Intay ko ang updated SOL ng ACT. Mas madaming requirements ang ACT sponsorship kesa SA. Pinaka less demanding sa requirements ang SA.

    Have you heard of stories na kahit below 60 pts ang EOI eh na-approve pa rin for sponsorship?

    @FrenchMilk mukhang di mangyayari yan kasi requirement ng DIBP mismo ang 60 points else masasayang lang yung sponsorship of alam na agad na di abot sa required points.

    @attysarle Oh pareho tayo ng nominated occupation, hello! Naiintindihan ko po ba ng tama na:

    ACT: Student visa, then after interpreter exam, apply for 190 PR visa
    SA: 489 (Temporary Visa), valid for 4 years

    Gaano po ba katagal bago kayo maging accredited interpreter sa ACT? 3 months lang po ba? Parang mas OK na choice ang ACT, may kamag-anak na po kayong matutuluyan doon at mas mura ang cost of applying for a permanent visa in the long run.

    @atty tama ka :) if tama pagkakaintindi ko kasing haba din ng skills assessment ang result ng interpreter exam and around 700-800 dollars bayad. Sa ACT, may 3 month residency requirement before ka puwede mag-apply and dapat employed ka in a skilled occupation. Although not necessarily na sa nominated occupation mo ang employment.

    Sa SA puwede na ako mag-apply now. I think complete naman na requirements ko.

    Pero as of the moment, ACT na kami tutuloy. Bayad na and waiting for the visa na lang. If ma-deny dahil sa GTE then I'll take it as a sign na sa SA kami :)

    OT: Mag-solicitor ka ba? Wala ko makita outline sa SA law society paano process nila. Unlike sa LPAB ng NSW halos naka-outline.

    @FrenchMilk thank you sa reply. Mas preferred ko SA dahil:

    1.sobrang lamig sa ACT kapag winter. Tagos sa buto.

    2.malayo ang beach. 2-3 hours away.

    3. Hindi kasali sa A-league ACT soccer teams.

    4. Puwede na ko mag-apply now and refund tuition ko less 10% nga lang.

    Pero mas convenient sa ACT. May network of friends na (mechanic, hair stylist, Pinoy store etc). I can get work faster and may tutulong na maghanap ng bahay.

    So... sa ACT na kami. Mas matrabaho maging PR pero less effort sa pag-settle. Praying na ma-PR kami and maka visit/road trip sa SA and Adelaide.

    At opo, mag-pa-pa-admit ako as solicitor sa SA pero pang resume na lang. Pagod na ako sa practice e haha :D Kayo po?

    @atty 1.5 years Masters pero flexible kung ano subjects kukunin ko. I plan to study the subjects na ni-require sa akin ng NSW LPAB, 8 lahat, then practical legal training. Sana maging ok para ma-admit by next year :)

    Meron na ako positive skills assessment sa 271299, February submitted sa Vetassess, mid May lumabas result. May IELTS na din ako, isang academic at isang general (adik lang hehe).

    Hindi ako nagpractice masyado, legal BPO pinasok ko. Simpleng buhay lang at tsaka para madaling iwanan kapag nakapag migrate na :)

    Guys I am so happy. I received an invitation to apply for 489 visa. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Nagka milestone kasi ako last week at nagbago yung calculation ng EOI points ko at akala ko, yun na ang magiging grounds sa refusal ko. Thank you Lord.

    Now, I need to prepare my documents to be able to lodge the application.

    I have 60 days to apply di po ba?
