Hi guys! Im new here. I am currently applying for student visa but I have history of refused tourist visa to OZ. What can I expect in my student visa application? Thank you in advance! :)

Dec 2015: Inquiry to AMS, IDP, AECC
Feb 2016: Opted to apply for Visit Visa (Subclass 600) impulsive decision
Feb 28: REFUSED VISIT VISA
Mar 01: Decided to consult AMS
Mar 05: Took IELTS in Doha Qatar
Mar 08: Applied for Deakin University (Bachelor of Nursing 1 year conversion FEB 2017 intake)
Mar 15: Refused by DU due to IMMI History
Mar 15: IELTS Results (L:8.5, R: 6.0, W: 7.5, S: 6.5; OBS:7)
Mar 17: Submitted Reconsideration Letter to Deakin University
Mar 28: DU Reconsidered
Apr 01: Started compiling the Visa Requirements
Apr 04: Received final offer from DU
Apr 19: Paid fees (OSHC, tuition, DUELI)

    your previous visa application is already a part of your immigration history to Australia. Hopefully your assigned CO will not dwell or put a big deal on that. Just be truthful with all your documents and answers plus be ready with everything like docs and funds. Good luck.

Yes i think so as long as all your dos are ready..it happened to my sister..she was refused for tourist visa due to lack of funds as what the immi said..but she was granted for student visa just last year since my other sister sponsored her..they are both in sydney now..i hope i could be there as well..still waiting..

    @Waiting101 thanks! My visa refused last year. Nov 25, 2015 okay lang mag-file kahit wala pang one year yung refusal ko? Cause my dad got scared baka daw marefused ulit. We find agency that could help us. Thanks! Try vocational course and after the course you can apply for bachelor.

    @Xiaomau82 @Waiting101 Hi guys! Thanks for responding. My visa refusal was this Feb 2016 due to lack of funds. Pinakita ko lang kasi ang bank account ko sa work ko, and I am based in Qatar. Di ko pinakita asset ko sa Pinas which is why my CO from Dubai thought na may chance ako na di na bumalik or magstay sa OZ. I am currently on the process of my student visa. Waiting for my eCOE from school and im about to lodge for my health declaration.

    @Jasen we have the same dilemma. Im taking my chances din. My father will sponsor me. I hope na magrant tayo ng visa :)

    @aldee global consultancy. Waiting na din ako for certificate of enrollment. Mara registered sila sa aussie tapos may branch sila dito sa makati, davao and gensan pati sa ibang country. Sa monday pamedical na ako kasi binigyan nila ako ng referral letter.

    @aldee sa BCA vocational course ng aged care IV and diploma ng community kinuha ko. Lapit na kasing grumaduate si bf ng nursing sa UTS kaya kapag nag-file cya ng PR maisama nya ako basta may live-in ng 1 year sabi sa immi sa aussie.

    @Jasen that sounds like a plan! Pero pde 1 year lng? As de facto kayo? May joint account or properties na ba kayo sa pinas? Naghahanap din kami way ni bf pano nya ko masama or baka magseparate application na lng kami for PR :) Anyway, good luck sis! Let's pray for that :)

    @aldee wala kami properties dito sa pinas kasi hindi naman kami nag-live-in dito. Kapag nabigyan ako ng student visa sa aussie pala lang kami mag-lilive-in. kapag nag-file siya ng PR dun pa lang ako magiging de facto tpos depandant ko siya. mas mabilis na way mag-pakasal na lang kayo.

    Hello, crosscourse ang dahilan ng refusal due to GTE. ang application ko today is nakaline natalaga sa education ko sa PH w/c is IT. ikaw? na refuse ka rin ba once? may COE kana?

    @Joshua1_9 ohh, ako naman visit visa ang inaapply ko, financial and ties sa home country ang cause ng refusal ko. Di ko kasi dineclare assest ko sa pinas. Un bank ko lng dito sa Qatar :( kala ko enough na un hehe.

    @Joshua1_9 I guess kaya pa yan! Yun sister ko, days na lng before start ng school nya tsaka sya nagrant ng visa nya. Nagback out kasi un FedUni nya then naghapit sya for La trobe then tsaka lng sya naglodge ng visa nya all at the same month ng start ng school nya :) Keep the faith lng..     Apr 19: Paid fees (OSHC, tuition, DUELI)
    Apr 21: eCOE Received
    Apr 28: Medicals done (xray, blood, urinalysis).
    Forwarded all completed papers to AMS (157A, 956A, VFS, Form54) and other requirements.
    May 17: AU Embassy (Manila) acknowledge receipt.
    May 24: VISA GRANT!!!!!!!

    I think it shouldn't be a problem as long as your current credentials meets or exceeds the criteria for Student visa. :)
