Can't choose between cities

BagonglumaBagongluma Quezon CityPosts: 9Member
Just a quick run down lang po Sydney was always our first choice as brothers of 3 na, hopefully, sabay sabay makakapunta sa Australia but after reading a few threads here in the site I can't say if Sydney parin ang best choice para sa kanila lalo na sa mga naandon na mismo.

I've been seeing a lot of love with Melbourne dahil laid back and stable jobs and maganda pa yung environment with a few parks here and there with trees.

Sydney naman po nakikita ko mga taong nagsasabing delikado daw since City nga mataas ang bilihin and yung iba nahihirapan pang kumuha ng trabaho so para samin na going there is the last resort just to give our mother her dream house, nakakatakot pong isipin na yung big move na to pwede pang i-jeopardize yung pangarap na yon.

We had our humble beginning kaya hindi ko rin po matatangi na practical kaming tatlo in terms of looking for work so ready po kami mag blue collar job.

We're all considered Citizens by descent and we have everything ready just looking for more information regarding flight rates and weighing their differences.

Any help between the 2 cities po would be a huge help para sa big move namin. Maraming salamat po sa mga tutulong

I am more inclined with WA kasi more sunny days hehe. Vic is the more preferred choice by most with regards sa cost of living/opportunities..

Before I moved here, a lot of people were telling me mas bagay daw ako sa Melbourne. I wasn't sure they kept saying that. Job wise I can easily find work in both Sydney and Melbourne as my industry is always hiring.

I ended up in Sydney because I have family and friends here - in short I have a better support system here.

I visited Melbourne and I didn't fancy it that much. There's a lot more going on in Sydney that I'm interested in. So hindi ko pa rin gets ba't ako pinipilit nung iba na mag-Melbourne daw.

    To each his own.

Yup kung saan ka makakuha ng work na gusto mo at magiging masaya ka. Basta may pera ka at stable income, you can travel naman anywhere. Ang pinakamahirap kasi na part sa migration eh yung hindi ka makahanap ng work tapos unti unting nauubos savings mo and hindi mo alam saan ka pupulutin after months na wala ka pa ring income. After a while, hindi mo na maeenjoy ung shopping centre/ shops/scenaries kung nasaan ka man. Most states/ regional places naman may coles, woolworths, coffee shops, bunnings, big w, etc.

Laidback lifestyle depends din within sa states. Like here in Toowoomba, by 5pm literally shutdown na yung buong lugar everything is less than 15 mins drive. Sa queensland, hervey bay, sunnt coast and goldcoast are laidback places din. Not so famous areas/regionals places in Aussie are really laidback bordering to boring na like Moree, West Wyalong, etc. Melbourne and Sydney are both nice places din.

    07 Feb 14 - Visa Granted
04 Aug 14 - Initial Entry Date requirement
26 July 14 - Actual IED to Melbourne
    May 2015 - Big Move
June 2015 - Got a permanent role in Melbourne
Apr 2016 - Got a contract consultancy role in Melbourne
May 2016 - Got permanent role and moved to Toowooba, Queensland

And now...... living the life that i have imagined
