Moving to Perth in July

Hi! Was granted my visa last May and planning to fly to Perth this first week of July. I don’t know anyone in Perth, and I was looking thru ads in gumtree pero I have no idea kung saang area ako dapat maghanap. Saan ba ang good area to start with for migrants looking for work in it and shared services? Sana yung malapit lang din sa transit hubs. I have previous experience in project management in IT and shared services, and my nominated occupation is Project Administrator, so I’m looking into IT and shared services companies. But I’m also open to getting odd jobs while settling, honestly I’m not sure with my current prospects kasi, most project management work I’m seeing atm are for construction and engineering. -.-

Or kung may alam kayong pinoy na naghahanap ng housemate let me know!

Ah.. you're right. Haha. Not sure if I can move this though. Do you already have a suburb in mind? Totally no idea kasi ako haha pero I'm already booked first weekend ng July.

) Hopefully may masecure na place before then.

Payo lang po... I think ang importante ay kung saan SAFE - yung mapagkakatiwalaan mo ang magiging ka-housemates at mapagkakatiwalaan ka rin nila. Huwag muna choosy sa itsura ng room or lugar kasi malaking factor kung sino ang makakasama mo sa bahay. Maski mukhang olats ang area pero masaya ka naman sa mga kasama mo, panalo na ito sa akin. :-bd

I share the same sentiments, yun nga lang I don't know anyone there so no basis on how I can say if safe ang mapuntahan ko or hindi

Right now sana lang makahanap ng place na may pinoy housemates. Basta sana near CBD para easier while looking for work? Hehe.

hello @star1 and @cookiebutter mid-August naman ako dating.. prefer ko CBD din.. if wala pa kau perm haus nyan by that time baka pede tau maging housemates tapos hanap tau lapit sa city or ung within free CAT or kahit ung 1 zone lang para mura pamasahe hehehe

Hindi ko kasi ma-imagine (savings wise) kung ano ang mas ok - near city yung house or yung house near train stations or bus stop.

Victoria Park

Tama kayo pag within sa city or malapit sa City mas mahal like not lower than 450aud ung rate per week. Actually Halos pareho lang ung rate ng weekly rent, difference lang is habang lumalayo sa City, Lumalaki ung unit. For my case malapit lang ako sa city, 8min lng na travel by bus. Nasa South Perth ako Mill Point Road at 370 per week ung nakuha ko, 2 rooms na. Ung mga kasamahan ko naman Villa type ung nakuha nila two rooms din ung isa 425 at 450 per week.. You can also check Victoria Park na area marami pagpipilian doon at di gaanong malayo sa City. Last thing pala most of the unit for rent is bare need to buy some stuff pa like furniture's and appliance. But some if you are lucky maeron na rin fully furnished. Enjoy looking for the House

We are a family of 3 (including a 14-month old toddler), will be arriving Aug 28.

It seems na mahirap maghanap ng house for rent especially dahil may bata kami.

So right now, we need a short-term accommodation (at least a month) na room while looking for a permanent one. If meron po dyan may available room, please PM me. Thank you!
