were staying na here sa Highgate, mga 2 km lang from the city. bale 2 bedroom apartment kaya lang medyo mahal, 600 per week.

Sa CBd kasi yung work ko, sa may hay street, si wifey naman, kumukuha ng trade course, culinary arts. Kaya nagustuhan namin sa mill point road sa south perth,

nice area.. kita mo ang perth city skyline from the other side..

currently renting a 2bedroom villa in Dianella, around 15min fr Perth.

Ganito ang naging events upon arrival:

- arrived with hubby and 2 kids. booked 10days at Mountway Holiday Apts, a few minutes walk to Perth CBD. Self contained units sya kaya nagluluto kmi at nglalaba sa apt.

-within 2 days from arrival, hubby had an interview, signed the offer the same day (Civil Engr ). then we started looking for flat/villa near his office

-viewed and applied for at least 5 flat/villa for rent, nka attch sa apllication ung job offer ni hubby. we offered 3mos advance payment in lieu of payslip and rent history (agents usually require these). may account na kmi sa Commonwealth bank nsa SG pa lang, pero we did not submit bank statements.

-rent application got approved on 10th day! (Glory to God! we really prayed na sna wag na kmi mag extend sa hotel kc we were paying AUD120 a night). signed the lease agreement the same day, and moved to Dianella the following day. hindi tinanggap ang offer namin na 3mos advance hehe.. we only paid the usual 2weeks advance and the bond.

-after lease signing, applied online for TFN para sa akin at para kay hubby (kase may permanent address na kmi, where ATO will send the TFN by mail). received TFN in less than 2 weeks

-while waiting for TFN, hubby (only) went to Centrelink office at Morley, nag apply sya ng claim. TFN to follow. once we got TFN, hubby had to visit the office again to update.. we still havent received centrelink payment as of writing, on process pa.. for reqd docs, pls check the website

-hubby and I (both required) went to Medicare office at Morley, nag register. one family, one medicare number

- created mygov online account, medicare online account, centrelink online account. magagwa mo lang ito only after personal registration at Medicare and Centrelink.

-ini email ko sa WA immigration ang scanned reqts to register as migrants. proof of WA residency required kaya ngwa lang nmin ito after the lease agreement. no need to visit personally. done.

- ini email ko sa Central immunisation Clinic ang immunisation records ng mga kids, tapos ini update nila sa Medicare.

-bought a 2nd hand car..hehehe.. necessity kc wla nman bus route malapit sa office ni hubby.

**** lahat po yan were done in less than 3 weeks upon arrival..

for now, wla na kami to do's as new migrants.. but still busy furnishing the house.. normally unfurnished nman ung mga for rent..

probably will be busy soon on our backyard garden (im nonworking).. thinking of planting kamote and luya.. ang mahal ng luya sa woolies grabe!

Today exactly e 1 month na kmi dto sa oz. Happy monthsary to me hehe!

So far, i love everything about our new life here.. wla pong halong exaggeration yan, but it is more than I have asked for or expected. and for that, I give all the glory to God..

Sya nga pala, about house rental naman. Mahirap ba makarent ng whole unit kapag wala pa work dito? Maghahanap na sana kami ng malilipatan by mid of next month.

Pano po ang initial payment nun? I understand there is a bond of atleast a whole month's rent. Iba pa ba yan sa deposit? Then another 1month for advance payment? Thank you

nung ng apply kmi rental, passport, visa at job offer lang ni hubby ang nka attach. tapos ang binayaran nmin e 2weeks advance, 4 weeks bond. 360per week ang 2bedroom villa nmin, so upon signing lease, we paid total AUD360 x 6. then ung nxt payment na eh 360 ulit after 2weeks of movein

@rei_ya Very good naman. My wife almost cried for the first two months namin here (exaggeration lang, but she's misses SG, we also came from SG). Now, were almost 6 months na here and I think were fine though in some instance, we still miss SG.

To all perthians, I knew that some time in Dec, 2013 we planned to have a mini get together here in Perth but it didn't materialized (for what I knew). Maybe we could set up one to touch base and explore the friendships for new landed here. We could meet up in Kingspark, Woodman's Point or any parks that you may recommend...any thoughts?

@isidro023 Set na natin, tutal lahat tayo ay new here (and in most cases, majorities came from SG ha ha ha) we can relate to each other. I like fishing and na exp ko rin ang mag crabbing sa south area (Mandurah). Hope everyone is ok with that idea. Itapat natin ng Saturday..

BTW, to those with children, may Disney on ice show sa perth arena (May 29 to June 1 I think). The tickets are selling like fish ball (not hotcakes he he he). New yung concept now unlike sa before, kasama na si Rapunzel (entangled) and Cars..

@lock_code2004 sa Resource Way, Malaga si hubby. Leaves office at 4:30, home in 15min.. ganun sna! sa SG, tea break pa lang ang 4:30pm..

@Filamokio, ang nmi miss ko cguro sa SG e ung Fairprice na nsa baba lang ng flat.. dun halos everyday pde ka mag market.. dto gumawa na ko ng monthly menu namin, tapos nilista ko kung ano dpat i market every forthnight..we have to drive pa to market..malapit lang naman, but definitely hndi pde maglakad lang, lalo na sa weather ngaun..thnaks pla sa info about disney on ice..ill check that..

@rei_ya Well, my wife also misses NTUC aka fairprice kaya nga pag nasa coles or woollies sya, she tend to compare everything. Pero on the good note, yung Sizzler na resto na namiss naming sa SG (kasi nagsara na long time ago) ay meron here (Innaloo at sa may Welshpool yata yung isa na napuntahan na naming). The kids will enjoy those resto kasi salad bar and ice cream are bottomless ha ha ha. Ilang taon na ang mga kids nyo? You have to attend the get together and I think it will be before end of this month.

To all subclass 190 holder in WA, need pa pala pumunta ng Murray street to register your arrival. I thought ok na by email then they will just send you yung survey na sinasabi. Sa mga andito na sa Perth at di pa nakakapagparegister sa Skilled Migration WA office, ito po mga kelangang documents sa pagpaparehistro: a copy of your signed SS or nomination agreement, passport, proof of your permanent WA address (lease agreement / utilities bills – gas/water/electricity/ etc), WA driver’s license.

Monday: 1PM – 4:30PM
Tuesday: 8:30AM – 12:00PM
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 8:30AM – 12:00Pm
Friday: Closed

@clickbuddy2009 just a month ago, i asked them if ok i email ko lang mga reqts, tapos ok dw, they even confirmed my registration after ko ma email

"We have updated your file to show your Australian address and this completes your registration with this office.
Please notify us of any future address changes via email."

pero bka they reconsidered lang, kc sinabi ko i have 2 toddlers in tow..

Galaw galaw Perthy peeps. Hahaha... Sarap maglakad ng 2kms from office to st. Georges terrace. Hirap magOT, napapalakad ng malayo sa gabi. Super lamig pa naman sa labas. Hayzz..

Kelan next EB? Uwi na kami ng SG sa July12. Baka September na ulit ang balik dito. Sakto lang para sa spring time, sarap magphotoshoot sa botanic garden.
