    hello guys, kadarating lang naming kahapon sa melbourne yesterday, today nag-register kami sa medicare at centrelink at TFN (online), bought our sim cards para ma update na for job applications. tomorrow activation naman ng aming bank account sa NAB then may interview kami sa isang manpower agency na nischedule ng centrelink, try lang baka maihanap kami work. tulungan din daw about CV format etc etc. hanap hanap na din akmi job online. :D

    actually, kami rin, we have good jobs here in SG. may counter offer pa nga si hubby nung nag resign siya...but we're risking it for a better quality of life. We are praying it works out well for us.

    yeah, family of 3. our son is only 3 years old. sabi naman kasi nun relatives namin dito, yeah maybe may work kami pareho pero yung future ng anak mo mas secure ditto compared kung nasa SG or Pinas kami. may mga benefits na kami at magclaim na online. so kahit wala work may magagastos hehe although nasa relatives ko kami nag stay kaya siguro for me madali lang mag move dito, unlike kung wala talaga at magstart kayo on your own, risky talaga.

    actually, kami rin, we have good jobs here in SG. may counter offer pa nga si hubby nung nag resign siya...but we're risking it for a better quality of life. We are praying it works out well for us.
    for sure it will work for all of us here but sipag lang at tiyaga! hindi pa dumdating un box namin from astro movers kasi mga 5 weeks daw yun tapos maquarantine pa yun dito for sure. yung mga relatives ko dito maganda din mga position nila dati sa pinas, ganun yung sinabi samin na iba yung quality of life dito. ako di ko pa naman nararamdaman kasi bago palang naman kami pero sa mga benefits na nababasa ko ang layo sa pinas or sg :D
    apply na ako learners license para makabili na car, hirap wala kotse dito haha pero ok din naman ang transpo parang sa SG din, nun nag tourist kasi kami before never namin natry un bus at train kasi may nagddrive for us.

    @IslanderndCity From SG, uwi muna kami Manila saglit to see our families lang muna kasi matagal tagal bago namin ulit sila makita eh. Big move is mid-August :) medyo nakaka-excite nga yung paghihintay dyan sa CO and finally sa grant! Frontloaded everything na para wala na hingin pa! Pero na-notice ko yung sa iba medyo hindi na ganun ka bilis? or baka may mga delays lang sa pag upload yung iba.

    @rooroo Sydney-bound muna kami. Will stay with friends hanggang magkawork and makahanap na kami ng own place namin. Yung mga gamit namin, napadala na namin dun sa mga friends namin para pagdating namin sa August eh, baka sabay lang ang dating namin. :)

    I would say it is a risk; if the immigration officer would see that you hold a migrant visa, they would probably ask and look for your CFO sticker.

    magkano po pwede pocket money na AUD during flight from Manila to Melbourne airport? ano mga expected na gagastusin? i will be buying AUD currency na dito sa Phils, 41.20 ang selling rate sa czarina. im planning to have atleast 1000 AUD pocket money.

    with regards to baong pera naman, i will be exchanging my peso to my friend who is already in OZ (tru BPI online). she is regularly sending money kase to her family in the phils. hassle free. :)

    @dhey_almighty - as far as i know nagbabago selling rate nila daily. i just called a while sa mga banks and czarina, sa czarina ang lowest, 41.20 ang selling rate nila today. according to czarina, wala sila available AUD today so i need to reserve daw 3 days before. sa makati branch nila ako magpapalit. when pala flight mo tsaka saan destination? :)
