    2nd week of January 2015, I will be moving to Sydney and my family will follow 2-3 months after. Napaaga ang move dahil IED is not what we expected it to be. Tsaka hoping my family can move there before winter. Quite excited, anxious basta mixed feelings. :D

    Paano ba kayo nag-decide guys... parang ang nakakatakot kasi mag-Big Move hehe andaming trade-offs like yung maiipon ko pa sa current work ko if I stay vs. baka wala naman akong maging work agad sa Oz and maubos yung naipon... Not being pessimistic and all… just laying down all the cards…

    Yup its a big trade off. Two years ago my mindset was already out of Singapore na, when i got a senior auditor role in Ottawa Ontario in Canada. but because of LMO problems hindi natuloy inspite of signed job offer. I started and submitted my visa applications in Australia in 2013 and got approval Feb 2014. Gusto2 ko na talaga pumunta ng Australia and start new life. But i still have 1 year to pay my condo amortisation sa pinas, credit card debts, urgent IED requirements, and other financial/ personal problems. So i need to be patient and solve my problems one by one muna. Ako lang kasi sole source of income plus medyo magastos sa Australia. There will be problems not only finding job but also looking for accomodations. Mas madali kapag single eh, pwede ka maki bed space anytime.

    Decisions basically is nabayaran ko na utang ko lahat, and we have funds to survive atleast 4-5 months without jobs. I knew that my 1 month salary here in Singapore will be equivalent to 1-1.5 months of opportunity to stay in Australia without work. Ideally kung kaya ko pa i delay sana ung big move mas ok. Mahirap mag decide pero the more na dini-delay big move eh parang dini-delay ko din ung buhay namin family to be together. Sayang yung pera pero nagdecide ako mag Australia kami not because of money kasi if pera habol ko eh mag stay nalang ako Singapore then uwi ng pinas kapag marami na naipon. God helps us to get visa in Australia, so i'm sure di nya rin kami pababayaan duon. Other than financials, equally important din mental, psychological and physical preparations. We need to make our big move sooner or later naman din, and we need to start it As soon as possible. Every month na wala pa kami sa Australia is a wasted opportunity. I just hope na i can find a job before moving there, pero if not then so be it, May 2015 is the date.

    @vhoythoy thanks sa inputs... parang displaced aggression pala yung nangyari sayo since kamuntik ka na sa Canada, kaya ngayon mas nakakagigil yung matuloy agad sa Australia.

    Ako naman, my brother is a citizen in Canada also, but for some reasons, laging nabbulilyaso yung mga plans naming na makasunod ako doon, and ngayon na PR na ko sa Oz, dun ko lang na-realize na ito pala ang para sa akin talaga kaya hindi natuloy yung Canadian Dream hehe.

    Pero yun, we are all in the same boat ika nga, yung iba nga lang, mas malaki yung boat or may yateng dala hehehe (kaya essentially we are not on the same boat hehe)... pinapalakas ko na nga lang yung loob ko na some of us probably are in a better situation than other migrants, for instance hindi lang naman lahat about financial ang concern, meron ding nahihirapan mag-decide dahil may personal issues or responsibilities na pwedeng iiwanan sa pinas…

    On the other hand, tama ka rin na the more the Big Move is being pushed out, meron din nawawala satin one way or another. Kaya leap of faith talaga ang mangyayari.. and very risky one.

    Yup, atleast kahit hindi ako natuloy sa Canada eh nafully paid ko condo ko sa pinas, nabayaran ko credit cards/ utang ko lahat, at nakasama ko pa grand parents ko (nagpalaki sa akin) at naasikaso libing nila before kami mag migrate. So maraming iisipin at bigat ng kalooban ang nawala. Pero two years ago it was all Canada for me, Australia is my second choice. Yun na un eh, approved job offer, good salary, very active in canada forum (lbautista), no local exp/ hardships for me in Canada sana. Planning/ dreaming to study French, watching live NBA games, travel to US, etc. basically living a Canadian dream. I have met the employer in KL, processed my CPA Canada requirements (medyo nagastusan din ako dito), all is set. Plane ticket nalang sana hinihintay ko as i thought kasing dali makakuha ng work permit dun like here in SG. He even hired immigration lawyer to help getting lmo and process work pass. Pero mahirap nung time na un dahil sa mga scandals on securing work permit, then hindi ako makaapply ng fsw kasi wala accountant sa list.

    I have submitted my assessment in vetasses for Australia as back up. Hanggang sa na frustrate nko, depression sets in, pati sa Australia 15% increased in fees, additional payments for spouse/ child so from AUD3,060 lang ata kaming lahat naging AUD 6,160 LOLs. Parang somethings not right. Pero natuloy pa din sa Australia, means dun tlaga ako. May reason siguro kaya di din ako natuloy sa Canada, haha

    regarding PDOS/CFO, after New year nangpunta kami sa CFO ofc naghintay ng almost 2.5hrs tapus sabi na sa visa type namin hindi na daw requeired and PDOS..subclass visa 489 kami skilled reg sponsored (provisional)..though and route naman namin ay from pinas to sg (mnl-sg 2 way booking) the 1 way nalang pa Adelaide....anybody had the same experience na same subclass visa at di na nag PDOS from pinas???

    Actually wala akong displaced aggression towards Canada. I know Canada will accept me din kung hindi lang wrong timing and due to unfavourable circumstances that time. The more na hindi ako natuloy, the more na mas na challenge ako and i will try it again soon thats for sure. Ganun kasi ako kapag may gusto i will not stop until i get it (unless its hopeless case talaga). Nag-open ung Accountant this year for FSW dun and kung sarado Australia for sure magsusubmit ako ng visa application dun. Kaya now i still have plans to go to Canada, or maybe US, but not for the next 5 years. I will re-evaluate my plans after i got the Australian Visa. Kasi now, everything is set for me and my family to try and live our lives in Australia. Baka magustuhan ko din and baka para dun talaga kami. Long term plans, possibly nman mabago as the years go by. Baka kapag nagustuhan ko ung lugar, tao, pamumuhay at makabili ng bahay, eh baka magpunta nalang ako sa Canada/US as tourist. Mas may displaced aggression pa nga ako dito sa SG for the twice rejections of PR applications and downgrade of may E pass to Spass smh. Medyo mahigpit na din talaga, and kadalasan na single out pa ang pinoy dito lalo na sa mga forums/ internet sites. Someone even sent a letter to their PM na bawasan na ang mga pinoy dito. But i am very thankful for this country and i dont want to blame locals nman. But I really wanted to go out na here talaga.

    @piglet24 pag single 10k AUD and above daw sabi nung immigration officer sa kakilala ko. pero sabi ng pinsan kong nasa sydney kahit mga 200k petot pwede na daw. pero para mas safe, magdala na ng at least 1M petot siguro.hehe

    Maximum stay ko po is 3 weeks lang. Do you think enough na po ba ito?
