The term, “To Date” cannot be used as the end date of the employment reference. - Medyo confused ako dito.. Pano po ba ito? Kasi I was able to secure a COE (generic) sa company namin pero last May 9 pa ito.. So anong date ang pwede kong ilagay?
If currently employed with the company, the end date will be the date the COE was issued.

Ask for an updated employer reference, indicate the current date as end date. then lagay mo for example: 30-June-2014 (to date).

You can also do that, but why bother? According to the ACS guidelines (Page 12)

- Employment references can only be calculated until the date of submission. The “To Date” will be taken from the employment reference date or the submission date of your application – whichever comes first.

From 1 July 2014, if a skills assessment is mandatory as part of a visa application, that assessment will only be valid for a period of three years from the date of issue, unless a shorter validity period is specified on the assessment.

A skills assessment must be valid at the time of lodgement for the following visas:

Direct Entry stream of the Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 186) visa
Direct Entry stream of the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visa
Graduate Work stream of the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa.
A skills assessment must be valid at the time of invitation to apply through SkillSelect for the following visas:

Skilled—Independent (subclass 189) visa
Skilled—Nominated (subclass 190) visa
Skilled Regional (Provisional) (subclass 489) visa.
These changes do not affect the Temporary Work (Skilled)(subclass 457) visa.

Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
The SOL is relevant for applicants for:

independent points-based skilled migration who are not nominated by a state or territory government agency
a Family Sponsored points-based skilled visa
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) - Graduate Work stream.
Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL)
The CSOL is relevant for applicants for:

points-based skilled migration who are nominated by a state or territory government agency under a State Migration Plan
the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS), who must have been nominated by an Australian employer to fill a position in an occupation that appears in the CSOL
the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457)
the Training and Research visa (subclass 402).
Summary of changes
The following changes will apply to applications made for the above visas on or after 1 July 2014.

Occupations added to the SOL

The following occupations will be added to the SOL:

Chef (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) 351311)
Bricklayer (ANZSCO 331111)
Wall and Floor Tiler (ANZSCO 333411)
Occupations added to the CSOL

The following occupations will be added to the CSOL:

Hydrogeologist (ANZSCO 234413)
Exercise Physiologist (ANZSCO 234915)
Changes to occupation titles

The following titles will be changed:

Ship's Surveyor will be titled Marine Surveyor (ANZSCO 231215)
General Medical Practitioner will be titled General Practitioner (ANZSCO 253111)
Changes to assessing authorities

For new applications for the above visas made on or after 1 July 2014, new assessing authorities will be specified for the following occupations:

Nurse Manager (ANZSCO 254311): Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC)
Nurse Educator (ANZSCO 254211): ANMAC
Nurse Researcher (ANZSCO 254212): ANMAC.
Marine Transport Professional not elsewhere classified (ANZSCO 231299): Vocational Education and Training Assessment Services (VETASSESS)

Ngayon ko lang napansin, parang contradicting itong 2 statements:
1) Employment references can only be calculated until the date of submission.
2) The “To Date” will be taken from the employment reference date or the submission date of your application – whichever comes first.

In most cases, Emp Ref date is earlier than the Submission Date. But why would ACS calculate up to date of Submission?
What if:
Skilled Date-Dec2013
Emp Ref date-Mar2014
Submission Date-Jun2014

Using statement #1, the calculation would be from Jan2014 up to Jun2014=6 months
Using statement #2, the 'To Date' would become Mar2014 (whichever comes first) but this is irrelevant because of statement #1. Calculation will still be made based on the submission date, Jun2014. What if jobless si applicant from Apr2014-Jun2014? 6 months pa rin ang maccredit sa kanya?

Pakicorrect na lang kung tama ang understanding ko.

I think they're just covering their bases para no questions asked incase the applicant submits a COE with a typo on the date? Or perhaps this applies to resubmissions of COEs if the assessor asks for a more detailed job description.

Hi, question lang po sa

For Statutory Declaration/Employment reference, Ano ang supervisory level na pwede gumawa? Pwede ba ang Team Lead ko? or Manager ko lang? Pano kung ang direct Manager ko ay not based in the Philippines? Pwede bang ibang Manager na naging manager ko na rin noon pero alam naman yong roles/responsibilities ko?

@altuser41 Equivalent to Bachelors Degree naman yung assessment sa course ko.

nakalist nga lahat ng experience ko (from 2002) pero sa introduction, employment after june 2007 lang ang consider relevant sa Analyst Programmer.

But may disclaimer din sa later part na DIBP pa rin ang final decision sa awarding ng points. Ibig ba sabihin noon pwede pa magiba yung years of experience pagdating sa EOI. Pero sa EOI tayo maglalagay ng years na gusto natin i claim am I right?

Kung 5 years ang nabawas sa inyo and at Bachelor's level ang qualification niyo, it means minor ang ICT content ng course niyo based sa criteria:

but since 2002 pa ang start ng employment niyo, ang alam ko yung last 10 years lang ang kinoconsider ng ACS, so 2004-2014. Kaso tricky din kasi kung Jun 2007 ang skilled date ninyo, that would mean 3 years deduction. E wala namang 3 years sa Criteria.

If you don't mind, currently employed po ba kayo? May in-between gap po ba ang employment ninyo?

Hubby got his skills assessment result today. I doubt if he could claim for educational qualifications he got AQF Associate Degree for his B.S. Comp. Sci. major in computing. Alam ko lang AQF Diploma 10pts...tama po ba ako? Tapos sa working exp. eto yung phrase...The ff. employment after Nov. 2005 is considered to equate to work an appropriately skilled level, dates 11/99-04/12(12yrs. 5mths.) Yung Accenture working exp. Not Accessable due to Insufficient detail. We did not submit working reference for Accenture. Pki correct po 7yrs. yung pwede nya i-claim...thanks!

Nov 2005 - present = hindi ba continuous yung work nya? kasi if from 2005, may 8 years na yun.

Pag ba nag-add ka ng experience for assessment, magbayad ulit yun sa ACS?

Kaya lang parang Solution Architect na present project nya now sa Accenture kasama sa more than 2yrs. nya since nag start sya ng work dito. May bearing kaya sa System Admin kung magpa reassessment kmi para to add up sa working exp. nya?

@BeBBang sis and J_Oz, Saan ba start ng count sa experience sa Nov. 2005 at hindi Nov. 2006 kasi fr. 2005-06 is 1yr. so on until Apr. 2012. Following year kasi Not Assesable na due to Insufficient Detail.

@J_Oz, tama po yata 10pts. lang sa educ. qualification kasi pwede rin nmang mag fall dun sa last phrase ng ACS "You have attained a qualification or award recognised by the relevant assessing authority in determining your skills for your nominated occupation." Eto lang sa work o Overseas Employment medyo nalito nako kasi, saan ba ang start ng count Nov. 2005 mismo o 2006 na para sa 1yr. Tapos yung 1yr. ng 2012 natapos April pa hindi Nov. so kulang sya sa 1yr. sa dulo. Hirap kasi mag oveclaim sa points, ground for visa refusal.

Kung yung sa Accenture is he's working sa nominated occupation nya, I think it's ok to submit a review application. Pero kung hindi naman, it will not be of any bearing sa points nyo. Yan po ang aking opinion.

@BeBBang sis, tingin ko tama nman lahat opinyon mo. Sa skilled employment Nov. 2005-Apr. 2012 equivalent to 6yrs. nga and 4mos. Tapos sa Accenture mukha nga walang bearing kasi Technology Architect hindi pala Solution Architect which is quite far from his work in his ex Telco company so tama wala ngang bearing. Sa computation ko sa migration points-Age-15, Overseas Employment-10, Educ. Qualification-10, subclass 190-5, IELTS-need 20pts. at least 8.0 OBS. para lang at least mka 60pts. Thanks! for helping and shedding light

Sis @BeBBang, dba yung regional sponsorship hindi pa sya PR visa pero kung para tumaas yung points pwede rin. Tsaka yung regional after sometime kpa makapag apply ng PR. Hindi kmi pwede maka claim sa Centrelink, advanatage din sa family kung PR visa agad. Pki korek po kung mali. Sa partners points kasi kelangan rin ng assessment sa part ko tsaka sis, few years after pa po akong nag stop mag work just for my kids wayback 2011 nagplan po akong magpa assess sa VETASSESS mas mahal kesa ACS dati po around AUD600 sila noon yung ACS400 something lang. Well anyway po big thank u sa suggestions nyo. Perhaps if we could not gain points anywhere from DIBP book 6 checklist your suggestions will be our resort

@heyits7me_mags ay oo, hindi nga sya PR. Im not sure kung after 2 years or after 4 years ka pa makapag-apply ng PR pag visa 489 ka. support mo po lagi si hubby mo sa pag-review ng IELTS. Sabayan mo para di sya tamarin. I believe naman na doable ang IELTS, seryosong practice lang ang kelangan.

nareceive ko na po yung assessment from ACS after 2 weeks. AQF bachelors degree major in computing.

kaso hindi nacredit yung unang experience ko from 2007 to 2011 due to insufficient details daw.
starting May 2013 lang ang counted sa akin dito sa current work ko, so 1 year exp nalang.
detailed naman yung job description and halos same content nung work ko ngayon.
questions:
1. pwede ko po ba ipare-assess?
2. may additional payment po ba?
3. pwede po ba ako kumuha ng additional proof from the company para macount yung experience?
