@jjames_gagniyahoo same case tayo sir, pero S pass kami dito ni misis and our daughter is in the pinasland right now. Actually we were looking at Option 1 but it seems very lame kasi and impulsive. Sayang ang pinaghirapan ng buong taon tapos nganga pa sa Au pagdating.

Will 5 days good enough for initial entry? Limited kasi ang leave namin ni misis.

5 minutes daw enough na sa initial entry. Basta na key in sa DIAC database na naka pasok ka na considered naka initial entry ka na!

@sonsi_03 pwede na yung option 2 bossing. May murang pamasahe Scoot, SG to Perth, 149 dollars yata, kahit over the weekend lang para no need to apply leave. Yung medicare, centrelink, tfn pwede naman yan sa final move nyo na gawin. Goodluck and godbless bossing!

Salamat po sa advice chief! Yung centrelink at medicare ba kelangan sa sponsoring state mag apply kung halimbawa sa brisbane ang port of entry namin?

Hi fellow Sg based friends, isang survery question lang po para makatulong sa akin makapag-decide. Medyo mahirap ibalanse lang po kasi. I know mostly namili rin sa 2 situations na ito.

Option 1: Resign and leave the little red dot, punta na sa Au ang primary applicant wife and child stays in Phils wait for primary applicant to get his job. or,

Option 2: Make an initial entry 3 of us, then settle centrelink and medicare (a little bit of family holiday) then come back to Sg continue working (get bonus and AWS) then leave sg for good by Jan next year.

Then if initial entry, minimum how many days to apply for leave?

I appreciate your inputs into this concern, I know it is a no-brainer po but I just wanted to make sure that once we decide we are in the track. Maraming salamat po.

@sonsi_03 What if
Option 3: continue working (get bonus and AWS) then leave SG by Jan next year for initial entry and for good na din?

@sonsi_03 medyo mahirap pag wala local experience, lalo na sa linya ko, draftsman konti pa opening. Dami din naretrench kasi nagsasara mga company. Madami part time pero palakasan din, referral ba.

Tinanong ko na rin ang agent ko sabi niya good enough na ang 5 days, di lang sure kung yung registration sa centrelink at medicare eh magkakasya ang 5 days, so nagbabasa basa pa rin ng mga impormasyon. Bale sa Brisbane muna ang tuloy namin sa initial entry tapos balik Sg.

@sonsi_03 kung sila may-ari ng bahay, pwede siguro. kung nagrirenta din, at di alam ng landlord, risky, pero meron mga nagpopost ng room rental dito, abang ka lang.

^guys basta wag niyo sagarin yung IED ha. consider niyo din, 5 years lang yang PR, then either apply for citizenship or PR renewal. Ngayon kung mag enter kayo na less than 4 years na lang natitira sa PR niyo...hindi na option mag apply for citizenship afterwards. Magrerenew na naman kayo as PR. Plus kokonti na lang yung allowable time for you guys to take vacations sa Manila in the future (if ever) kasi nga may mga restrictions din yan.

@czha yup, eto naging main consideration namin why we decided to move earlier than planned. if sagarin namin yun one full year, baka hindi na kami makapag-vacation sa Manila in 4 yrs straight!

One Suggestion: Kung may SG Driver's license ka on your initial entry, ipa-convert/transfer mo na agad during your initial entry. Unless makabalik ka within 3 months of your initial entry to do the convertion. Most states will not allow convertion after 3 months of initial entry.

Kung wala ka pa SG driver's license but qualified ka naman mag convert from PH to SG license, I suggest you get your SGP Driver's license first.

Super newbiew here, baka lang sakaling may mabuting loob na willing mag share ng CDR for Production or Plant Engineer - ANZSCO 233513. Mag take palang ako ng IELTS next month. Lately lang nagkainterest na mag apply after my visit sa Sydney few weeks ago. At na encourage ako lalong mag apply after mag basabasa dito sa forum.

@sonsi_03 my two cents..
opt1 is ideal if you have about 70-90% chances of landing a good job. Sa ngayon dry ang paghahanap sa AU ng work, and they are looking for at least 1 yr local experience. Example ng 70-90% chances is pag employer mo sa SG meron AU office at pde ka apply thru them, or in demand skills mo na within 3 mos may tatangap na syo. kaya dapat may sufficient baon na pang worst case scenario kahit ikaw muna mauuna dun. Kagandahan ng opt1 is makkapagsettle ka na before your dependents goes there, not so difficult adjustments na lang for them.

sa opt2 naman mas oks esp. kung may work ka pa matino (at gusto mo, hehe) sa SG. dagdag baon din yun sasahurin mo pa and pde ka naman na maghanap work while in SG before the BIG move. Madali lang daw maregister ang mga needed registrations for new PRs kahit for short visit, even as short as your planned 5 days (this is based sa mga friends ko andun na).

bottomline, if you want to enjoy PRship sa AU pagdating dun, job ang mahalagang masecure mo muna. Lalo pa naka-190 ka, limited to SA work yun aapplyan mo. I'm sharing this kse may mga kakilala ako hirap maghanap ng work khit mganda work history nila, and palabas lahat ng pera while job hunting. Madali magdecide pag single, pero pag tulad natin may family na, eh mas ok maestablish muna yun tuloy na pasok ng income para happy ;-)

I think ang ibig sabihin nyan is, basta meron kang straight na 1year na nde lumabas ng AU in your entire 4 yrs dun, not necessarily na 4yrs dun na walang alisan.

e.g. 2yrs ka naka-457 visa, then you became PR either 189/190, then you have to wait for another 2 years to cover your required 4yrs in AU, kung saan yung 1 year and 3 mos of which is dapat nasa AU ka lang (eto yun sa stmt na not have been absent for 1yr and 90days in the present year before applying for citizenship). Siguro any AU citizen na here can validate this. hehe

will be officially leaving the little red dot for the land down under next year
by the way, i wonder kung merong currently both SG PR and AU PR. we don't know kasi if we have to give up yung SG PR namin prior to moving.

You dont have to give up ung SG PR mo sir. Pwede syang sabay base sa current policy ng both countries. Just to share ung friend ko both SG PR eh nagmigrate din sa OZ ung hubby lang nag give ng PR while ung wife niya is still holding SG PR. Most of my friend na SG base na PR is hindi muna nag give ng SG PR nila. Nag settle down muna ng husto sa OZ before they give ung SG PR nila.
