Student Visa (Step by step)

Hello!

I'm here to seek advice regarding my student visa application. Just to give you a background of my situation, I have been to Australia once this year on a tourist visa to visit my girlfriend. We have since then decided to move in together but decided to go to the student visa route first to see if I'll like it there. I have recently acquired my eCoE so I am now just trying to put together all the requirements I need for the VISA application.

1. I studied Mass Communication in the Philippines but worked as an Office Manager in a small business for 3 years. At present, I am a Multi-Media Designer at a school. The course I enrolled for in Australia is Diploma in Management. Do you think that would be a problem? Can anyone offer things and strong points to mention on my application to help me justify why I am taking Management?

2. If I have enough funds on my personal bank account, should that be sufficient for the application? I do not make much money but the money was put there by my parents and we are just waiting for the 3 month mark to lodge the application. Also, will I need to get an Affidavit of Financial Support from my parents or is a Statutory Declaration that I have enough on my account good enough?

About naman po sa show money dapat po talaga 3months old na sa bank tapos kung ikaw or parents mo yung sponsor need mo mag secure ng mga documents na valid docs like kung working ikaw or parents mo need nyo mag provide ng itr at certificate of employments with details ng salary range kung business naman ikaw or parents mo need mo magpasa ng business permit at the same time itr sinisilip kasi nila yung kapasidad ng tao kung income ba nila talaga yung nasa bank, good luck po and god bless you.

@agentKams ....no she didn't have rpl....she has to go through with all the subjects.....if you study MPA then just your dependent will have unlimited work rights....for the primary visa holder he/she will be allowed to work 40 hours/forthnight...and unlimited during school holidays...

@markier87 hi! Hndi.. Nasa sydney ako.. Nag student visa ako ppunta dito.. D ko alam na pwd pa lang isama ung partner.. Hndi ko sya na declare coz hndi nman kmi legally married.. My idea kba kng pwd ko pa mpa amens yun?

@danyan2001us boss. dan tanong ko lang po kasi yung isang sponsor namin yung pera niya sa bank naopen ng april 2014 nag 3 months siya ng july 2014 e walang transaction kaya ng nakuha namin yung bank statement niya interest lang yung pumapasok na pera dun, sa tingin niyo o.k lang po ba yun? Pero pera niya talaga yun na pinagsamsama, salamat god bless to all.

@dreamprayhard84 ...just be sure that when you submit the bank statement or certification, the details on the bank will reflect the latest balance (July 2014)...good luck....

follow up question, san pong uni kumuha ng MPA program si wifey at ilang years? May iba kasing MPA na 1.5 years lang, eh diba iyong 485 visa requirment at least 2 yrs study in Australia or not necessary.

@agentKams ....youre welcome bro...sa federation university siya kumuha ng MPA nya dito sa CBD Melbourne...oo meron MPA sa kanila na 1.5 years...at tama ka rin na ang need para maqualify ka to apply for pr after studeis ay 2 years pero you can take the 1.5 MPA if may 6 months or more ka naman sa iba pang kurso.....like sa case ni mrs may 2 years siya sa advanced diploma dito sa accounting at ngayon 2 years na naman sa MPA...so if ang kinuha nya ay 1.5 MPA program ay ok lang din sana yon.....

@agentKams ..hehe sori sis...kasi agent ang alias mo kaya i thought na guy hehe...anyway suggest ko for you na diretso for MPA para maa minus ka sa gastos....sa knila mrs sa federation university ay 9000$ per semester......kasama ba si hubby or partner mo?

@danyan2001us yup family kami kuya with 1 toddler. still deciding kung melbourne or brisbane kami. based kami dito sa Papua New Guinea dito kasi work namin. Sorry medyo OT na. hahaha! by march2015 pa siguro kami maglodge, nagiipon pa ng bala.

@agentKams ...no..hindi yan ot...ok lang yan dito....anyway good luck for your plans....yong anak namin andon sa pinas pero dito siya pinanganak sa melbourne.....dito na kayo sa melbourne maganda dito......though bias ako dito kasi dito na kami for four years.....though not that familiar with brissy.....

I have been lurking in this forum for four months now...this is my first post. I too will soon be in the waiting game. My visa is to be lodged by IDP this coming Monday. Hoping and praying that we may be granted.

I have had my share of past failures and disappointment with regards to Canada FSW...please Lord, let this be it.

Thank God I found this forum! Hello Guys, so many questions kahit I have relative na tumutulong sa akin for my student visa. Hindi na din kasi kaya ng powers ko basahin yung buong thread, madami din pala aspiring students to Australia like me.

Pwede ba na dalawa yung sponsor mo? Kasi i-sponsor ako ng inlaw ko pero baka di din kasi kaya sa budget so yung Tita ko na nasa Sydney, i-sponsor din ako. Possible ba yun or dapat 1 lang sponsor ko?

@Yanna ...yes youre right magndan nga ang buhay dito....pero you need to adjust to so many things....anyway check this info para makita mo sino yong pwede maka sponsor sa iyo:

@Yanna ..i sent you a pm (re: sponsor)...then if you ask me...then better go and check with IDP...wala naman silang bayad but you can do it in your own.....kagaya namin the last 2 student visa applications namin ay kami lang ang gumawa dito sa melbourne...anyway may check list naman.....just continue reading the threads here on student visa at marami ka matutunan......

Sige po Kuya. Will set an appointment this week. Actually nakausap na namin yung IDP pero my husband as primary applicant. Nagbago kasi kami and now, ako na yung primary applicant.
