    Sorry for the late rep. I tried mga 2 months before may inapplyan ako 2 jobs pero gusto nila onshore so d na ulit ako nag attempt.
    Pagdating dito esp in IT ha, napakaspecific nila sa skillset. Minsan pag wala ka lang nun isang skill kahit na same na same sa role mo, d ka mshortlist. Pero tyagaan din. If u have enough funds to sustain yourself here, mas ok din na wait nyo na yung dream job nyo. If not, odd job is still a descent job and will definitely help u make a living.
    Mukhang specific nga sila sa skillset, kse sabi nun isang nagreply sakin may skills daw sila hanap.. aask ko sana kung anong skills ba, baka kase break-dancing, hehe.
    Anyway, thanks @rooroo. Mukhang we really need to plan to go and scout from there na.

    its not really in line sa work ko or sa gusto kong work, mga around 20% engineering pero oks lang...hinde naman ako namimili ng work...its a living ika nga.. :-)

    **nagpa RPL ako para makakuha ng certain Certifications para makapenetrate sa mining industries kase most job ads nila e needed ng certifications... pikit mata na lang sa gastos :-)

    Hi @LakiMasel - actually, ako rin nagtrtry mag-apply and submit application via seek.com.au..First application ko, turned-down. Iniisip ko, dahil kaya wala ako sa AU? Feeling ko kasi kapag nakita na nila philippine number nilagay ko..di na sila nag-eentertain. Ganun kaya iyun?
    Parang ganun nga po siguro, parang nakakatakot naman i-risk kasi na pumunta dyan agad. haaay..

    As long as you have the right visa (working rights), and qualified for the job, employers and recruitment agencies will contact you! I experienced this before. So try and try!

    Anyways, they will also ask for your availability just in case they will offer you the job.
    It is a + for you if you are here in Australia already since they would prefer their would-be employee settled already and will be focus on his/her job the very first day.

    Try not only seek.com.au - get to the corporate websites and look for openings. This is the path I took. :)

    uhm, as per advice na rin ng mga friends ko dito...actually, ang sabi ng iba, kahit wala na daw kung 457 ka, since may work ka na pag dating dito...pero kung PR visa ka at wala ka pang work pagdating dito, its your decision na kumuha since most of the job ads dito e hinihingi nila na may certain certifications or ticket ka para ihire ka nila...pero kung PR ka at nasa pinas ka pa lang e may naghire na sayo...swerte ka...lalo na kung mataas na agad ang offer sayo...

    in summary, this RPL, tickets, certifications e pandagdag bala sa CV mo para makakuha ka agad ng work dito sa Oz na maganda at tugma sa profession at sa work experience mo... :-)

    Thank You po Lord!!! I got a job today, first day ko tom, cleaner sa isang maliit na hotel. Actually cpa ako satin, katulad nyo mataas ang expectation ko nung dmating me, kala ko competent n ko s iba since professional ako s pinas but wrong! Since April i've tried applying on ofis jobs evem receptionist admin but lots of rejections. Then last few months ng try ako mg apply s odd jobs. Kgabi lang ako ngsubmit ng resume s email nkita ko ung ad s newspaper. This am i received a col, had an interview and thats it, today is my lucky day rate is not that high but mkakatulong k mister pra s pang araw2 nming gastos at syempre may mpapadala n support s family ko s pinas.

    God is good all the time. Patience lang at prayer guys. Good luck s lahat ng job hunters, keep the faith.

    @jepoy527 accounting resume ginamit ko. Ang swerte ko lang kasi may mga filipino staff ung hotel tas mgaling dw magwork ang pinoy sbi nung ng interview skin. Dun cguro sila ng base wla nga akong past experience as cleaner haha. Sabi nya ok lang kasi may training dw ako 2 weeks, ang ask lang nya kung nglilinis ako sa bahay, syempre oo lols. I'm sure ma eenjoy ko bagong career ko isipin ko na lang ngexercise ako lols.

    10 Dec 13: Nomination approved
    15 Jan 14: VISA GRANT! Thank You Lord God...
    15 Mar 14: Arrival in OZ
    18 Apr 14: Start of job hunting, help me again Lord...
