Hi! We're planning to apply to australia thru agency. My fiancee and I are here in Dubai. We want to know if how much is the salary range of a draftsman/designer in australia? Is it worth it if we will leave Dubai and try our luck in Australia? We'll appreciate ur comments and suggestions. Thanks!

    @Christel
    i believe that salary in australia is much higher than that of dubai, as mentioned by @admin, you can check the salary guide given, and another thing, salary varies in locations, regional is lower than that in a city due mainly i believe to cost of living...and another thing in australia you'll have the change to live permanently and eventually become a citizen...many here i believe will agree to that...

    you don't necessarily need an agency if you want to try your luck in australia..if you have the skills and experiences you can apply directly to some companies who actually sponsored people into coming to australia on a working visa

    For Civil/Structural engineering draftsperson, napansin ko, parang Melbourne ata ang may pinakamalaking offer ng salary. Is it because mataas din ang cost of living dun? Napansin ko rin mas mataas ang salary ng engineering kesa archi draftsman, same din dito sa SG. Good thing, napunta ako sa engineering field after graduation. haha..

    @marc_chrono well, depende sa line of work to which your into. Draftsman not necessarily trade graduates, most of them were engineering graduates. Here in SG, a lot of arki grads were employed as draftsman, same goes with mechanical engineer becoming piping designers. You maybe a mechanical engineering graduate but if ur line of work differ from ur proffesion, then it will be assessed differently.

    Hello po.. I've been staying in Thailand for almost a year now and i work as Autocad Operator/Draftsman in an Interior Designed Company. and i have 2 years of Experience in doing Autocad Works. But my profession is not in the line of Engineering, I graduated as IT. and just study vocational course in Technical Drafting (NC-II) in TESDA. ang tanong ko lang po, Is it possible for me to work in Australia although my profession is not fit to my work? coz i'm really interested to go there..

    Hello mga Sir/Ma'am,
    I'm currently a Mall Engineer( manages operations ang maintenance of the facilities/equipment of the building) here in Pinas. Im a licensed Mechanical Engineer. Hingi lang po ako advice. Though 1 year palang ang experience ko, i dream of working in OZ. Do you think it is wise to pursue facilities engineering if i want to work in australia? Im also taking my girlfriend ( soon to be my wife) who is a CPA with me. Should I shift to a different industry like design engineering? piping? oil and gas or construction? Please help po. This is my dilemma right now. We are planning to migrate 5 years from now. Earn experience as much as we can.
