Good morning po, newbie here. May tanong lang po sana ako, sana po may makasagot. Ganito po ang sitwasyon ko. May invitation to apply for visa 189 na ako, mage-expire on Oct. 28.

    Hi all,

I came from Indonesia but I have been reading this forum for a bit and couldn't help to register to ask a few questions regarding TRA. All answers will be highly regarded :)

    1) I am planning to apply for TRA Migration Skills Assessment as Baker, and just wondering.. for everyone that had the assessment done through TRA MSA, how and what do normally they do/check? Did they call your employers? Did they have an agent come to your workplace?

    2) In Indonesia, for a small medium business (owned by the operator themself, and most of the time, not registered as a company), it is normal for them to not to provide such payslip available in an established company (or like the one in Australia), most of the time it is just a handwritten confirmation receipt with the shop stamp, the name of the giver and recipient, no details on tax paid, superannuation, and so on.

I understand that this matter can also be confirmed by the agency or the person liaising with TRA in assessing the application. But the question is will TRA accept such payslip as evidence?

    3) I have a combination of working experience from Australia and my country.. It is a bit complicated. So I have:
    a) 8 months part-time experience (380 hours) working as a baker before I earned my related qualifications in Australia, but I was paid under the minimum salary rate I would say.
    b) 10 months part-time experience (740 hours) working as a baker after I earned my related qualifications in Australia, but I would say that I was still underpaid.
    c) 2 years and 2 months (until today) working in Indonesia as a full time baker.

I am just wondering which of those 3 that will be counted for the minimum 3 years experience..Please advise..Because I need an information regarding the assessment since it can't be considered as cheap for me, thus, i want it to be successful in first run. Thanks again!

    May The Lord bless you!

    Hi all,

    1) I am planning to apply for TRA Migration Skills Assessment as Baker, and just wondering.. for everyone that had the assessment done through TRA MSA, how and what do normally they do/check? Did they call your employers? Did they have an agent come to your workplace? - this is an internal procedure for the skills assessing authority however based on my friends experience, case officers do verify in different ways. 1) they do online and cross database check. 2) they call the employers and verify your work information and 3) they email or call your referee to confirm some tasks at work or verify work details as well.

- i dont think it should be problem. the case officer however may request for additional documents such as tax assessment or any other evidence of your paid employment.

    - when you say part time, how many hours per week have you worked in Australia? They consider 20 hours per week as full time employment.

I am just wondering which of those 3 that will be counted for the minimum 3 years experience..Please advise..Because I need an information regarding the assessment since it can't be considered as cheap for me, thus, i want it to be successful in first run. Thanks again!

    May The Lord bless you!
I am not too familiar with TRA application but i have answered your Qs to the best of my knowledge. my answers are within your text above.

@Xiaomau82 thank you for such prompt reply! as for the employment.. I think in Australia, it is 38 hours perweek for fulltime. Depending on the way they calculate it, I might and might not be able to pass the skill assessment :( I can always wait for another 8 months approx and apply, but by then, I am not sure if my occupation would be still on the list..

    Hello everyone!

So thankful for having read this forum. Yung mga comments niyo are very helpful.

Just wanted to ask, regarding Subclass 189 application with spouse.
So pag ngrant yung visa na yun is same ba kayo ng visa type ng spouse (also 189) and privileges? My plan is to include my spouse sa initial application, then if approve ako na muna mauna before siya sumunod to get settled there sa Aus. How long can she still stay here sa country? And if pag pumunta ba siya dun to get her visa validated before the Initial Entry Date expires, can she stay for a week then come back again here sa Philippines until I get a permanent job?

Thank you guys sa mga sasagot. God bless!

@rjohndeguzman: hi there! base sa mga nabasa ko sa forum. the dependent has the same visa with the main applicant so kung visa 189 ang approve sa 'yo same visa will be grant to your wife. tapos and IED depends kung anong unang mag expire (NBI or medicals). your wife can accompany you for entry then pwede naman daw syang bumalik sa 'Pinas. if how long can she stau outside OZ (not yet sure about sa topic na ito, I'll let the experts answer). :)

you are correct. fulltime employment for TRA skills assessment must be atleast 38 hours.
You can always wait but as you mentioned, you wouldn’t know if your occupation would still be there in a year, 2 or 3 years from now. Maybe you can seek employer sponsorship if you don’t qualify as skilled migrant at the time being. I did a quick check on the occupations, and it appears that your occupation is quite in demand. Just try. :-) you can never tell unless you try.

    Hello everyone!
Magtatanong lang po regarding points-tests for Skilled-Independent Subclass 189 regarding Qualifications:

As stated sa website, yung Qualifications na Bachelor's Degree is already 15 points that can be awarded provided meron supporting evidence. How about yung skills assessment from a relevant skills assessment authority as a requirement (e.g. AIMS for Med Lab Scientists) may added points rin ba yun sa Qualifications category if may awarded points na for a BS Degree? Kasi meron dun description stating: "An award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation = 10 points"

Anybody who has an experience with this? Madadagdag ba sa points yung skills assessment if positive yung result?

    Thanks in advance!

@rjohndeguzman - read the EOI points system carefully... walang point ang skills assessment... that is the first requirement.. to have a positive skills assessment...

    ang may mga points:
    - age
    - ielts
    - education - na kailangan din ipa-assess kung equivalent sa AU Bachelor degree (before you can claim 15pts)..
    - work experience - you might be referring to this.. if your skills assessment is positive, they can provide decision on your work experience..

there is another thread for med techs.. please search, your assessing agency might have other requirements...

    Hi Guys..

Oks lang ba na gamitin ang NBI as long na hindi pa expire. Assuming mainvite ako sa Oct 27, pwede pa ba ang NBI ko na ang expiry date is March 2015 or kailangan kumuha ng bago?

@artagnan Yung Initial Entry Date (IED) kasi is depende sa expiration ng Medical or ng Overseas Police Clearances, whichever expires first..

Kaya sa case mo, once ma-approve ang visa mo, not later than March 2015 ang magiging IED mo

In my opinion, affidavit would suffice na.. otherwise mahirap ang process ng magpacorrect jan sa pinas. May nabasa ako article about that but I need to look for it, ill send it to you pagnahanap ko.

Thank you.. magiging maikli pala ang date. In case na ganun ang mangyari may limit ba ng stay sa IED? Pwede ba na mag one day/2 days lang ako sa Darwin or Perth?

On the other note: disappointing naman ung invite for Analyst Programmer last time, 4 days lang yung naging movement sa date of effect (Sept 16-Sept 20) lang from the 22 September. Oct 8 ang EOI ko malabo pa yata ako sa Oct 27 round :(

I know it's too early to plan but I would need your advise mga kapatid para sa aking peace of mind. :) Pasensya in advance at sobrang napaparanoid na ako.

I have an ongoing EA assessment and base sa current lead time I will receive the result around January 6 (Aja! In God's will).

Please help to assess my situation base on the projected timeline below (Uulitin ko po pasensya na at sobrang paranoid ako..)

    January 12 - submit EOI
February 23 - Invitation to apply
    February 24 - Lodge visa application (189 or 190)
February 27 - NBI and PCC application
March 2 - medical for dependent (husband and baby) --> my medical will be delayed until June kasi 1 mo. pregnant ako ngayon (happy pero super paranoid) also thinking of having the medical na may mga precautions na gagawin sa xray but I think ndi ko kaya magtake ng risk (nabasa ko dito sa forum na may gumawa nito last year ata. they waited for the first trimester bago nagpamedical si mrs.)
March 25 - upload NBI, PCC, medical result of dependent
    April 6 - CO allocation
June - submits my medical result with my second baby... :)

Pwede ba ung ganong situation maglodge na kami kahit delayed ang medical ko dahil preggy si ako? Or wait na makapanganak sa June before maglodge ng application?

Salamat in advance sa mga magrereply. Tama pala talagang nakakapraning maghintay.. hahaha..

    God bless! :)

agree with @lock_code2004 try alternative occupation like architectural draftsperson. pero ang prob with this occupation e currently NT lang ang open for sponsorship which recently e 489 lang ata binibigay nila kahit 190 apply mo and may more than 60 points ka.

meron pong tinatawg na Continuing Professional Devt (CPD) its a summary po ng mga Trainings, Certifications, and seminars you have attended na related sa nominated occupation mo. You will need to attach din you certificates mo for these. indi sia required pero depende sayo kung gusto mo isubmit.

Aside from proof of employment (reference letter is required). U need proofs for paid employment po kaya usually sa current work lng na payslip ang naisusubmit. If you have the last drawn salary sa COE mo ok n un.

Relative po dun sa question re. 15 pts. for education... Automatatic po bang i-aassess ng body yung education mo if equivalent sya into a bachelor's degree sa AU?

    Maraming salamat po. :)

Tanong ko lang din po ulit..

For example sa work assessment ng body ang result ay ganito:

3 yrs. lang total work experience ko pero 2 yrs. experience lang ang na-credit... So no chance na to claim yung points for work experience?

To answer your question, yes, it wouldn't be credited. But, what make you think that it will not be credited? Usually if it's closely related to your nominated occupation, it will be credited.

    You're a CPA right?

This is what I know. Regardless on where you graduate, your education will be qualified if you're a CPA. If not, your school needs to be in the top schools I believe.

If I happen to be giving wrong information, please feel free to correct and give us insights or advice on this one. Thanks and more power!
