Lack 5 Points in Assessment

Base on the points assessment, my husband's points is only 60 (included the 5pts from spouse since i also had my skills assessed and also took IELTS). We are not able to get 10pts from our Ielts since one of our bands is below 7.0. Anyway, we can increase our points. NSW state sponsorship is already closed and it requires DIAC points at least 65 also. Victoria requires 7.0 IELTS in each band for our skills. I checked also other states, either they don't have our skills from their list, or IELTS point requirement is 7.0 in each band, and special conditions apply. Any idea how can we still proceed

hmmm....nasa option nyo po ba ang mag-retake ng IELTS ang main applicant and aim for 7.0 for each band?

If I were you, I would wait for the new points system first. It will be out next month. Malay ninyo malaki ang babaguhin sa points system. Yung bagong occupation list nga wala pa rin e hehe

Kung may chance kang maka pag apply na katulad ng visa na mentioned above (457 state sponsored), in my opinion go ka na. Di natin sigurado ano talaga magiging changes sa July 1 at ano magiging luck natin. Regarding sa EOI take note na di lang mga pilipino nag aaply ng visa sa Aussie. Ask yourself, I mean sa pool of hundreds (or even thousand) application coming from around the world, what is the chances I have para ma invite me to lodge. E ngayun basta ma meet mo basic criteria, lodge na agad, ma submit mo requirements at may chance ka na mag ka visa at makarating sa oz rather than waiting para ma invite ka. Pero at the end of the day nasa sau po ang decision, just my two cents!!!

I have the same problem. 60 points lang ako. Over-all IELTS Band ko 8 pero 7.0 lang ako sa writing, R-8.5, L-8.5, S-8.0 kelangan po talaga lahat 8?

Ayoko na po sana umulit ng IELTS. Sa State Sponsorship po pwede makuha ung 5 points? sa NSW po kasi mga relatives ko, pero Sydney sila. So ayoko na po lumipat sa mga regional areas.
Any advice po?

Hi @angel4ever! Yup may 5 points ang state sponsorship (176) but you have to hurry. Dapat masponsor ka nila immediately para may 5 points before you lodge sa DIAC. May points din ata pag family sponsored... Not sure if ibang visa type pa un.

Thanks @stolich18: Hindi ako pwede isponsor ng relatives ko kasi Sydney sila, hindi siya regional area. I am looking at state sponsorship ng NSW but I'm not sure if pwede ako mag-apply to them. These are two confusing websites kasi:

Yup. mas detailed nga yung 2nd site pero ung 1st site talaga ang nakalagay dun sa main website to check if you qualify. I sent an email already to clarify. hehe.

Sana pwede ako sa NSW pero I'm looking WA SS na din. Buti ka pa sir umabot ng 65 points kahit may mga 7 sa IELTS.
Naku goodluck talaga sa mga katulad ko! Medyo nawawala ang lungkot ko dito sa forum. Salamat po sa tulong.

ung username ko nga lang kase parang panlalaki (ginamit ko ung fave username ng hubby ko haha). hehehehe ahhh kase ung points breakdown ko ay:
age - 30
Bachelor's degree - 10
Work experience - 15
IELTS - 10

Kukuha pa sana ako 5 pts para sa husband ko kaso ayaw na nya magpacertify sa ACS and ayw nya na mag-go through with all the hassles. hehehe

Kakainis nga eh..laking factor ng IELTS, 10 pts yun. Biro mo kahit makataas ka sa 3 bands kung isang band ung nagbelow sa requirement mo, wala na agad points! Sana man lang ni-average!! kainis..hahaha

@angel4ever 5 years pa lang ako working. :-) mali pala, baligtad ata, ung bachelor's degree ata ang 15 pts tapos work exp ung 10 pts. hehhe sorry!

Oo naman work experience pa rin yan, bsta may magcertify lang or stat declaration ata. Pero you mean to say ba na parang independent/free lance consultant?

Reply to @hotshot: Sa DIAC points assessment kasi dapat 65 points diba, kaso lang 55 lang nakuha ng hubby ko dahil nga walang points ang IELTS pag may below 7 ang isang band. Ngayon pag apply sa states sponsorhip ng Victoria, required is at least 7.0 ang IELTS each band. Sa NSW naman, sabi sa criteria: attain 65 points on the DIAC skills test. Ito bang 65 points na to is including the 5pts na makukuha sa pag sponsor nila?

Age = 30

60 points lang lahat. kulang ng 5.

@stolich18 consultant po status ko kasi po hindi pa ako regular sa work. haha. tapos wala pa din po open na position kasi sa government po ako work kaya consultant lang.
