    @peach17, @li_i_ren: matanda na mom ko eh, in her 60s. Actually, it's for my own peace of mind. If it were up to her, hindi yun kukuha. Alam niyo naman, medyo wala sa bukabularyo nila yan. Pero inisip ko na mahaba ang biyahe, at hindi siya sanay sa lamig. Baka sipunin etc. I just want her covered. I learned about travel insurance the hard way. I lost a luggage somewhere between houston and hk. Ewan kung saan napunta. I don't want that happening to her. Kung ako lang, kaya ko awayin yung airlines (ala-Claudine, hehe).

    kami inde na namin iniisip ang presyo ng insurance kasi 2x n kami nag claim ng travel insurance .. worth every penny talaga :)

    Pano ba yon? Covered ba in case magkasakit yung person? Di ko kasi gets basta naisip ko ikuha mom ko. Im not complaining about the price its just that nabasa ko yung 4k for 180 days na. Lol. Ako 39 days lang almost 4k na. Hahaha.

    Bluecross din yung travel insurance na kinuha ko. Merong isa pang nirerecommend yung travel agent namin pero mas mahal pero madali daw kausap at di mo kailangang mag-abono. Nasampulan ko ang bluecross last December nung nagka malalang ingrown ako na sobrang sakit...nagmukhang toe ng zombie yung right toe ko. Nagka minor surgery ako...ako muna nagbaya then pag uwi ko sa Pinas pinadala ko yung resibo sa kanila then yung form na finill out ng doctor. Narefund lahat. :) Kailangan rin pala isubmit ang itinerary and yung first page and yung stamps sa passport.



    Pati ba yung fee sa GP - na reimburse 100% sa Bluecross?
    - example kung mag ocnsult kasa GP muna may charges sial ocnsultation fee around $35-55. Ma re-imburse din ba sa bluecross?

    Or ma reimburse lang and expenses pag na admit ka sa hospital?


    dati na rin kami kumua ng insurance sa bluecross kaso nag alaala kami mag pa check up sa GP bka hindi covered since hindi naman malala.

    Hindi ako sure. Hindi pa ko naka pag claim sa BlueCross.

    SA pag kaka lama ko ... contact mo muna sila para sure or inquire ka sa kanila una bago ka kumuha.

    Pag kakaalam ko file mo lang a ma re-imburse mo once na bumalik ng pinas.

    Ikaw muna mag babayad ng expenses.

    Hi.. di ko sure eh... balak ko kasi kunin Bupa na lang for my mother... may nakapag advise kasi sa akin na mag Bupa.. may kakilala daw yung friend ko na kasi sila na na hospital dito sa Au.. then ayaw bayaran ng Blue Cross kasi pre existing daw kasi...so i don't want to take the risk na may mangyari then makipagtalo pa ako sa Blue Cross... mas mahal nga lang.. .. mga 328 AU with Bupa compared to Blue Cross (~143)...
    for 3 months..

    @multitasking.. yan din iniisip ko pag ngclaim baka mgkaproblema pa kung from Philippines ang insurance. And, correct me if I'm wrong, refund lang yata pag from Philippines so you will pay the bills out of your pocket kung sakali which can be huge knowing ang mahal ng healthcare dito. I have a question though, if I get an insurance from Bupa, active na ba kaagad pagdating dito ng insured? Or may waiting time? Because kung may waiting time, baka nasa Pinas na ulet bago maging active, which beats the purpose. Hehehe.

    @ten2six .. kumuha na ako ng insurance through BUPA.. around 109 per month.. ala namang waiting period for hospital na di related sa pre-existing condition.. di na rin ako kumuha ng mga extras like dental or optical kasi 3 months lang naman mother ko dito...

    plan kasi nmin invite mom in law ko because wife is giving birth next year para magka idea lang at ma prepare na din required docs. TIA! :D
