chinky - I saw this one too and applied for it.
There is a catch tough: 1) hindi ka babayaran - 2) Ikaw ang magbabayad 550 dollars to 600 ( I forgot na) at the end they will give recommendations etc. when I asked why the heck I am supposed to pay when they are not even paying for my services - the indian guy said.
Nothing is free in Australia (In my mind FUCK YOU! gago ka ba!?)
They will teach you how to be tax agent doing: BAS(Business activity statements) GST - It just like VAT in the PH etc.
Pero I did not push through with it.
I suggest Errol yourself nlng sa H&R block tax accountants. They got an income tax seminar (saturdays - starting in feb pa cost 610 dollars) Mas legit ito. plus after the 17 week seminar - you can get a chance to be a Junior tax agent.
Hello!! yes..indian din yung naka usap ko sa phone..ang mahal naman pala ng bayad..sige, I will put to consideration yung sa H&R..thanks for your input! malaking help sakin to..:-)
@SYD_CPA thanks for your reply..mas ok nga pala talaga dun sa H& R.. just browsed its site at least parang may patutunguhan yung gastos..study now pay later pa..thanks again!! God bless!

chinky same situation tau nung dumating ako dito. ako naman no xp kc fresh grad lang, gnawa ko nagenroll ako sa tafe course non for myob course. pero dapat pala gnawa ko nagpaassess na lang ako sa cpaa tas kung anong recommend nlang course is for sure may myob naman. pero may mga naghihire naman yan n kahit wala ka work xperience in myob eh willing cla magtrain basta may background k n
@rencerencerence hi! ibig sabihin pag ng pa assess sa cpaa does it mean na mg schooling pa/learn a new course such as MYOB? pacencya na just want to clarify kasi I thought for the CPAA mag eexam to become a member and I've read kailangan daw currently may work to qaulify..I don't know if it's true..thanks for your help..I'm having a hard time deciding which way to go. :-(

Chinky just an input lng from my friends. Ako nagaaplly ako barista o waiter. I got certificates for me to do that. But do not kid youself mare.IT IS NOT local experience.
My two cents keep your focus. Accounting jobs ka talaga. Clerks. Accounts assintant or junoir mgmt accountant. In the long run it will be the best use of your time.
Keep networking and attend seminars to get your self out there. Best of luck! It will come

To me that makes a whole lot of sense.
